Plain and simple. Clean and cheap. That’s what I looked for. Don’t expect anything else because it’s not here

I take issue with some of the negative reviews. Get real! You are buying an inexpensive room, and you can’t compare it with the Ritz hotel. Being fair, you should compare it to the other low cost rooms you have experienced. It’s not new, butt… This place has everything you need. Clean room, internet, TV with Fox News, helpful staff who knows where to find good Indian food, easy parking, spacious room, clean fresh soft towels, fridge, microwave, near downtown/highway, and a quality bed. For an inexpensive sleepover, it doesn’t get much better.

Cheap and well worth it for the price paid. Ended up with a spacious, dated room with two queen beds, a sofa bed, dining table and kitchen for 5 people. The queen beds were comfortable whereas the sofa bed wasn’t. Some complaints are that parts of the carpet had a musty smell to it and the bathroom light radiated alot of unnecessary heat which created a sauna — like environment.

During my 12 day stay in Oregon we stayed at various motels throughout the trip as we were driving all around the state. Due to trying to get the cheapest rates we definitely had our ups and downs with the lodging experiences. Sonoma would fall into the positive category of those experiences. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the people running the building were friendly. We were only there for one night and arrived rather late but the room did the job! The only complaint I had was the shower was apparently built for very small people. The shower head was very low and the shower area was tight. If looking for a cheap stay and not looking for the frills of a four star hotel, I’d say Sonoma does the trick. Definitely worth the price for travelers on a budget!

The price is low and I guess you generally get what you pay for. The manager or owner told me the room was quiet. While some places on busy streets have good soundproofing or at least some white noise to block out the noise, the Sonoma Lodge has neither and being lied to was highly frustrating, considering how exhausted we were. The heater in my room made things too hot no matter where I set it. In addition, my wife and I sank so deep into the bed, it was impossible to get comfortable.

The owners are so nice that I wish I could be more positive in this review, but I really did not enjoy my room. It was small, smelly and overpriced. I normally stay at Motel 6 because of my little dog, but they were booked up and this place takes pets. They had only one room left. It had a queen sized bed and was on the second floor. The cost was $ 80 plus another $ 10 for my dog. When I checked in, the owner asked me not to let my dog sleep on the bed. I really didn’t appreciate that because that’s what the extra $ 10 is supposed to be for, to make up for having to wash the comforter afterwards. Then I couldn’t get into the room because the lock is so old and loose it has to be jiggled in a certain way before it opens. That required a demonstration by the owner. I should have stayed outside because the smell upon entering was just horrible, a mixture of old age, urine and some chemical fragrance. The room was very cramped. There was a queen sized bed and a twin bed, a small table with two chairs, a small vanity area, an air conditioner, a small fridge, microwave and coffee pot, all crammed together with barely any room to move about. The bathroom was equally small and it had the tiniest shower I’ve ever seen. While old, the room appeared fairly clean, except for the shower(but I’ll get to that in a minute). Everything worked except for one lamp. The flat screen TV was nice though. And the WIFI was good, and for that I’m grateful. Getting back to the bathroom, it’s at least 30 years overdue for a remodel. The shower was about the size of a coffin and it was lined with old cracked tiles, permanently stained with mold and mildew. OMG, I did NOT want to step in there but I needed to take a shower. The only way I could make myself do it was to place a towel on the shower floor. I never got used to the smell in that room. In fact, I had trouble getting to sleep and finally had to open a window which only slightly helped. I was also none too sure about the rickety lock and for the first time ever I jammed a chair under the doorknob for added security. I left feeling exhausted but oh so glad to get out of there.

Cheap no frills newly decorated room that was clean… Yes Indian owned and they were very sweet. Breakfast for free? Hmmmm… skip it and the coffee– It was quiet and we slept well with no riff raff in the motel… comfortable.

This place is dirt cheap. Its clean although a throwback to the 70’s in décor. Appreciative most of all the AC escaping a heatwave. Shower is small although powerful. If you are going to Bend and never going to be in your room lest to crash from bike riding, brewfest and being out all night, this is worth the 60 bucks.
