An inattentive staff and poor shelf stocking makes this place hit or miss when its open.
The fact that they lock the door 15 minutes or more before the posted hours takes this from «shitty convenience store» to «shitty and inconvenient store.» Even after I had walked home pissed off, let myself in, taken off my shoes, and booted up my computer, the clock read 11:59.

Very clean and tidy. Got pretty much everything you would want from a 7 – 11 except that it is NOT open 24 hours. Then again, very little is in Berkeley!

In addition to being closer to me than the 7-​Eleven on University and Sacramento, this spot just seems cleaner and the people who work here are nicer.
I think I wrote a review about how the cashier at the other 7-​Eleven did not want to break my 20 for me and instead tried to stick it to me by making me wait until he served another paying customer in line behind me before handing me two tens. Really? that would’ve only taken 10 seconds but you made wait 5 more minutes just so you could show me how my request annoys you? Just say no to me. Don’t play these stinking mind games with me.
Hm, maybe I haven’t gotten over that other experience. That other 7 – 11 has nothing to do with this particular branch except that it makes this one seem like heaven. Haha 7-​eleven heaven.
Okay, unresolved inner bitterness and cheesy rhymes aside, this 7-​eleven is clean, has a parking lot off of University and seems pretty alright. I like!

this 7-​Eleven is 24 hours, doesn’t sell liquor, does sell cell phones, cell phone plans, fruits, sammies, salads, pizzas, wings, egg rolls, cigs, e-​cigs, and a large variety of chips, drinks.

5 stars for a newly opened 7-​Eleven in perpetually vacant storefront! The interior has been renovated, everything is brand new, it’s clean, they have a Citibank ATM machine, it’s fully stocked, and they’re open until midnight. The exterior has a neon sign, they did some landscaping behind the building near the parking lot, and they even installed new lights on the side of the building. Some of my neighbors may not be too jazzed about having another convenience store in the area but hey: at least they don’t sell liquor!
