Cloud 9

Cloud9 is the most unique venue for private parties imaginable! I spent days and hours on line searching for a venue for my husband’s 50^th birthday party, and no place even came close to this gem I finally landed on.
If you’re looking for a warm and funky vibe, with DJ set up and a fabulous sound system, plenty of cozy corners, mezzanine, and a super cool tour bus with sofas and seating for conversation, a full kitchen, and highly skilled, professional bartenders, this is truly the perfect spot! The staff was so accommodating and helpful, and really friendly. They made it so easy for an armature like me to throw a truly unforgettable party.
Now I’m looking for excuses to plan another event!

What an awesome space! It’s like the warehouse party venues of my 20s grew up and got classy but stayed cool.

Cloud 9 is a community space and arts venue. It’s apparently available for rental, which I only discovered when a friend recently threw himself a huge — and delightful — birthday party.
There are multiple rooms at Cloud 9; upon entering from the street, there is a large anteroom — which in this case served as a coat room and place to house appetizers and cookies (I ate them all). The central room may be the largest — it houses a full kitchen and is also home to a parked trailer filled with art. You read that right — a full-​sized trailer lives in the central room, steering wheel and all. There are translucent, jellyfish-​like creatures hanging from the ceiling which provide great ambient light. The back room has a stage and dance space for all of your performance needs — including, might I add, an adult puppet show. Yes, that happened.
They apparently also offer Tai Chi and yoga classes, as well as musical performances and dance parties (says their Facebook page:
). Good to know about local, rent-​able venues if you need one!
