The course is challenging, hard to walk, tight, but fun and beautiful. It’s everything else besides golf that sucks here. Green fees are too high and it feels unwelcoming if you’re not a member. I’ve been coming here since 2007 and the staff has always managed to make me feel like a punk kid only here to cause trouble on the golf carts. The food is only okay and that staff doesn’t seem to like working here. I hear the owner pays them next to nothing along with the grounds crew. It’s unfortunate that they feel the need to be so elitist. I think they only want to market this place for events(business stuff and weddings). That’s why they have such a stuck-up attitude. Mt Anthony needs to recognize that they are working in a blue collar state where most golfers don’t make a lot of money. Be more welcoming to the public and maybe you’d see more people out on the course.

I had the«Salad on the Green» for lunch today, it was a tasty salad with roasted veggies over spinach with goat cheese and toasted pita wedges. The patio was lively with lovely views. I also played golf and the course is in very good condition, the greens are fast and the fairways nicely maintained. Great course and meal!

Pretty decent greens. Challenging to walk and cart fee is $ 20. Too many blind shots. No water to drink on the course.

Every time I go here for a drink I am disappointed! I always request a mixes drink in a pint glass and never get it. I also don’t understand the sliver of lime used as garnish– give me a WEDGE of lime not a paper thin slice. Lastly I rarely get a freaking napkin under my drink so if I squeeze my lime I have no place to wipe my fingers. Why is it so hard to train staff how to serve drinks?

Wonderful view if you sit on the lovely patio. Good selection of cold beer. Friendly service. Kitchen can be a little slow at times, but the food is reliable. We love the Friday night; «All you can eat fish fry». The fish is delicious and not greasy. They have some great sandwich and salad selections for lunch… reasonably pirced. Atmosphere inside is nice — especially by the fire on a chilly evening. Pasta night is not great… I would stick with the menu items. This is a fun place to dine and not at all snooty — like some C.C.s. We love the live piano music on Thursday nights!

I have been to the Mt. Anthony Country Club for lunch and dinner many times. It’s privately owned and the owners are there quite regularly working along side the wonderful staff. One does not need to be a member to dine in the restaurant. They offer some interesting beers on tap and their menu is quite diverse and offers a snack or a meal for any weather occasion. I have enjoyed their fish and chips, french tip and dad swears by their burgers. In the summer be sure to sit on the patio and enjoy the view… in the winter ask for a spot near the fire. This cozy little restaurant is worth your time, promise!

I have been attending school in Bennington for the last four years and it was not until now that I stumbled across the Mt. Anthony Country Club. I had just never realized that it was open to the public and had a restaurant. It is unfortunate that I hadn’t experienced it before, but am so glad that I have now. It has become one of my favorite choices to eat out and the golf course is a very nice getaway from everything. Delicious and fun!

Came here for a business lunch. It was a nice day, sat outside on the patio. Service was SLOW but the good was good. An hour wait for a business lunch is too much. If you have lots of time, I’d go. Otherwise find somewhere else…
