Showed up at 8 am on a Saturday morning and was out by 815. Fast, efficient and friendly staff.

This blood lab is the best blood lab there is. I’ve gone to more than a dozen for more than 17 years. The main reason I love this lab is because they were so kind as to print me up my test results because my doctor would wait on my results for weeks before calling me. My doctor would tell me the lab is slow and that they wouldn’t provide all paperwork, but they were wrong. This lab helped me see how crappy my doctor was. To prove my point they sent me to another lab in Concord called Quest(that was horrible) and that result took 3 ½ weeks… but if you look on the test results(for both) they were faxed to the doctor nearly 5 days after the test. I highly recommend this lab and their staff is very quick and friendly.

I’ve used and request to use the services at this lab. It isn’t the warmest place in the world and I have only gone there on Saturday mornings but I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes and the tech was friendly and proficient at what she does. She is not a receptionist although she must double as one which is kind of hard if she is caring for her patient which she maintains as a priority.

I needed to get a blood draw, simple right? I enter with a few people waiting, no one at reception with a sign-in sheet and take a number dispenser. Within a few minutes someone leaves and an employee is visible. I state that I have a question. Reply was sign in and take a number. Door closes. Time to start the chrono function on my watch, thanks Breitling for your fine and accurate features. 8.4 minutes later another person comes out with a urine sample cup and heads to the water cooler. Same employee head pops out. I state that I took a number and signed in and have a question. I was then told that I need to wait. Really? I need to wait for a question that will qualify if I stay or go. It’s Saturday, I may not want to wait and this will take you what… maybe 3.3 seconds to make me a happy camper? I was told that I need to wait. Ok, I do the TOFTT sometimes. As I’m waiting I scan the reception area and lock on to a smudge on something dried on the door that blocks the view of the back to the world. It’s more of a smear, looks like it was viscous before drying and the color is what dried blood looks like. Does anyone know how long a virus can live on dried blood? Bacteria? About this time the phone rings and volume of the answering machine comes on. Yes, an answering machine, so last century don’t ya think? Recorded voice warbles standard hours, location, etc. Then you hear someone leave their name, phone number and account. WTF? Isn’t this a HIPPA violation? Medical facilities are bound by law to keep all information private, this means ALLINFORMATION. Who would be this dumb to have the answering machine cranked up for the world to hear? If they make you wait for a simple question are they worth the wait? Maybe If they have dried blood that could be contaminated with biohazards are they worth the wait? No If they allow the public to gather information about their patient base are they worth the wait? Homey don’t think so I don’t think I need to ask that question now and thanks for giving me the opportunity to make an informed decision on using this lab. The twenty minutes waiting at this facility gave me the reason to walk out. I actually got better service at a 7 – 11 a few minutes later and I even waited my turn. Pass on John Muir. You’ll save time, you’ll save your identity and you’ll keep from being exposed to possible health vectors.
