Drove past this spot on my way back to NYC from Burlington, VT. The brisket and pulled pork were great but the ribs were AMAZING. Possibly the best I’ve ever had. Just the right balance of rub and sauce — packed with flavor without overwhelming the natural sweetness of the meat. Really top notch. Be sure to stop.

We were on our way to Burlington VT doing local roads from 87 up and gave up trying to a find a spot for lunch. Then we saw Willies smoker and new we had to stop and try it. We ordered pulled pork, ribs and brisket. If you like a vinegar based sauce and your barbecue moist instead of dry you will love Willies. Best pulled pork we have ever had and the ribs were scrumptious. Brisket was excellent. We are from New Jersey, but, watch a lot of triple d and check out a lot of barbecue in our travels and we hope Guy Fieri puts Willie on his show. Thank you Willie.

Great lunch or dinner if you are going through Benson. Benson Bomb with pulled pork and fresh coleslaw was 5 star! The beer battered onion rings were incredibly delicious!
Only suggestion might be umbrella for shade at the picnic table.

I’m no expert when it comes to BBQ, but I know what I like and Wiiie’s BBQ is some damn fine eaten’! We got the pulled pork sandwich ($ 8) and it mustve weighed close to a pound. We got it with the sauce, but I think I would get it without the sauce in the future and put it on myself. It wasn’t overly spicy either which is my preference. My wife had the same thing and thought it was excellent and thought the amount of sauce was great. Different strokes… Next trip we’re going to try the brisket.

The brisket was outstanding. Be sure to ask for the moist one. The ribs had great flavor but they could use some more time so they would be falling off the bone. Credit cards accepted.

Girlfriend and I stopped here while on a road trip after driving by. Ordered half pound pulled pork and hog wings (pork short rib fried like a chicken wing). Liked the hog wings a lot, but pulled pork lacked good, strong flavor I’m used to in BBQ in Texas and the Carolinas. Would recommend this place, but it’s definitely not authentic Southern BBQ.

Finally stopped at Willies on the way down 22 for a weekend camping trip. Stopped there on the way back up too. Get the pulled pork or something he prepares Anybody can cook a hot dog, but his pulled pork is ridiculously good.

I’ve eaten there more than once. I enjoy it much. Ask for sauce on side, as he will cover your meat if you don’t ask otherwise. If you’ve never been, go for it!

We heard from a Friend to stop by Willies and try out his food because he recommended the place. We were visiting up at Lake George and decided to take the ride up to VT to check him out. (We are from New Jersey) The food did not disappoint we had the ribs and the pulled pork and were out of this world!

Interesting and fairly priced local BBQ. The pork is very nicely smoked. Suggest asking for light sauce so the flavors can come through best. Neat roadside set-​up. Really good place for a bite. You won’t be disappointed.

Driving up 22A on our way to Stowe we passed this BBQ joint on a cold rainy Saturday. As we passed my husband kept saying «I want BBQ», so we turned around. WHAT AN AMAZING IDEA!
Willie’s BBQ is FREAKIN AWESOME!!! You MUST stop. We got him on his first day open for the season. A blessing. Had the pulled pork sandwich. Yummy. We are dreaming about it. Juicy, tender, delicious and did I mention juicy? Oh my heavens. A perfect sandwich.
This is a small little food truck in front of his house. DO NOT MISS IT. Do your tastebuds a favor and get some of Willies BBQ. This goes on the list of AMAZING places in Vermont.
Once you go, tell ALL your friends. Willies needs keep making AMAZING BBQ.
