The room and building were what you pay for so you can’t complain. The service on the other hand was out of this world by far one of the most rude companies I have ever dealt with. At check out I mentioned I would like to check out. Was handed paperwork and said may I apply a AAA discount. You will need to speak with Dawn. I waited for Dawn and she said you have already checked out. No I just asked to check out. Apparently it is not policy to show the charges of the room, the bill or to inquire what card to charge the room too it is just done for you. I have now spoke with Dawn(front desk), Heather Marshal(General Manager), and Sandy(an owners secretary) and none of them believe that those basic questions should be confirmed before charging a card. May I add the room nor the credit card was not in my name but a male name and was never questioned either. Dawn did not know how to reverse the charges and had to call Heather. During this process another guest arrived and Dawn asked if she could make me wait while she helped the other customer. Are you kidding me? NO, my time is just as important. The problem was not solved that day. I stated I would call back(note they did not offer to get an answer and call me). I called back and spoke with Heather and she only wanted to argue that the room was checked out and not to solve the problem. I asked for her to contact her manager/owner and after insisting on this she hung up. When I called back I was told I would receive a return call on Monday(the following day). By Wednesday of that week I called back and received one of the three owners other office number and left a message to have someone call me. It is now Friday and I did receive a return call from Sandy(the secretary) but no call from an owner. Sandy recommended mailing me the $ 20AAA discount. My concern for this company is A. lack of customer service B. lack of knowledge of process and procedures C. ability to follow through D. I filed a complaint through the Red Rood Inn website on Sunday(5 days ago and received no feedback from them either). tsk tsk tsk Yes, this has become way more than it should and honestly at some point someone stepping up with an apology and notice of how these problems will be corrected for future customers is all I wanted. You can keep your AAA discount. I wish you the best of luck and for the record there is no southern hospitality at the Red Roof Inn in Berea, Kentucky if you need any administrative support.

For the price you’re getting a good nights sleep. There are no frills in your room, but the pillows are soft and you’re not sleeping in a car! Breakfast and coffee in the morning. We warmed up by the fireplace and hit the road for $ 84.32 final cost after taxes. We were happy.

We stayed here in November 2014; it’s now a Red Roof Inn. Right off the highway, it was perfect for a stop on our way from Ohio to Georgia. Staff were very friendly. There’s a standard free breakfast; enough to get you on the road. The bed was very comfortable. The room was okay; we could have done without the romanticized plantation painting. Free wifi, decent amenities. Definitely could use an update; lots of little things wrong if you look close, but in general in decent shape. For the price, a good room.

The first impression when you drive up is as nice southern home until you get inside. Very shabby and faded rooms. Dirty bed linens, mildewed shower curtain, shower head caked and dirty, grout around tub dirty or moldy, stained towels, peeling wallpaper, very few tv Chanel’s only one movie channel, dirty in room coffee pot, it had not been cleaned in a long time. Most of the lights on the huge neon sign in front of the hotel burnt out. From the interstate you see the words COUN… SUITE the other letters are burnt out. Staff is friendly, the day I checked in their card system was broken and the housekeepers let us in and out of our rooms until the card system was fixed. This property is equal to an older Days Inn, not worth half the money they charge.
