I have been going to Daudel for several years now. She was assigned to me when the family group that I had been going to closed and I was too busy to look else where. Her staff is nice but Dr. Daudel has horrible bedside manner. She is very crude and asks things that I felt were not warranted and necessary. Even one of her techs in the room looked shocked at some of the comments that came out of the Dr.‘s mouth during my exam. The worse is that I began menopause early. I told her that I was suffering with night sweats. Her comment was that I was too young. I suffered for two years until I mentioned it to my regular doctor(who is awesome!). He had blood work done and had a copy sent to her office. When I went to see her, she commented«Well, I guess you are in menopause». She had mentioned that she was originally and engineer and had gone back to school to be an obstetrician. I think that she is better off going back to being an engineer and leave obstetrics to someone who really has concern and cares for their patients. Since then I finally have time put aside to look for a new OB/GYN.

the staff in the office is great. The doctor was very blunt(which I ususally like) however some of her comments were way out of line and cruel. She told me I am too old to have a baby and that IVF was my only option. and wrote a referal for a place she works with. She said if i did conceive on my own the baby wouldn’t survive. During the«exam» part she chatted with the assistant about her daughter going to school and picking out a new back pack. I found this rather insensitive since she had just told me kids were not an option for me and my new husband, that it was too late for me, and i had been crying. I went home, found a new doctor and hope i never see this DR again.

Dr Daudel has now been my OB for a few years now and couldn’t be happier to have her as my OB. Such a warm atmosphere and everyone is like family there. Dr Daudel has been quite helpful and has always been there to answer any questions or concerns that I may have. She was there for my first pregnancy and was quite helpful when it turned out to be pre-term since my water broke at 34 weeks. They put me at top priority and I felt that I was in good hands knowing they were doing whatever they could to get the help I needed. Unfortunately she could not be there for the birth since I was at 34 weeks and had to go to Alta Bates in Berkeley but made the transition of going to another hospital a breeze. When I found out I am pregnant for the second time, I did not hesitate and made my appointments with Dr Daudel again. Hopefully I can make full term this time! Dr Daudel is friendly, knowledgeable and the doctor to see if you’re looking for a OB. You can check out her site at

The office staff and technician(physician’s assistant?) were wonderful — very friendly and caring. If I had to rate them on their own, I would have given this place 4 or 5 stars. And if I didn’t care about having any real say in the process of my labor and delivery, I probably would have rated the doctor a 3. Dr. Daudel is obviously competent(although not the warm and friendly type) and I’m sure she would offer fine care for anyone experiencing a complicated pregnancy. However, in my case, I had a normal pregnancy. But when I mentioned that, barring any complications during delivery, I wanted to have a natural childbirth and was taking Bradley method classes, Dr. Daudel freaked. She told me that she did not support the Bradley method and that I should find another doctor. She was not willing to listen to my philosophy or perspective. The only thing I give her credit for is at least being straightforward so that I didn’t waste any more of my time in that office. She handed me copies of my records and sent me out without even a moment to listen to what I had to say. I’ve never had a stranger experience in a doctor’s office.
