Tropical Smoothie Cafe

A few thoughts on this Tropical Smoothie. I used to be stationed in Panama City, Florida, and the Tropical Smoothie at the mall there was a frequent lunch spot stop for me. 10 years later, I was thrilled that my hometown was getting a TS as well. Unfortunately, what we got was a slow drive through, unhelpful staff, and watered down, bland smoothies. I have given this place a dozen or so chances. It is a convenient stop off of the interstate, but I hope you’re in no hurry. I know this isn’t fast food, but I would guess that I’ve never made it through the drive through in under 10 minutes, even when I’m the only car in line. My favorite episode happened recently when I showed up around 7:55 expecting a happy hour smoothie. I was the only car in line, and watched the clock roll to 8:02 before anyone ever took my order. Then when they totaled me out, I informed them that it wasn’t happy hour pricing. At this point I get the «Sir, it is 8:05 and happy hour ended at 8:00,» line. After not getting that straight, I pull up, the only person in line, and watch the two man crew make my smoothie. It gets dropped off at the drive through window, and the clerk walks to the walk-​in window to discuss something with another upset customer. At 8:15 she comes to the drive through window, again with no one else in line, and asks what was my order. I say, «literally the only thing you have up at the window right now,» and drive off. That was my last time. Every time I’ve ordered a smoothie it tastes watered down compared to other Tropical Smoothies. It is frustrating, and I’m done giving them my money. If you are in need of food or a drink, and you’re on that side of the interstate, just hang on until exit 114, there is a McDonald’s off that exit. I will now set myself on fire for recommending McDonald’s over anything.

Great wraps and the smoothies are a nice alternative for something healthy. Only reason this isn’t five stars is that this place takes forever and seems to be ran by high school kids who don’t know the meaning of timeliness.

Ugh… I want to give this a one star because of all the money I spend here. It’s shameful really. absolutely love this place. Great for a meal on the go. The smoothies are fab.

Been traveling from California across country and I’m use to eating moderately healthy. I drink smoothies a lot because they’re easy on my stomach so when I came to Arkansas I was looking for a smoothie bar. This was the closest one and it was pretty good. I got the Caribbean c-​burst and a flatbread. The flatbread had a hair in and could tell it was frozen and microwaved. The smoothie was really good though.

The staff will help you find what u want if u have a taste for something. Smoothie a day is a great way to start eating healthy!

Smoothies are good and the menu has quite a variety. The only bad part about this location is that the staff is not friendly or helpful at all. The drive-​thru and location are easy and convenient. I recommend going between 3 – 5 for half price drinks!
