Taylor Rental

We rented everything for two different parties from Taylor rental. The first was a bridal shower tea for 40 — the tables, chairs, linens, China, etc were all beautiful. The second was a team lunch for 25 after the Sharing Network 5k. Again, the tables, chairs, linens were all perfect. Both times delivery and pick up were easy — the staff is always friendly and helpful. The party store at Taylor Rental is our go to place for party supplies.

I needed a truck to move a couch from Basking Ridge to Summit. Taylor Rental could not have been any more convenient for me as it’s located right on Springfield Ave. They have Budget rental trucks. I was able to make my reservation online and secure a 16 foot moving truck. I was able to get a decent rate online but I was disappointed they didn’t have any 10 foot trucks.
I arrived right on time to pick up my reservation. When I walked in, I overheard employees talking about their «system» being down. Uh-​oh. I walked to the counter and an employee asked me if I needed help. I explained that I was here to pick up a truck rental. They paged an employee. About 2 minutes later, a woman came to the counter and asked why I was there. Again, I explained that I was there to pick up a rental truck. All this, while the original employee sat two feet away and didn’t jump in to say that she had already spoken to me. Anyway, this other employee helped me out. It was actually a pretty strange experience and not efficient at all.
It took way too much time to sign paperwork, get the keys, etc. The truck was right out front, so I didn’t have to wait too long for that. They didn’t do a great job explaining some of the truck rental options to me. I had to ask for some clarification.
Everything with the truck rental worked out fine and I had plenty of space in the 16 foot truck. As an FYI, those trucks are huge. I had way too much wasted space. I had the truck for less than 2 hours so everything was fine.
When I walked back in, every one was sitting around and complaining about the system being down. Once again, I thought uh-​oh. The checkout process still took way too much time. I’d use this place again simply based on pure convenience. It’s also like a party supply store, in case you need to get any Halloween supplies for upcoming festivities.
