The Grille

Found this place by using Unilocal.Never would have thought a Country Club could do such great food! Highly recommend the Bavarian sampler. My ancestors would be proud!

Wonderful food! Hostess is the best. Friendly. We arrived in very casual clothing. No problem. Beautiful golf course deck. Ate and enjoyed the view. Turkey avocado sandwich. Cobb type salad. Both were incredible!

Stopped for lunch on deck. Nice vistas looking out at golf course. Had great lunch, turkey sandwich with avacardo. My wife had French onion soup. Both great.

I’ve stopped eating at the country club because the prices are high, the food is average, and a majority of the menu is meat/​seafood. I’ve heard they make great fish n chips and steak, though I don’t eat meat so i wouldn’t know. It’s a nice dining room– and so lovely and warm if you get a seat near the fireplace.

We were in Bennington for a night and were looking for a great place for dinner. We found this on Urban Spoon and went to check it out.
When we got there we were greeted warmly, even though they were in the midst of having a massive crowd heading through the doors for a holiday party (was held in a separate room).
We had a fabulous dinner at the bar (French Onion Soup was to die for) and then headed over to the cozy couch with the fireplace.
The atmosphere was great! We will definitely go back on our next trip to Bennington!

All I can say is wow! I walked into this warm, inviting club where the restaurant is located and was served probably the best meal that I have had in the entire Bennington area! The servers were incredibly professional, while personable and more than willing to offer advice on local attractions. I noticed the owners greeting all the customers as though good friends or family. The menu offered variety — there were so many sensational options to choose from! Our bruschetta appetizer was piping hot and somehow the bread remained crispy underneath the melted cheese and diced tomatoes. My kids inhaled their burger and steak quesadilla as if they had not eaten in forever. Of course I sampled both and found them to be almost too delicious to give back. My salad was fresh, savory and plentiful. My husband’s fish and chips were crispy, hearty and not greasy. The desserts at the next table looked sinfully delicious, but I was too stuffed to order.
I am looking forward to my next visit to the Grille — and this time I am ordering dessert!
