Bend is so replete with breweries, that naturally there are bound to be some which don’t quite have the reputation of the more high-profiled ones. Silver Moon Brewing is one such place. Honestly, why it doesn’t garner more attention is beyond me. They are located right near downtown, generally have good brews, and the food is rocking to boot. They are one of several breweries I make a point to stop by almost every trip over the pass. Maybe the overshadowing by other breweries is part of the appeal. Silver Moon hasn’t yet become too popular, i.e. too crowded at times. They seem comfortable with that. I am as well if that is the case. Like a lot of cool spots the world over, places lose their luster when getting«discovered». Having an inside track on a great spot is always a nice feeling, especially in a place like Bend where high season can mean overpacked places. I am probably not helping keep the secret by writing a review here. But, give credit where it’s due.

We loved dining here! We came with family and fiends and were a bit put off by the exterior but the food and beer were great! The service was friendly as well. I had the fish tacos, which were some of the best I have ever had. They had some really original beer choices as well. very flavorful. We will be back!

Beer was tasty, had the porter, did not try the food. Weird location, service was good, and had a dive bar atmosphere, not like the other breweries in bend. Glad they offered half pints off most of their beers.

Outstanding beer selection and they always cater to the customers needs. Also, the live music is always amazing and free!

Awesome beers and a kick ass Monday Taco special(2 for $ 5) and you can choose fish. They are big tacos, and even come with chips and salsa. Great vibe and ambience. Sad it’s over 800 miles away from our home. We will be back to visit hopefully in the near future!

We went here as part of the bend ale trail. My family had mixed reviews but I loved it. The beer was outstanding. Good west coast style IPAs. The atmosphere I thought was home-y but my family thought it was grungy. The down sides we all agreed on we’re location(it’s random with a weird view) and the staff. The owner guy was very conceited and was awkwardly suggestive with my mom right In front of my dad. He made some misogynistic comments that were definitely not cool.(Along the lines of keeping women in their place). My mom didn’t leave a tip. The beer was bangin though which was our reason for coming so for that they’ve earned four stars IPA97 is the best.

Stopped by this brewery on our Bend Ale Trail quest. Got beers, dinner and a stamp. The atmosphere is skater/grunge — LOUD thumping music the night we were there. Lots of big screens. The servers were very nice guys, generous with the tasters before we committed to our pints. The food was OK — good basic pub grub. The crowd was defiantly a generation or two after me — so I probably will not be back — but the beer is good and the food was alright.

Great little local pub. Their Pale ale is more of a session IPA. Tasty. Meet lots of locals here. Affordable beers too.

Super beers. Love the IPA97. Great vibe, Dustin and crew make you feel at home. Even old folks from parts east! Stop by for a beer.

Odd brewery. Alt. rock playing and big screen TVs everywhere. Liquor options too. Beer isn’t bad, but it isn’t really my scene. $ 10 pint and burger deal on Wednesdays the guy was trying to push on us. We just had lunch so we passed. Better breweries in Bend– that’s for sure. The place looks like an old strip club on the outside, too.

A local favorite brewpub. Outdated interior with bizarre mural work, wide open awkward spaces. Fill out your own sheet for sample flights is a great idea. Beer quality was above average with some really nice stuff. Local patrons were chill and clearly big homeboys for their beer. Graphic designer and interior decorator desperately needed. Lots of house beers on tap, around 8 I’d say. Seasonals and one-offs on tap. Prices were great. Don’t miss this brewpub if you’re in Bend as it is literally walking distance from Deschutes, Brother Jons, Crows Feet Commons, and Bend Brewing.

We went to Silver Moon Brewing when we were working our way through the Bend Ale Trail. When we walked in I wasn’t very impressed with the place. The décor was pretty minimal but there was a live band playing which was cool. We ordered a beer flight and we loved EVERYTHING! I really wish we would have purchased a growler or something. This is a great place to go on a Friday or Saturday night for fun night and a great beer!

This was one of the more enjoyable stops on the Bend Ale Trail. I like how it felt more of like a dive bar,(in a completely wonderful way!) than a brewery. We grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered a taster flight. I enjoyed all their beers. The service was even better. I believe the guy helping us was named Dustin and he was great. Really nice and he laughed with us over the commitment to try a pretzel at every brewery we went to. Here there pretzel was only $ 4, the cheapest out of every brewery that had a pretzel. It wasn’t homemade, but that he told us that as we orderd, so it wasn’t a shock to us. We were kind of in a hurry to meet a friend when we stopped in here, so I would love to go back and spend more time at this lovely establishment!

My wife and I went in on a fairly busy night. We sat at the bar and did not get served. We waited for 15 min. while watching people to the left and right get served. Very disappointed. We had gone to other breweries that day that were busy and got served and treated well. My wife was going to try a flight so she wrote down here selections and one of the bartenders grabbed it in passing and just threw it on to the other side of the bar. In a town that is saturated with breweries, you might want to have the staff to be able to serve all your customers. Just sayin…

Rough night here. Went in with a group, ordered at the bar. My sandwich came out in a reasonable amount of time, my wife’s burger on the same ticket came out 45 minutes later and over an hour after we ordered. I followed up with the server twice and all he could offer was that«the kitchen is really backed up.» It was busy, that’s fine, but splitting up the same ticket by 45 minutes and not making it right is unacceptable. I would return for a beer, but eat elsewhere.

Visited from out of town over Thanksgiving. Ended up at SMB when another brew house /restaurant had a long wait. There were five of us and we got seated easily even though they were a little crowded. Not knowing the menu, we asked for recommendations and received honest responses — as verified by the rating for food… We were told we could fetch our own water at the end of the bar — which we were cool with. The food was really good and our waiter, Patrick was helpful, pleasant, and personable. I’d go back in a heartbeat for their burgers and salads. Since we did not know their beer offerings we ordered 2 flights — each with 5 four ounce samples. We all found something we liked. Ratings based on: Food — 4 Cleanliness — 4 Friendly service — 4 Beer offerings — 4

Maybe it was because we were on the ale trail and had visited several other breweries first, made it was a bad night, maybe it’s just no our style but I didn’t not find this place very exciting. We got a sampler and every beer had the same citrusy bite. Not a lot of variance. The darker beers were just so-so. The pretzel was good and essentially was all that kept me from giving it one star. Our waiter was nice but kind of sassy and we were tired and not in the mood. I don’t see a reason for us to return.
