If you DON’T eat here, it’s a great study/work spot. Free fast wifi, beautiful views, ample table space, not too busy, lots of natural light, clean restrooms, friendly people, nice trails outside if you need a breather to relax your mind and stretch your body, etc. Maybe they should rename it from Bay view café to Bay view public wifi hotspot. Would make expectations line up better. I was a Cal student so I have some experience with the food. It’s the same fare made by the same staff with the same supplies and recipes that they serve in the dorm cafeterias. So if you order food, don’t expect more than what they give Freshman, and don’t expect prices any better than what the UC charges the unsuspecting tuition paying parents for their kid’s meal plan.

Don’t eat here. Overprices, unprofessional-looking, and not that great tasting. Bring your own food if you visit the Lawrence Hall of Science. This café ruined my visit to the Hall, which otherwise I think is great. Bring your own food because there’s no other food options here(other than vending machines). I wrote a full review on this café on the Lawrence Hall of Science:

I have eaten here hundreds of times and it’s not bad for cafeteria food. I really enjoy the turkey taco salad.
