We were just passing through as stumble upon this place. The egg and cheese bagel I had was very good, but the desserts and feel of the place are what make it so awesome! The carrot cake is especially delicious, but the scone will leave you feeling very happy as well-especially on a cold day. They made and heated it up for us very quickly and were very friendly. It just has a local, fun feel to it and is a great place to relax. I may never be back to VT, but if I do I plan on stopping by here again ;)

Love A Bagel is a new bagel shop & café located across the street from Stewart’s. This cozy café offers around 12 varieties of fresh baked bagels, plain & flavored cream cheeses, fresh bakery items(scones, muffins, cookies, brownies), breakfast & regular bagel sandwiches, homemade soups, coffee & tea. There are also discounted day old baked goods for sale(when available). On my drive through Bennington(I did not use the new bypass), I stopped in at Love A Bagel recently for a snack. I picked up Cinnamon Raisin Bagel with Plain Cream Cheese($ 2.25) and a bag of two«day old» butterscotch chip cookies($ 0.50). The bagel with cream cheese was very good, which was cut in quarters and had a soft, light, and chewy texture(not too tough like at other places) with raisins and cinnamon sugar swirls inside. The spread of soft cream cheese was thick. The cookies though a day old, were still pretty good which had a very firm slightly hardened texture and sweet flavors from the butterscotch chips.
