Such a comforting and unique breakfast place in a lovely neighborhood. I can’t wait to head back again.

A great place for Brunch — especially mimosa lovers! On a sunny weekend day it’s hard to not enjoy some bubbly + OJ and breakfast eats. I had an omelette and it had a good heap of ham and the other vegetables + cheese that I customized. It was cooked well and a good portion and also came with a healthy amount of hash browns/potatoes that were slightly under-seasoned but still tasty. The highlight was definitely the mimosa pitcher for $ 15 — I’m pretty sure the girl still poured an entire bottle of bubbly with some OJ. Amongst two people it was 4 – 5 glasses each– which is basically what I drink at bottomless mimosa anyways(darn Asian glow).

Came in for lunch with a girlfriend and was especially impressed by the deli case – we did a sample plate of a beet-citrus salad, mushrooms in white wine sauce, kale-cabbage-radish salad, and baked butter beans with feta(greek style). Oh and the cinnamon buns! This is my new favorite place in Berkeley!

I was getting my car serviced next-door, so thought I’d drop by this café while I waited. To warm up, I just got steamed pumpkin spice soymilk, and it was delishhh!!! I didn’t know such a thing existed! Why doesn’t Starbucks offer this?! Definitely coming back for more! It was a great, quiet spot with plenty of wifi and outlets! The service was fast and super friendly! Great experience :)

I really enjoy this spot. They have great coffee drinks(they roast their own beans) and inexpensive mimosas, but their food is a bit over priced for what it is. If you come, make sure to allow extra time, as they’re not the quickest. But, if you wanted quick, you’d probably walk down the street to the Starbucks. They have a nice outdoor patio, and it’s dog friendly. I really enjoy coming on a nice day with my pup and a book. A lot of people come here to work/study, and it’s generally a quiet atmosphere. Lots of outlets, decent wifi, and friendly folks working.

I’ve personally never been here during normal business hours. Both times I visited this place were for work functions and I’ve had a good time at both… so I’m uncertain how objective my review can be. Caveat set aside, this place is perfect for small group events. They have a small patio area and a sizeable dining area for a party no bigger than 25 people in attendance. It could be packed with 10 additional bodies but then it would be crowded. Catered food is decent. I personally love the lumpias — I think they’re easily the best dish they serve. The macaroni and cheese could be better with more flavor but it’s still decent. They also serve pulled pork sliders. The pulled pork is average but I’d suggest toasting or heating up the buns because they served the buns cold. =/

A comfortable and friendly place to sit down and work. Very good coffee, good food and baked goods. I have not been here for brunch, only for lunch or afternoon coffee, and usually there is a seat inside at a table(though it might be the communal table). I usually find parking right on the same block, and since it’s governed by 8-hour meters, there’s no rush.

Very cute coffee place, petty small but has big table for bigger grops. The best part is the out side sitting,. The coffee and music are great and the pastries are petty average. Come check it out!

This place is super duper cute and cozy! I came here for brunch with a friend and got the french toast with a side of eggs. My friend ordered the pancakes with fruit. Both of our meals were great, and I have to say their scrambled eggs here are AMAZING. I would definitely come back here just for the eggs, although the brunch here is kind of pricey.

Really cute place. Nice outdoor seating as well as indoors with plenty of natural light. Good food — a little expensive though. Kind of a cross between a social café and a study café so expect both crowds.

Cute and cozy place to study. They also have an outside patio area. By far my favorite place to study in Berkeley. Had their veggie panini. It was good. Not like mind blowing but not bad either.

I happened to go to Lindgren’s Coffee to do some writing, when the menu announcing an all you can eat buffet brunch with coffee for $ 15 caught my eye. What a deal. Lindgren’s roasts their own coffee, in a medium to dark roast. The roaster is in the back of the café, and serious addicts might want to sit near it as the staff occasionally open tubs of coffee and you can get one of those amazing whiffs. The coffee is just strong enough and so incredibly delicious, especially for people who love dark roast like Peet’s traditionally has been. The owner is right to think of it as Berkeley style” as you often get those darker coffees in local independent coffee shops. But I digress. Great wifi, vibe of students studying, and the brunch was incredibly delicious. Scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and sausage, pancakes and french toast, and perfectly roasted home fries that alone would lure me back on Sundays for brunch. The patio out back with umbrellas is beautiful. Can’t wait to return on a sunny Sunday — as they have bottomless mimosas to boot.

Cute place to study and get brunch! Tables and outlets were available. I got brunch here which was pretty good, not too filling though. Overall, would come back again to study but maybe not for the food.

This is one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a café in a long time. I’m on a walk to a hike, decide to stop here for a sandwich to go. I only see a handful of «salad» sandwiches that are cold… Seems like paninis are their thing. So I ask — do you have more cold sandwiches? Dude behind the counter said something like«we have lots of sandwiches, what would you like?» I ask for a turkey sandwich. Cool, coming right up. I’m standing there waiting for my sandwich… Continue to stand and wait for the sandwich… Ten minutes later still standing there waiting for the sandwich. Another employee asks — can I help you with something? I said yeah I’ve been waiting for a sandwich for like ten minutes. He asks what sandwich. I tell him. He starts washing his hands! No one was making my got damn sandwich! And the first employee is helping other customers all the while… Didn’t ask a soul if they were working hard for my turkey sandwich. So he asks if I’d like something else for the wait and I say sure — I’ll take a cup of coffee, thanks. Nice gesture. Totes almost reaching two-to-three star territory. Until I eat the sandwich… About 30 minutes later with a beautiful view of the Bay Area on my hike, I open the sandwich and it is literally the following: lettuce, tomato, FANCYSHREDDEDCHEESE(on a cold turkey sandwich, mind you), two patties of grilled turkey(patties — yenno, the kind you put on a hot sandwich), and two slices of white bread. No joke. Not even a little mustard. Or a packet of mustard. K so if you don’t make cold sandwiches, admit to your strong suit of hot sandwiches and call it a day… Don’t make due and charge me nine dollars for a horrible situation. I feel ripped off.

Good place to study with a home feeling to it, lots of natural light. The music can sometimes be too loud for me to be able to concentrate to study, but sometimes they also play calm music with no lyrics on lower volume which is great. The place is a friendly coffee shop with a nice plant on a table and the owner is nice though prices are not the cheapest around.

Cozy place, perfect for a chilly rainy day. Nice place to talk and study and not overcrowded unlike other cafes. Calm, quiet music, I’m really feeling this place! Since I live close by I can definitely see myself coming here more just for some alone time. Tried the chocolate croissant which was good and Chai latte was alright. Pretty big cup for regular. Granola yogurt with bananas was served in a pretty big bowl.

I thought the service here was unfriendly and unhelpful(hence the downgrading of stars). I had a granola and yoghurt dish which was pretty good. The décor and ambience is nice and friendly and it wasn’t too crowded either which is always good. They also have an outdoors section.

The service here is really inconsistent. Food comes out really really slowly(one time they altogether forgot about my order until I reminded them); sometimes it tastes good, sometimes not. Food items are also pretty overpriced. Pastries and stuff are not prepared there and are usually stale. Too often, they don’t have the ingredients to make stuff on their menu. The coffee is good, though. They play chill music, décor is nice, and they have a lot of outlets. Wifi is pretty reliable if you sit inside. Out in the back patio, it comes and goes. Inside has poor ventilation; often the smells and heat from the kitchen are overwhelming. It’s just very close to where I live, so I keep coming here despite all the inconsistency.

Pros: Brunch buffet and bottomless mimosas, awesome outdoor seating that is very brunchy Cons: Overpriced, food isn’t that great, service can be really slow I’ve been here twice now and both experiences have been alright. The first time I came, I ordered a egg salad sandwich which was decent but a real rip-off price wise(around $ 7ish) Most of the people in my party ended up getting the buffet option with bottomless mimosas but the offerings are pretty slim and standard. Some things I remember are bacon, sausage patties, eggs, omelettes, homefries, and access to a fruit bar. Not bad, but not great when you’re paying something like $ 22. I remember one friend ordered some fruit pancakes, didn’t get her order until way after everyone else got her food, AND ended up getting the wrong fruit topping. The second time I came here, my group shared a pitcher of mimosas which filled about 12 glasses. The food was just alright as usual but the food came out so slowly. Granted it was a weekend brunch, but we definitely waited over 40 minutes for our food. The waitress did give us complimentary tidbits for having us wait so long which was a plus, but the last two people to get their meals actually had to reach over the counter and grab their plates themselves. Their orders were literally just sitting ready for delivery to the table, but none of the waiters made a move to bring it over. SO yeah! Lindgren’s is a nice place to lounge around and eat pricey brunch, but only if you’ve got a lot of time and you’re not going there for the food.

Very cute café in the neighborhood. It’s already one of my favorites to study; love the music and natural lighting, as well as the smell of bacon cooking throughout my study session. Lots of outlets too and outdoor seating. I ordered the bacon maple latte and didn’t have to wait long for them to bring it out. I thoroughly enjoyed the chunks of bacon they added. The BLT was good: crisp bacon, toasty sourdough bread, and there was plenty of clean cut tomato slices and lettuce. I got the lingonberry mocha the next time I went, and beware it is rich and sweet, too sweet for me but my friend liked it so we switched(I got her pumpkin spice latte which was super good). Drinks are a bit pricy, around $ 5 for the special coffees. I do wish the baristas did more latte art. I also love the blueberry muffins, and they heat up the cinnamon rolls for you. The scones looked great(I’ll try them next time). Overall great weekend brunch/study spot!
