Out of the blue we finally received a refund for the double billing on the CPAP machine. There was no explanation. My guess is that an auditor finally uncovered their scam. Too bad they still hold the warranty on my CPAP because we need a repair on it.

More than a year ago I filed a complaint with St. Charles after reviewing my chart notes. My physician was Dr. Conrad. There were multiple inaccuracies in my chart notes. It was as if he was detailing another person, not me. I was infuriated. I promptly wrote to St. Charles and an appendum was placed in with my chart notes. I also complained to the Board of Medical Examiners which accomplished very little. I wrote a letter to Dr. Conrad who never responded. He is a royal ass! I fired Dr. Conrad and began to see Dr. Dedrick. Dr. Dedrick is far superior to Conrad.

I was a patient of Dr. Dedrick for over three years. When I was admitted to the Clinic I was assigned Dr. Conrad but requested that I be assigned Dr. Dedrick instead after several recommendations from medical professionals at St. Charles Hospital. The overnight stay was tedious and unpleasant, but only because I had wires glued to my head and various other instruments strapped to my body. The overnight staff did everything they could to make my stay more pleasant. I truly enjoyed every visit thereafter. The receptionists, with the exception of one, were extremely pleasant to talk to every month when calling in for my monthly prescriptions, as well as the respiratory specialists. Seeing Dr. Dedrick soon became like visiting a good friend. He was attentive, always making sure that the treatment I was utilizing was working for me, although I think he thought it worked slightly better than it did, it was the most effective treatment available. He was always willing to explain test results and the physiology behind my disorder and was willing to advocate for me when I needed his help. After moving to a different city and losing my insurance I, unfortunately, wasn’t able to continue under his care. Now that I have insurance and am looking for a new sleep doctor I’ve almost considered going back to him despite the fact that it would mean travelling 3.5 hours to Bend for my doctors appointments. So far I haven’t found a sleep doctor where I live now that can even begin to compare and if I don’t soon, I will be making the trip.
