Horse Shoe Restaurant & Lounge

We have eaten here 3 times in 10 days. HUGE portions, great food, clean and friendly staff. This is a jewel right on the main drag. You MUST try their $ 3 Margaritas… They are the best!

Great place for breakfast. A lot of locals and that’s a good sign in my book. We love a good diner and this place delivered. The campfire breakfast has everything; scrambled eggs, sausage, hashbrowns on top of a biscuit and covered with sausage cream gravy. Yum!

I love this place. I’ve been here 3 times now for breakfast and haven’t been disappointed yet. The corned beef hash is to die for. The service is prompt and efficient, but not too much. (I hate those hovering waitresses, none of that here). It’s a friendly homey restaurant with good food and a clean place to eat.

Did not get the opportunity to eat because their staff was to busy to seat us. Sign at door said «please wait to be seated». So we wait and wait nobody says nothing. Finally we leave. If sign was wrong remove it or have staff tell you to seat yourself. NOPE. If staff that rude did not need to eat. Took my tourist dollar some where else.

What a great little place. Food was awsome Patty Melt was so good sweet potato fries were good and plenty of. If ever in the area again we are going to come back.

Tasty café food with home made buns and fresh tasting burgers. Fair prices and good coffee. Very friendly waitstaff and welcoming tone. American food for sure good stop between Bisbee & Tucson or points east.

It’s was pretty good! Their salads are great, I got their horse shoe burger it was different but tasty! My husband got the Philly cheese steak and onion rings. He like the sand which a lot but the onion rings were nothing to write home about. My son got the hot dog, it was also very good.

Always good food and plenty of it. Waitresses always friendly and helpful. Good service.

Authentic food well done with local ambiance. Huevos rancheros with chorizo was best I have ever had. Corn tortilla nailed. The whiskey bundt cake tasted great. Fresh. Great coffee. Great service. Southern Arizonan culture at its best.

I stayed in Benson and enjoyed dinner here with my family. I can’t say enough about the staff at Horse Shoe. Everyone was very friendly and provided great service, especially having two 6 year olds with me, they were very accommodating for my kid’s food orders. To top off a great ribeye steak dinner, I treated myself to a slice of pie that is baked at the restaurant daily.

Awesome food, absurd portions. What is normally a full order of biscuits and grave is merely a side to a 8 dollar omelet. Iced tea was good, my wife didn’t think the coffee was very good which is a little disappointing for a breakfast spot but the food more than made up for it.

My husband and I heard great things about this restaurant, so we decided to check it out after a visit to Kartchner Caverns.
I was craving a burger, so I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. I was not disappointed! Within a few minutes I was presented with a juicy burger topped with two thick cut slices of bacon and plenty of melted cheddar cheese. The veggies for my burger were all fresh and crisp. The sweet potato fries were plentiful and right out of the fryer… no skimping here.
I will definitely be back!

Fulfilling and yummy breakfast!!! Pancakes are delicious and you need to try their biscuits too! Great prices with a large selection of menu items. Their service was great too; very friendly staff! Even chatted with the Benson locals for a bit. I’ll definitely be stopping here again.

Just stopped in to The Horseshoe Café. Friendly down home atmosphere! Good food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff!

The Bob cat burger was delicious! It’s a ½ lbs. Burger topped with green chillies. The French fries are the kind that are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The homemade chilli was great with onion and cheese & a *thumbs up* to their fried pickle spears!
The atmosphere inside of the diner feels very welcoming, along with the waitresses.

Food is always excellent here. Breakfast lunch or dinner. And delicious homemade pies!

One of the best in Benson. The breakfast is amazing. Don’t visit for lunch or dinner that often. But we do have breakfast here 2 to 4 times a month.

MUST STOP! Everything is AMAZING! Ambiance is relaxing and welcoming! Service is genuine! Food is magical! We enjoyed everything we ordered. Cooked to perfection! Will drive from Tucson again just to eat here so we can try more items on their menu! Glad we asked a local where to eat! This place was highly recommended and we highly recommend dining here! Overall pretty good stuff. Was there for the prime rib special Saturday. The reason for the four versus five stars is that rare prime rib was ordered and med — rare was served. The wait staff are excellent. I saw a problem customer handled with professionalism. Let’s just say the prime rib was good and she ended up thinking chicken strips were better. Final thing is she was happy.
I had the rib eye. Seasoned well with a large baked potato. The potato came with the fixings. The lady had a Phillie Cheesesteak and was pleasantly surprised. She has a definite opinion on her cheesesteaks, she ate it all. The other person in our party had the prime rib and wiped the plate clean.
Prices are good with a been here a long time feel. Menu is varied with a lot of selection. The meats are done on a grill. The pies looked great, I had too much for dinner to eat one. I don’t live in Benson just visit family who do. This is our second time and will return.
Remember ti Tip your Waitress, they work hard and you know it will go back into the economy.

Good first impression, will try again fir sure. The food was great and the prices are fair for a café style place. Very quaint, clean and comfortable atmosphere. Maybe five star next time ;)
