My husband and I stayed here while visiting relatives and after having stayed at a different hotel in Boston for almost a week(which was pretty bad), we were THRILLED with our experience here. Big, clean, spacious room with a very comfortable bed and a really good sized mini fridge(complete with a small freezer)! We will never stay anywhere else in Bennington because we have found THE place. So reasonably priced and cozy! Loved it!

I have stayed at the Paradise for 7 years straight. We have the Bennington Triumph Bash Motorcycle rally there every June. The rates are fair, rooms clean and the employees are always nice to us-even having a hose available to wash our bikes. If you want the Ritz, go elsewhere. This is a clean homey place to stay.

We tried staying again. We love pools, that is the main draw for any hotel. When we got into the room we checked the drawers(I always check) someone left 3 pair of nasty socks and a pair of panties large enough to fit all of us. I dumped the nasty contents into a bag and sent them to the front desk. Not even an apology. Rooms are otherwise clean but the hotel is really showing its age.

Just what you need. Not too fancy and not too expensive. I didn’t get the«updated» rooms, but still nothing to complain about. On the plane, I met a guy that runs businesses in the area and he says they always have their business travelers stay there as long as they get the updated rooms. I did mention to the desk that the shower would be a lot more fun if they(for $ 9) replaced the shower head from the one that seems old and clogged.

I’m not one to complain, infact I’m pretty understanding when it comes to customer service especially working in said industry, but this place is filthy and a joke. Under the bed had trash and food crumbs, the so called«wifi» which was the main reason I stayed didn’t exist beyond the check in room. As soon as you walk through the doors entering the hallway to the rooms you have 0 wifi service. The lady at the desk said she couldn’t do anything about it when we addressed the issue. No thought in trying to accommodate anything. Also checking out couldn’t happen because when we are the only ones trying to check out nobody came to the desk to talk to us which isn’t understandable at all because the office they were in, the entire wall is a glass window so they can OBVIOUSLY see us. I would of been more comfortable sleeping outside in the rain where I could have been better accommodated by the squirrels lingering outside. Everything was awful for the $ 100 we spent . It really killed the moment I spent in Vermont with my boyfriend. Very unfriendly, no wifi service so advertising that is misleading, and poor customer service. I would never recommend or come back here despite the«good» reviews I’ve read here.

OK place, a bit pricey for what they offer. Stay away from room 138 unless you like going to sleep and awaking up to the washing machine next door!

I came to Bennington for a wedding and the Paradise came highly recommended. We drove up from New York the day of, left early to ensure we would arrive with time to shower and change before the early ceremony.(2.30PM) When we went to check in, the attitude of the woman running the front desk was horrible. Another reviewer mentioned her angry attitude, which was apparent to us as well. We were informed that our room was not ready and to check back at 1.30pm.(This was around noon.) She was very aware that the particular wedding we were affiliated with was starting at 2.30, yet she made no attempt to expedite the cleaning of our room, or offer us any alternatives. Just a shrug, explaining check in is at 3pm. We came back at 1.30 to ask her if she could prioritize the cleaning of our room so we could at least freshen up a bit before the wedding. She painfully asked the maids to hurry, and we had about 10 minutes to get ready for a wedding after spending 4 hours in a car. If this hotel remotely cares about customer service, they need to improve their attitude and act like they actually care.

Clean, lovingly kept. It’s not a new, up-to-date hotel with all the ammenities, but it’s reasonably priced, and they have well-kept gardens with chairs, some outdoor lounging areas, a pool, tennis courts, lawn games, and horse shoes. I think they do the gardening themselves, because it does have that landscaped feel, but it’s really comfortable. Staff is nice. Helpful. If I were dropping a kid off to college, this is where I’d stay because of the secluded outdoor area to veg out in.(People were vegging out, and they looked perfectly happy.) Seems a place where older people like to stay. Inexpensive, too. Next time I’m in Benmington, I’ll stay there.

It’s difficult to understand how other reviewers rated this hotel so highly. Upon arrival the front desk staff had an angry attitude, kind of «What do you want now?», which failed to improve over my 3 day stay. Upon entering the building where my room was located, there was an overwhelming smell of mildew throughout the halls and stairwell. Fortunately my room didn’t smell as moldy. Every possible cost-cutting measure was in evidence. I was allotted one small plastic drinking glass, and a tiny slip of wrapped soap. The carpeting must have lost its pad a decade ago so that when I walked in the room, the doors on the armoire holding the TV rattled so much I had to prop them open. Positives: the room was large, and quiet, and the village is within walking distance, as is a wonderful little café, The Brown Cow. The room was relatively cheap, and I guess I got what I paid for. Had my stay been more than the 3 nights, I’d have packed up in the morning and found another hotel.

The Paradise is where I recommend out of towners stay — especially if they do not want to spend a fortune. The grounds and pool area are lovely– and the rooms are large and clean. I suggest a second floor location. It is set back far enough from the road that traffic noise is not an issue. It is also very close to the wonderful Bennington Museum — and a short walk to the heart of downtown.

A slice of heaven! I discovered this hotel in 2009 and I find myself returning every year with my family. The grounds are beautiful. They almost have a mystical appeal in my opinion. Overall, there is just something special about this place that draws me there and makes me feel very relaxed. Well worth the stay!

This place is an excellent value– HUGE rooms– double the size of a room of comparable price; located right next to the historic district; comfy bed; very clean; friendly staff. no fridge or coffee maker — SOWHAT?! Quiet and set back from the road. Sorry I couldn’t get into the pool. It is beautiful.

Great place to land for the weary traveler. Positives: Pet friendly Very spacious room with 2 double beds Sliding glass door to the backyard area which is fenced in Powerful shower water pressure Comfy bed Clean everything Nice staff Negatives: Shower curtain was installed about halfway into the shower making for a tight space Room was cold when we arrived with no reservations and it took about 2 hours to warm up No fridge in the room

This is a good place to stay in Bennington. The price is quite reasonable, the rooms good size and the staff friendly. No continental breakfast, but they do have fresh coffee brewing in the morning and there is a nice café across the parking lot if you need a little more to eat.

This place is nice. It is reasonably priced and is a great deal for the money you pay. The manager was super friendly and the place wasn’t too crowded. He thanked us for choosing to stay there and asked us how we had heard about the inn(trip advisor). I would stay there again.

Overall not a bad place to stay while on a ski or snowmobile trip. Easy access from downtown Bennington. The rooms were clean and of ample size. Can’t beat the price for what you get. They have free coffee in the AM as well. The only negative I noticed was there were some semi-powerful odors(smelled like mildew… think ski lodge) in the stairwell that creeped into the rooms a bit. It wasn’t gross, just enough to make you say«whats that smell?». I would stay here again.
