Elaina in Jewelry, at this Tj Maxx location, is what defines customer service. You can tell she loves what she does and loves people! She helped me try on jewelry and took some time out of the day to really make me feel important. I had a hard day today and just wanted to browse TJ Maxx and I feel like I had a better day. I will shop here more often bc of her. Thank you! :)

This is the only game in town for this brand(TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, HomeGoods). The store is cleaner than most, large, and has a decent enough selection to keep you busy browsing for an hour or so. I’ve always had friendly customer service here, and the only time the check out line was long, was over the holiday season. I think this store can charge a premium and put less on clearance since it’s the only one in the area. I’ve never been so disappointed with a clearance section. It has higher quality products than Ross, and they do a great job with their displays. Unfortunately this means you won’t be finding any amazing bargains, but it’s still a great place to shop in this town of limited offerings. I’ve walked out of here empty handed more times than I’ve bought something, but that doesn’t stop me from coming back. Things change periodically, so I keep browsing!

Wow. What happened here? I knew the store was undergoing physical remodel and it shows. Better layout. Updated dressing rooms. No surprise. The surprise is the attitudinal refresh for the staff. Extending themselves to greet customers and ask if they found everything and so on. No longer bunched together discussing complaints about working for TJ Maxx or past employers or co-workers. Now it felt like a team of people focused on the customer. I used to feel as if I was interrupting break time to ask the staff a question. No longer so. Refreshing. TJ Maxx still doesn’t carry much in the way of my size in the store, but the new attitude of the staff is worth a star upgrade and updated review. Do they have a new manager here? I know not. But I sure hope this customer service improvement is contagious for the Macy’s store staff just down the street in the same mall. Couldn’t resist this:

Parking was excellent. The store was clean and orderly. Selection in home wares was amazing. I bought a bunch of excellent things for my office, like unique hand made picture frames and blown glass for STEAL prices!!! They had high end brands in everything from hand bags(Michael Kors) to shoes(Coach) to clothing(Nike, Banana Republic) to everything. My only complaints surround the workers, I was browsing the handbags moving into shoes and this one older worker was standing there, not working just complaining about her closing duties and how amazing she is at selling things and how she could easily sell thousands at Macys. She was tying up the fitting room woman and both were not greeting customers and were just complaining. Then when I checked out, after loading up with tons of goodies(though the clothing in juniors was not cute — it was totally hippie and hipster, but duh I’m in central Oregon, haha. Anyway, the cashier was somewhat friendly when I approached but then her line started growing and she was getting stressed and got slightly less friendly as she had to wrap all my glass, that sucked. I did feel bad. Workers were walking around her pretending to work but weren’t offering to help the growing line. Finally after like 7 people were waiting, the cashier called for help, to no response. I left and she was still alone. I would go back and yes I’d recommend.

I was in the store with my kids almost closing for the day. I was returning an item and my child of 8 went to see the toys. It’s the first time my son goes to the toys alone and let him go because the store was about to close. I live in sisters and I’m not going to drive 26 miles for a young blonde with curled haired women tell my son if he goes to see the toys he couldn’t make a mess because she had already fixed it or his mom would have to go fix them. Tj maxx being such a big store should be more careful with the employees they hire because my child has same rights as any other child because he is a citizen of the United States. Just because he is Hispanic he shouldn’t be treated that way. He talks both languages and understood perfectly what she said. He felt scared and worried about that situation. Moms accompany your children to the toys section so they don’t have to have the same problem I had.
