We chartered the Compass Rose for our company’s holiday cruise. The owner, Eliot, was easy and pleasant to book with over the phone and answered my follow-​up questions on email very promptly. Our charter was on an evening in January when the forecast called for rain, so we really weren’t sure how it was going to turn out, but Eliot watched the forecast closely and advised that the conditions would be favorable. He was absolutely right and we had a very fun night taking in the lights and sites of San Francisco, Alcatraz, and the Bay and Golden Gate bridges. The food (we selected a mixed hors d’oeuvres menu) was quite good and the crew was very solicitous. The boat itself is very comfortable and well-​maintained and appropriate for even more formal occasions than ours. We had around 20 in our party so we had lots of room to spread out in the main cabin, deck and flybridge. The entire experience exceeded my expectations.

San Francisco, CA
I booked a company event for one of our sales team of 20 people to experience life on the SF bay using Compass Rose Charters. Majority of our sales team are not from San Francisco, so I figured this is the way to go. Oh boy was I right! Everyone had a wonderful time and complimented the yacht and the crew. Unfortunately I was not able to attend (booooo) but the feedback I received from each employee that attended were GREAT! Kind of wish I was part of the sales team, so I could of had a awesome time. Also Eliot made booking the reservation very easy, really appreciated his help in trying to accommodate our needs, especially on a short notice.
Thank you Eliot again, and our company look forward to using your service for future events.

We had a great afternoon on the Bay today. Greg let the kids steer the boat a little, Ken was a gracious host and Laura made excellent bloody Mary’s. The chef prepared a fabulous meal, deserts and aperitifs. It was delightful. We can’t wait to go back.

The crew was great — super friendly and very helpful. They commented on the things we saw so that we knew what we were seeing and could appreciate it that much more.
The food was okay.
