They hooked up my cable and I told them I didn’t want the modem I had my own. Cable guy took it back with him. When I cancelled service they billed me 100 bucks for the modem I never even had. I tried to explain but they said either pay or they would turn it over to the credit bureau. They forced me to pay for a modem I never used or had. Never will I ever use Cox again. They thought the 100 dollars was worth more than any future business I would have done with them.

I am torn on this one, today we had exceptional service and got a terrific deal, thank you Brandon! That said I have been here previously and had to wait a long time, talk to people who weren’t terribly helpful and it’s also really hard to not connect the store with the awful service you get from cox on the phone. We’ll keep trying but the inconsistency makes it difficult to provide a better review.

I just hooked everything up and I’m already having a jacked up experience. I asked for one thing and I do not have any of the channels I requested. I think I am dropping this crap off tomorrow!!! No one on the customer service end gives a crap that I don’t have what I requested. Cox is a joke! Don’t waste your time! I am going to hook my rabbit ears back up. Every time I call it’s a different story, different price… Crap!!! I had to select a star, but truth be told cox does not deserve any stars!

I hate Cox too, so much that I am about to just quit watching television. They are shameless price gougers.

Terrible, unreliable, over-priced«service» that has a stranglehold on the NWA area, leaving most people no choice but to do business with Cox. I’ve hated Cox Communication for 10+ years, but had little in the way of options/alternatives. Their digital television was regularly pixelated; often times the audio was out-of-sync with the picture. Their internet service was slower than molasses. We had technicians from Cox to our house more than a dozen times, with the hope of resolving our connectivity issues. Out of protest, we cancelled service for six months and wrote letters to Cox, expressing our displeasure. They did send a special team of technicans to our house to rewire the coax from the pole to our house; they also rewired the coax within our house, but the problems remained. The service still stunk, and it was outrageously expensive. My most recent(and final) bill from Cox shows that we paid more than $ 150 per month for basic cable programming, two digital receivers(one with DVR capability), and«essentials» internet(3MB) service. THATISRIDICULOUS. $ 150 for basic television and the slowest available internet connection? Seriously. I’ve never been so happy as I am today, now that I no longer have to do business with these crooks. I don’t hate many things, but I can honestly and confidently say that I hated doing business with Cox. Good riddance.
