Nick’s Pizza

I’ve had Nick’s MANY times as a child– I thought it was good, but what do kids know?! As an adult, I now know that Nick’s Pizza isn’t great pizza at all! Let me start with the good– their mozzarella sticks are good and so are their hot and cold sandwiches. I’m sorry to say that their pizza sucks! Their marinara sauce has NO flavor and the pizza is not cooked well. The crust is pale and has this strange cornmeal/​flaky texture. It was just weird and coming apart. It’s messy to eat because the crust flakes off everywhere! Yuck! I didn’t enjoy it at all. Also, the pizza is overpriced and they do not accept credit cards! What the heck? Other reviewers have said that the staff is rude– I must say that I haven’t experienced that in my childhood or adulthood. I can also say that I will never eat their pizza again.

Hands down one of the top 3 best pizzerias in Bergen county, possibly my favorite. The specialty slices are UUUHMAZING! Chicken bacon ranch pizza is great. 1 slice will make you full and make the button on your pants pop. But it’s just too good. My boyfriend orders the veal parm sandwich often from Nicks.
We have ordered delivery + ate in several times. No complaints either way. Delivery is always fast + the pizza is always exactly the way we want it. If you eat in it’s always clean and the staff is friendly. They have tons of other options other than pizza as well. Stuffed shells, lasagna, eggplant parm. The whole 9 yards people. I’ve also ordered salads from here before and they are always SUPER fresh!
Honestly, ya can’t go wrong with anything here. 5 stars all around.

If you live anywhere near or around the area that Nick’s pizza is in, WHY WOULD YOU GO ANYWHERE ELSE?

Ordered two slices of pizza, never in my life have I received slices wrapped individually in tin foil when I got to my office they were oily and like rubber had to throw them out.
Usually there food is good so just a warning watch them closely.

This is the BEST pizza in tri-​state area — without a doubt! People say there’s nothing like a good NJ/​NY pizza — well this place proves them right! Not only is their pizza awesome, but all of their other dishes are incredible too. There is a reason why this place is still in business. The owners and staff are also awesome. Best Sicilian pizza ever! though they are pricy almost $ 3 for 1 slice of regular pizza they are one of the best in Bergenfield next to Bergenfield pizza on Washington Ave. Staff is friendly great parking and never packed only downside they are cash only

My family and I have been coming here for over 15 years and it’s by far, one of the best pizzas we’ve had. I usually get a regular cheese pizza and a turkey /​provolone sub (their subs are awesome too). I tell my out of towner friends how great their pizza is and they never believe me… until they try a slice =)

The pizza is pretty damn good here. Right next to the train tracks in town, this spot is a local joint that everyone orders from, not many go to Amicis because they suck. Nicks makes great pizza in general and the service is satisfactory.

I love Nicks Pizza! Not only is the pizza good but the salads and pastas are great too. My favorite on the menu is the eggplant sandwich. I recently moved out of their delivery area– we still order for pick up!

I love the specialty slices. Eggplant or spinach and mushroom or white or chicken parm — no matter what you go with you will be more than satisfied. I also like their salads (along with a slice of course.) there have been issues with the customer service, but the quality of food trumps the attitude of those serving it!

I’ve been here twice and it’s not even in my area. Really polite staff and the pizza is just delicious! I just had their rice balls and they are just amazing.
Overall just a nice cozy place with great pizza and other foods and even more polite staff!!!
Will be back!

Don’t get me wrong their pizzas are delicious but one of the reasons why I do not come here is because the bad customer service I’ve always been a regular customer ever since I was a kid. But God damn they treat their customers like shit. Especially this new girl who started working man does she look cracked out, she has no courtesy her and the older women with short hair always giving attitude. That’s why I stopped going to nicks because of them two. How can they run a business like that??? Don’t get wrong the other workers like Vicky and the ppl in the back are really sweet but they barely work the counter.

I love their gourmet pizza slices. Some of the best I have ever had in my life. However, like most other reviews, the staff can be rude. I have witnessed the owner yell at children, teenagers, and even an old lady. At least, he does not discriminate. They have never been rude to me, but I have seen what others are talking about in previous reviews. They are a bit pricey and only accept cash. If you can put up with some rudeness, definitely try a gourmet slice. The chicken parm slice is my favorite.

Stay away from this place by all means!!! They are the rudest people I have ever met. The old hag behind the counter is undeniably the most miserable person I have ever patronized. Initially I thought I caught her on a bad day (which in my opinion is unacceptable when you are running a business), however, against my better judgement I revisted this establishment again and the experience was worst than the initially visit. Never again!!! People don’t realize that in order to sustain a profitable business, you must first have integrity and have respect for your patrons. They will not get my money any longer and I truly hope they run out of business and learn proper etiquette when dealing with people that are helping them provide for their families. This place is an absolute disgrace.

Overall food is great. Have never gotten anything I didnt like. Place is a bit expensive and does not accept credit cards. Overall worth the visit.

Their food is great. Meatball parm sub amazing. Chicken parm platter can’t be beat. Their gravy is top notch. Only downside is they don’t accept credit cards. Other than that, great great food. Pricing is high. Let me put it this way… We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni, sausage, peppers, and onions and it was $ 26.00. It just seems high to me. Not trying to be cheap but spending almost $ 30 for a pizza is extreme.

Like the previous comments… The employees are rude! I had went in with my little cousins and brought my own water bottles for us and asked for 2 cups. The lady gave me a nasty look and by the time I went to pay she charged me .20 cents for those cups. Gave me crazy attitude when I asked why one of the employee charged me 4.50 and the rude lady charged me 4.70. She said because «You brought your own drinks and that’s all kids these days do now a days» (mind you im practically a new customer) she’s shouting at me and the other customers looked concerned and by the look of it they felt bad that my little cousins were scared.
Like any normal pizza restaurant they let it be known when something is going to cost extra. They should’ve known better especially since they’ve been there for years.
Bottom line– food’s good, some employees are nice while the others are horribly rude. (the older white lady in particular!!!)

Great pizza place for a slice sandwich or salad. Food is fresh and great tasting. Great service awesome staff. Only downside is its cash only so make sure you bring some.

If it were based on the pizza and other menu items alone it would definitely receive 5 star from me. However taking the entire experience into consideration it gets a 3. The restaurant is small so at certain time there is no seating. My biggest issue would definitely be the employees they can be very rude and even nasty sometimes. NOW the only time I get pizza from here its always a to go order.
