I am sorry to see that this pottery store is going away. It will be replaced by a apartment building. That means that our quiet little neighborhood will be that much bigger. The store has really nice pottery. I hope they relocate.

This location is closing in February 2016 and regularly priced items are 20% off. Not nearly as big as their Oakland location, but everything here seems accessable compared to Oakland. Service was friendly and capable. The pots we found were more expensive than the identical ones we saw in Oakland, but ended up being a bit cheaper because of their 20% off discount. We pulled right into their front entrance and they loaded the pots into our vehicle and off we went, just like that. Pretty easy neighborhood street parking.

Now’s the time to stop by AW Pottery! They are closing this location in Feb 2016 and everything that isn’t already marked down(with a «Special Price» sticker on it) is 20% off. Prices are all over the place, so it’s worth it to wander around until you find something you like that isn’t too spendy. I found a big(about 18″ diameter and 24″ high) planter to re-pot my Meyer Lemon into for $ 34. Cheaper than some plastic planters I’ve seen! Some pots seem ridiculously overpriced even at 20% off, but maybe since they’re trying to liquidate as much as they can before they move they would be willing to bargain…

Nice selection of pots. They’re mostly kept outside and are somewhat dirty, but they’re easily cleaned up.

I went here the other day and was happy with the wide selection — much more than you’d find at a nursery with fair prices and quite a few«specials» hidden in between. I didn’t see anyone most of the time I was shopping there(which I prefer), but when I did need help I was able to find someone and they were friendly and helpful. I hope to go here again and find some new treasures to add to my home/garden collection. I don’t think the other review written quite does this place justice. It’s a mostly outdoor lot FULL of pots, so of course it’s a bit dirty(rain happens); nothing you can’t go home and clean up. I’ve been to many pottery outlets between SF and Monterey and found it to be similar in set up and price. I prefer this location over the Oakland one because it’s in a nicer neighborhood.

I went to both their Oakland and Berkeley store. Selection is quite wide, but pots are not well-organized and filthy. Those with allergies to dirt better not go there to browse. Owner and employees lack customer service. Price is above moderate(despite their out of way locations and warehouse type condition). No refund, only exchange and still must be within a short time frame. You can get same goods at similar price but with much better customer service in other nurseries. As such, I would not bother with this store any more.
