This place is amazing. Edward is so professional and is very very kind. You literally can tell him what you want and he makes it 1000 times better then what you wanted in the first place. I can’t even begin to explain how happy I am with the tattoo I was gifted with. This was my very first tattoo and the entire experience was outstanding. I researched online and made my appointment on there. I was contacted to make my consult within the time frame they gave me which was around 2 days time. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted and explained so with the artist I chose to work with. It was a pretty simple process of around 15mins. We then went forth to make a future appointment for my tattoo day. I was pretty nervous to get my tattoo and was treated with respect and made to feel comfortable by the artist. The process began and I made it through with flying colors. I’m so happy with my piece and would go back to monolith in a heart beat, awesome friendly people and unbelievable workmanship. I’m already making future plans for myself and constantly telling all my friends that this is the place to go. I’m completely addicted to tattoos and to monolith. If you want a professional artistic tattoo — this is your huckleberry. Ryan O. is patient and has the sense intuitively and artistically to provide you with what you want in ink. I have received compliments on almost a daily basis since he finished mine. The studio is welcoming, clean, and modern with an edge that comes from the people within being authentic artists and the best at their craft. No sketchiness in behavior or attitudes in craftsmen or clients… my tattoo healed quickly and the color is as fresh as the day I got it. Thanks Ryan + Monolith!

New to the area and looking to get a tattoo and went in today and spoke to the counter person. She stated that they may have a opening and that she would call and let me know in about 30 mins or so. It’s been now 4 plus hours and never received a call, I could have went to another shop instead of waiting on a shop that doesn’t value there customers or there time. This is unfortunate for them as I have a lot of ink and plans for more. There loss and another shops gain.

Ryan! Ryan took my descriptions of the things I wanted and totally incorporated my vision, with his talents, and created my new favorite piece on my body. Although the inner arm is a tender spot – lots of squints – he was comforting in our small talk and providing me with a napkin for my sweating palms. Gross. Thank you Ryan for making my experience in your studio the best part of my vacation here.

I had a not so great tattoo done 13 years ago and was nervous about getting a new one. A friend highly recommended Monolith so I signed up for a consult and ended up scheduling an appointment. Nick was awesome — both professional and laid back and his work was awesome. Nailed the shading. Totally worth the wait! His work was excellent. He created exactly what I was looking for and I was surprised by how pleasant the whole experience was. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing all around! I have nearly twenty hours of work from this shop, if you want any type of tattoo at all and you are in central Oregon this is the only place you should go!

Love the staff, a great clean spacious shop and a wide range of artistes to choose from. I would say this is the shop to beat in Oregon. Pool table and spread out couches make it very comfortable to hang prior to a tattoo. This place has been 5 stars since it opened.

Ryan Osborne is an amazing artist. You bring him an idea and he will blow your mind with his rendering of it. His colors are beautiful and simply amazing. I have referred many friends his way and everyone has been beyond impressed with his work. I even had a friend come in and he was upfront with her about the popularity of the tattoo she was about to get. She didn’t want to look like everyone else and was thankful he was honest with her about it.

Got my first tattoo here in October, 2010 from Ryan Osborne who is an A-​Mazing artist! I went and talked with Ryan about what I’d been visualizing and made it clear what I did NOT want and he went to work drawing up a custom design. I was kind of worried because I didn’t feel like I was very good at describing what was in my head and I didn’t have any pictures or examples but what he came up with was exactly what I wanted!
For a tattoo virgin, Monolith is not intimidating at all — the front waiting area is bright and clean and professional and full of amazing art. Everyone I encountered was so nice and welcoming, from the front desk staff to the other artists. Ryan is very quiet and patient and made the whole experience very pleasant. In fact, we were so impressed with him, my friend and my husband both ended up with tattoos from Ryan shortly after mine!
I’ve now relocated to Las Vegas and am planning another tattoo (ok, so I’m planning several of them, but my bank account says whoa, honey, one at a time). BUT… I have yet to come across a local artist’s work that I like AND a shop that makes me feel as comfortable and welcome as Monolith. Therefore, it looks like when I’m ready I’ll be making a trip back to Bend!

Ed is one of the most talented artists I have crossed paths with and he has assembled a bunch of great artists all in one spot now. Everyone is friendly and leaves pretentious at the door. The shop is clean, well run and worth the years of waiting and 2000+ miles I traveled just to have Ed do my memorial for my Grandfather.
Make an appointment for months out since they are that good, plan your design with them and then let them lay the ink that will last the test of time.

I popped in during a road trip to see about availability for a walk-​in; the studio is gorgeous and clean. There are I think about seven or so artists working there, looking at their portfolios, they all seem versatile and talented.
I was able to book a next-​day appointment with a guest artist named Sean Wright– so I actually didn’t get any work done form the ‘resident’ artists, but I would definitely return here again when I get the opportunity; especially after I found out that the owner/​one of the artists likes Mucha!
Overall, a pleasant experience in a cool shop– I’m really stoked I stopped by and things worked out. I would make a point to come back.

This is the place to be tattooed Ed has been my tattoo artist for many years now, I have Tryed others but no one I have met is as quick or detail oriented. With a man like that running this beautiful and clean shop you know the other artists have to be at an extreme level of skill and passion for the job. It is safe to say I will be back again and incourage everyone to at least check it out if not get work done.
