Their tacos hit the spot – it’s a great place if you don’t want to wait in line, or you want more of a restaurant feel than at La Perla. The prices are good. I wasn’t a fan of their salsa(very canned flavor, but it was January), but the hot sauces were great. Their horchata was pretty good.(According to my preferences, the best horchata are: 1. La Perla 2. Taqueria el Faro 3. Rios 4. El Amigo Pepe) I saw a lot of vegetarian options, so I plan to bring the veggie hubs along next time. The decorations are cute – it is far more colorful and cozy inside than you would expect from seeing it from the road. It’s worth a shot, if you are a taco addict like me!

This is a small, family owned restaurant. Good and fast service! The dishes are excellent and large. I would definitely visit this place again. This has become my to go Mexican restaurant.

Great steak burrito. El Faro has fast and friendly service and your food comes out quickly. Super tasty red sauce that comes out in the bottle with the food. Really good steak and Al Pastor tacos. Tacos equally as good as La Perla, but a better burrito here. Seems to be significantly less crowded than La Perla and prices seem nearly identical. Tasty food that’s worth a try.

Is El Faro really not on Unilocal yet??? It is kind of hard to find now that the sign over the door was destroyed, but there’s still a sign at the street! Right across from Taco Bell — try this instead next time you want a two-dollar taco! I like this style of Mexican. I think it’s more like El Sol than La Perla(though I like La Perla, too). Plus, no lard in the refried beans! Yay! Vegetarian friendly, and not too pricey. Just a nice little place with a good variety of fresh options.
