My wife and I had been talking about landscaping our backyard for over two years. Well we finally we got smart and put it into the hands of Harkness Gardens. The owner Paul is a complete professional and assisted all the way from drawing up a plan to installing a beautiful backyard to suit our needs. Paul put in decomposed granite, sod, concrete pavers, a drip system, gravel, etc. He made our yard comfortable and more efficient. I would recommend Harkness Gardens to anyone based on the quality of work, attention to detail, fair prices, and overall professionalism and ease to work with!

We used Harkness Gardens for a mid-sized retaining wall replacement, fence installation, and garden re-do this Spring. Paul was FANTASTIC. From the very beginning, Paul was flexible, attentive, and a great communicator. He also had phenomenal and constructive ideas – from using native sod (a huge water savings) to suggesting cost-effective and beautiful materials. He was also happy to do the scope of the project to allow my husband and me to do the fun part (planting and detail work on the fence) and had lots of great suggestions for us.
He and Malcolm kept a timely, clean, and professional job site, and completed the job on budget. And when a few questions popped up after completion, Paul was happy to stop by and answer our questions (and even looked in on our lawn when we had to leave town suddenly!).
The garden looks GORGEOUS. I’d use Harkness Gardens again in a heart beat. Feel free to message me for a more detailed recommendation!
