I went today to get a sandwich that I order 3X a week. The server grabbed two steak meat trays and the looked a little sparse. My impression was visually confirmed further when I saw her spread the meat on the flat bread. I had the identical sandwich at home in the fridge. I wanted to have one warm and fresh but opted to wait until I got home and weigh this sandwich with a calibrated gram scale against the one I had at home… and it was a half ounce lighter. Anyone remember the«heavy thumb» trick of the old school butchers. Heck of a way to bolster profit… shame on them…

I get we are all humans and we aren’t perfect but to almost completely fall apart the second it gets busy… Needless to say, that’s what happened today. We were 4th in line. The first guy was ordering everything under the sun and wanted them to hurry because he had a car full of screaming kids. Both of his credit cards were declined and spent a good 5 minutes telling the cashier that it was their system. The next guy was ordering 4 sandwiches and had to think about every single sauce that was available and which one to put on which sandwich. The girl in front of us was quick. Next was our turn, or so we thought. She was able to cut my bread open and then we had to wait another 5 minutes. Once she started to make our sandwiches, I had to ask her for a little more of everything so my sandwich wouldn’t be just bread. We got the largest drink they have. I filled my husband’s cup with ice, which took another 5 minutes. I tried filling up my cup until I realized, they are out of ice. After a little girl paid for her food and went to put ice in her cup, realizing the same, I walked up to the counter and asked them when they had time if they could refill the ice machine. The lady said they were out of ice. I said, «completely?» She said yes. All the while, they are still charging people for fountain drinks when there is no ice. Yes, it is subway, I get that but, we are paying for it. I’m writing the review because every time I go there, this is what happens. The subway near nations is never like this, even when they are super busy.

I brought my wife, kids and god daughter in at about 1:30 pm on Saturday to grab a bite. We patiently waited in line, and then started ordering our sandwiches. There was a guy named fernando and a woman working at the time. The woman made two of our 2 of our sandwiches when Fernando decided that he wanted to start helping the person behind me. I asked why he wasn’t finishing with us since we were first and he didn’t have an answer. Needless to say, we walked out and went to the Subway on Columbus. I refuse to give my hard earned money to an establishment to a place that doesn’t value me as a customer.

Why would you eat a subway sandwich when Raley’s is right there? Raley’s sandwiches rock!

This is the only Subway that I go to in Benicia! The rest of them suck! Here I know my sandwhich will be made right and I will not have to repeat myself over and over again about what I want. I love this Subway and the location is great!

This is for the Southampton Rd Subway shop, the one by Raley’s– My mother and I had lunch there. We ordered 3 sandwiches. ALLTHREE of them were extremely skimpy. Particularly in the meat department, but also on veggies. The veggies were cut and layered so thin, you could barely tell they were in there. Literally, once you got to eating it, the whole sandwich would flatten down to like half an inch thick. Because there was almost nothing in it. I remember thinking«It tastes like I’m just eating a big piece of bread!» I dunno, its like they are trying to save money by barely putting anything in the sandwiches. A couple places in Benicia are doing this. For an example, read my Benicia Taco Bell review, they skimp BIGTIME on the meat, and fill everything up with just lettuce or beans. Plus I asked for extra mayonaise and it was still really dry. And I remember a couple years ago, I got a wrap from this particular shop and I was REALLY sick from it for like 2 days after that. We’re talking vomiting and everything. At first I thought maybe it could have been something else I ate that day? But then the same thing happened when I ate there a week after. I guess this most recent time, I thought it was just the wraps. But then I got jipped on portions, so… Normally I love Subway, and most of the places I have gone to did a good job with the food. But this particular place is just NOT good. Also I’m not trying to be mean, because I know it can be difficult to learn a new language and all… But if they are going to run a business that deals with English-speaking customers, they need to hire people who speak decent English. I had a VERY difficult time understanding what the man behind the counter was saying. And he didn’t really understand me either. If I said something, he just looked at me… Then looked at the wall… Then smiled and nodded. And then he would just stand there and do nothing, like he didn’t have a clue what I said. I had to repeat everything like 5 times, and point to all the toppings because he didn’t know what they were called. He would just repeat what I said, like«lettuce?» and look at everything totally confused. We actually had to call someone else in there to get the order done, because he just couldn’t do it. And the lady in front of me was trying to use an EBT(food stamp) debit card, which is allowed for the COLD sandwiches only. But the order taker refused service to her, because he didn’t know what EBT /food stamps were… They will lose a lot of business that way. My advice: Either stick to the Subways in Vallejo, they are much better– or keep reporting this one until it improves.

Five… Five Doller Foot Lo-ong… Its Subway. How detailed can you get about a review for Subway. Its either good service or bad. Lately not all Subways have been consistant in the way they prepare a sandwich. Folks in here are nice and thats pretty much all I can say about a review on Subway. I do have one gripe though. I paid $ 9 for a 12″ Subway Melt, 3 cookies, and chips. This is usually around $ 8 or less. At least im the first to review this place. Does that mean im a loser reviewing Subway though??? Maybe im just bored as all hell. Wait… maybe im just a Unilocal whore!!!
