We were in the bar on Saturday evening and had outstanding service from David. He was personable, even thoughtful enough to bring me a cup of hot water with lemon and honey for a cough I had. Definitely had great customer service skills. The atmosphere is cozy and will return to see cute David again.

It’s been nearly 3 years since my original review. Tonight was a good night. Showed up at 11:45. The waitresses were wonderful. Fresh squeezed served immediately. They brought back pork tacos and Mac and cheese. Omg. Not only that it’s 12am right now and they should be closing but they are totally servicing us. We are once again stoked on the 10below.

My mother-in-law and her sister have raved about 10 Below and specifically their«10−10−10 Lunch Specials.» Basically, it’s at 10 Below, for $ 10 and served to your table in 10 minutes(that’s how she explained it to me :) The 10−10−10 is served as a small portion 4 course lunch(larger than tapas yet surprisingly well portioned for $ 10!) They come out as 4 bowls on a serving tray. The menu hasn’t been the same on any of our visits but in general you can count on getting a salad, soup/chili, entrée, and individual desert. I believe the 10−10−10 is available M-F. Looks like the restaurant opens at 11:30 and we’ve been on several occasions around 1pm and been told that the 10−10−10 has sold out for the day(we have since learned our lesson to go a little earlier). While it was a bummer, we had no trouble finding other options on the menu that were delicious. My personal favorite was the BLTA(from their menu: applewood smoked thick cut bacon, crisp iceberg, roma tomato, avocado and black pepper maple aioli on a parmesan crusted sourdough). It did not disappoint! Others have commented about it being located in the hotel basement and lack of windows and truthfully it didn’t bother us one bit. The atmosphere is quiet and well decorated. I’m glad my MIL told us about 10 Below!

What a disappointment! Went for dinner on New Year’s Day, party of 5 @ 6pm. Excruciatingly slow service from Kitchen & Waitstaff: Wait times for everything from cocktails(only 1 round because it took so long for the 1st to get to the table that nobody wanted to order again), to main entrée(2 filets MR&2 roast beef MR), to tea(1 of) & desert(3 of) were not acceptable. It took OVER3.5 hours to get through the meal because of the slow service. When entrees did arrive they were luke warm & there was absolutely no seasoning on anything. There was no salt, pepper, olive oil, butter… absolutely nothing on any of the food on the plate. Roasted potatoes with no color and no seasoning. Roasted brussels sprouts with no color(they were boiled & still crunchy) and no seasoning. The entrees were plated with absolutely no finesse — everybody knows the importance of plating, come on. Dessert was equally as flavorless/dismal/plain. Total waste of time & money. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to spend that kind of money for that kind of experience! Again, a HUGE disappointment. The only positive thing that I can say about 10 Below is the décor/ambiance is pretty nifty.

Absolutely terrible service on New Years Eve. Not sure we will try to eat here again.

Super awesome place! Everything from the wait staff to the cooks to the food could not have been more perfect! I can’t wait till I go again! Ask for Jennine she was so helpful and definitely knows her job. The wedge salad with blue cheese dressing was insane! Then again the whole meal was. This probably is my new favorite restaurant.

This place was VERY disappointing! Took my family there on Christmas for a buffet dinner that amounted to about 3 – 4 items, as they were out of everything! People were lined up waiting for the staff to refill the food trays, but the food never came. The bill for four adults and one child came to $ 250… Totally absurd for a few potatoes and the last scraps from the meat trays! Actually, it was pathetic! Don’t waste your time or money… Unless you have money to burn and are on a strict diet!!!

This review is based on 10 Below’s dinner buffet on Christmas Day. Although I am typically not a fan of buffets, theirs was pretty good. The food wasn’t particularly warm, but most of it tasted good. The Parmesan mashed potatoes and the peppermint crème brûlée were definitely the highlights. Our server was both attentive and friendly, and the gentleman playing Christmas tunes of the piano was a nice touch.

You won’t be disappointed! The menu is interesting, and it does change from time to time. The food is great, and it is beautifully presented on the plate. It’s a nice, quiet place to eat, so if you want to converse(and hear) the people with whom you’re dining, this restaurant is conducive for this! We have been a handful of times, and we’ve had excellent service each time. The only drawback(for some, perhaps) to the restaurant is that it is downstairs, in the Oxford Hotel, so there are no windows, so if you need windows, you may wonder about the venue. However, the décor is very nice, and I can’t say I even notice that it is windowless. Frankly, I feel it adds an intimate feeling to the restaurant. We will definitely keep going back!

We went to 10 Below for Thanksgiving dinner. We were very disappointed. We barely had our cocktails when a waiter brought out soup(which was luke warm). Then 2 minutes later the anti pasta !! Service was extremely slow!

I’ve been in here a few times. It’s very nice. I ordered the 10 burger and it was amazing! BUT, the last time I was in there with friends(a few nights ago) I ordered their $ 18 special. It had penne, sauce, and grilled chicken on top. It seriously tasted like pasta with ketchup, and some chunks of chicken. I’m not even kidding. One of the friends we brought with us ordered it also, and agreed with me. It was super disappointing and I’m not sure I want to go back after that. If you go, try the burger, it’s really good. The service is good too. But that pasta dish wasn’t the greatest.

Used to come here a lot last year. But towards the beginning of this year, service was not the best and it started to go down. The waitress out in the restaurant area was never really friendly and would forget our order and would never check on our table. We also once asked them to split the bill into 4 cards with our names written by each of of order and they completely messed it up. One time they wouldn’t do it. And it really depended on who helped us. I’ve started coming back because I missed their garlic fries and happy hour drinks. The last two times service in the bar area has been nothing but great! And exactly how it used to be! I’ll be seating in the bar area more. Service in there is always better. Going to continue my 10 Below come back.

Pretty chic lounge in the basement of the hotel. Came for after-dinner drinks, which were strong IMO. Cheap date in da house… Colleagues had manhattans and martinis w/olives that they were fans of. I had some mixed drink with gin that was too strong for me. There’s a pretty beefy list of absinthe drinks that you can get, too. That licorice taste is the worst to me but some people like it and the presentation w/the water fountain and ice cube on fire is tight. 4 stars for the décor and strong drinks! It was pretty dead for a Thursday night tho.

This place has a hit or miss reputation and it was definitely a miss for us. The service was lovely but the food was not, especially for the price. The menu is really ambitious but it just doesn’t come together in the end. If you can’t get chicken right, might be time to review your kitchen staff. I complained about my drink and the server was kind enough to remove it from the bill and offer to replace it. I wish I had done the same with my entrée, it pains me that I spent $ 80+ on a mediocre meal. Maybe head over to Drake instead. Sorry!

First off, this place is a hidden treasure. Located beneath street level in downtown Bend, OR, the ambiance in this place is amazing. We are venue hoppers, so we like to spread out courses over several restaurants. 10 Below is where we do night caps and dessert. Or Mac N Cheese when they have it! Today, I did breakie with my niece. It was slow so the chef made some off menu treats for us and it was an amazing meal of fresh/organic foods that made me wonder why I have only been here for dessert! I personally LOVE the décor, so could sit there all day, but they drew the line there and walked me to my car instead. GO! Make it a regular place!

Dinner and service was exceptional! Very high end experience and food at a reasonable price. Every dish we had was above expectations. We will definitely be back! The wedge salad was the best we’d ever had. I highly recommend it!

I love this bar/lounge/whatever it is in Bend. The hot chocolate is a must. My husband got the do-it-yourself hot chocolate while I got the one all done for me. The do-it-yourself is a little ambitious for my taste, but if that’s your thing, I’d highly recommend it! The desserts are fabulous too!

Hubby and I remain fans of 10 Below in spite of some bad news, but tempered with good news, in this review update. BADNEWSFIRST — CHEFCHANGE: Chef Brad Wood has departed 10 Below for a new gig at Jen’s Garden in Sisters. Since Chef Wood’s tenure at 10 Below was the reason for our previous upgrade from 4 to 5 stars, his departure causes us to drop one off. For now. After a few meals with the new chef in the mix, we’ll see where this goes. GOODNEWS — GREATBREAKFAST: 10 Below may be Bend’s best kept secret for breakfast. In fact, for that meal we would consistently award 5 stars. Unlike some of Bend’s «yo dude, another Bloody Mary» focused places with dance club loud music in the mix, 10 Below offers delicious breakfast at a good price for the top quality products and a more restrained, one might even say more refined, ambiance with always great service. And for those intent on adult libations with their breakfast, there is a full bar in the restaurant. My husband I appreciate that they source their products from high quality purveyors, like Carlton Pork and Great American Eggs. The meaty, crisp bacon served here is arguably the best in Bend at breakfast. For food of this qality and so well prepared, prices are rasonable too. We recommend buckwheat blueberry pancakes($ 9), eggs Florentine(roasted tomatoes and sauce choron make this special)($ 10), quiche of the moment($ 7), eggs Benedict($ 11). Some menu items, like Bob’s Red Mill Oatmeal served with seasonal berries($ 5) or Nancy’s Yogurt and granola($ 7) are bargain priced for mornings when you want something light. Vegetarian items are also on menu(as in a vegetarian sausage) and the kitchen has, in our experience of dining with friends, also been able to happily adjust for vegan dining. The professional focus of the kitchen is evident in subtle ways such as eggs always served as ordered, which is sometimes a thing difficult for kitchens to get right when one asks for their eggs in a different format, such as baked. Also, dishes like Florentine and Benedict here are dressed with sauces, just right, not smothered in them. Finesse at breakfast is a good thing in our book. Although we continue to wish this was above ground, breakfast from food through service are so good as to entice us downstairs to 10 Below again and again. During breakfast the other morning, one of the couples at the four top next to us was telling the other how pleased they were their friends had suggested 10 Below for breakfast. «We didn’t even know this was here. This is so cozy and breakfast is great.» The response from their friends was something like, «Yes, we always feel like breakfast here is our little secret; so good and yet it never seems busy.» Yep. GOODNEWS — HAPPYHOUR: Remains arguably one of the best in Bend for the quality of HH cocktails and eats if you don’t mind being tucked away below grade in the cool space. THIS N THAT: 1) This is a good place for children too. 2) Universally accessible in and throughout. 3) Check with the valet in front — parking is free if you’re going in for a meal
