Lots of beautiful things. We are usually just browsers when in galleries but found art pieces to purchase here on both of two recent visits.

We went in to browse a beautiful piece of mosaic that we were interested in and the shopkeeper was so unpleasant and unwelcoming we left. Maybe it’s because I had my children with me but they were not misbehaved and she wouldn’t even answer our questions. Stay away from this store — Lots of other ways to get beautiful, local art in Bend.

my husband and i live in the east coast but we love to visit oregon every summer. we always make sure to stop by the Red Chair Gallery(they also ship items at a very reasonable rate!). the owners are very friendly and professional; both are accomplished artists as well(Huge fan of their work!). the gallery is packed with so many nice things(jewelries, ceramics, paintings, fountains, sculptures, etc) at a very reasonable price. check this place out — you’ll find something that will put a smile on your face!

The Red Chair gallery Is an artist-owned partnership that recently celebrated its first year in business. It’s a nice place to admire(and buy) modern and contemporary creations from local artists, including potters, painters, jewelers, and those that specialize in fiber, mosaic, and glass. Gayle and I stopped in during our recent visit to Bend as the handsome window displays drew us in like a tractor beam. The Red Chair Gallery is located within the historic O’Kane Building. In addition to the large expansive windows, there’s plenty of natural light and well considered displays that provide a wonderful platform for the variety of art presented. The folks here are also both friendly and enthusiastic about their work and their chance to display and teach.
