I have tried many many stylist in Bay Area and she is the only one who was able to listen to my concerns and match the quality of my stylist in Paris! she is supper friendly and professional.

Lupe did my hair/​makeup for my September wedding in Berkeley (with a trial run a couple months earlier). She was extremely professional and down-​to-​earth, and she did a great job making me look good in photos while still looking and feeling like myself. If I lived locally I would definitely try her out for haircuts too!

I had both makeup/​hair for my wedding and as well as hair cut.
Wedding makeup/​hair — she was great! She’s easy to talk to, listens to your requirements. During the trial, I found my wedding makeup color on the first try and hair style on the three try all on the same day! Before my wedding day, I bought a reception dress so I asked her if she can do something so I can have hair down for my reception dress (I had a side bun for ceremony) she agreed and it turned out perfect! I got nice soft wavy hairs during my reception. I got so much compliments from my friends and family! Also my makeup stays on through out the wedding (morning) and night !!!
Haircut — I went back to her after my wedding (following week) for a haircut. I usually leave my hair long but this time I decided to cut shorter (it was a big risk for me since I haven’t really got any good hair cut recently so I don’t really go get my hair done). I showed her the haircuts I liked and also told her I have big round face so I want my hair to be able to shape my face but at the same time be able to tie them if needed. She gave me some suggestions and I agree with her and it turned out great !! It’s one of those best haircut I ever had !!

I took a makeup lesson with Lupe and had a fantastic time. She listened to what I wanted and helped show me how to create a natural but enhanced look for my wedding day. She is patient, helpful, and thorough in explaining everything. I definitely recommend her!

This woman is my hair stylist-​soulmate! I have been happy with every single cut I’ve gotten from her, and just booked my first color/​highlight service with her. Her prices are in no way over the top. I believe that you pay for what you get, and with Lupe, it is worth every penny! I even brought my mom to her a couple times… she’s as good as it gets.

I had a terrible makeup and hair trial with another woman, and I came to Lupe really hoping she’d get what I wanted for my wedding day: natural, clean makeup and a half-​up do with a braid and curls. She totally got it! The trial went really well, and she is such a sweetheart! She gave me a lot of great advice on how to organize things on the day of. And during the makeup trial, she’d try something, like darkening my eyebrows, and then she’d have me check it in the mirror to make sure I liked it. I knew I wanted to book her as soon as the trial was over.
My favorite thing about Lupe is that she’s real. You know how some hair stylists will always say «ooooh great idea! this will look amazing on youuuuu!» just to make you happy? Hate that. Lupe, on the other hand, gives you a straight answer. If she thinks there is something better that you can do, she’ll tell you! Thank goodness! So when I came in for an emergency haircut a week before the wedding, she suggested more layers to bring my not-​so-​voluminous hair to life, I was excited to try it! And of course, she was right. :)
Also, here is some proof that Lupe is a trooper. She had a pretty bad cough and allergies on the day of the wedding. But she showed up on time and didn’t complain a bit. She made my bridesmaids look lovely, and was only a tad behind schedule. (My girls have a lot of hair!) My hair was a bit different from my trial, but it looked amazing. (I was so nervous that I didn’t even notice it was slightly different until I saw pictures.) Lupe was also careful to get my waterfall braid to look perfect. I think she did each side like 3 times until she was satisfied.
Lupe did an amazing job, and lucky for me, I have also found a new hair stylist! Definitely choose Lupe for all your special occasions, and you’ll be a happy camper! Thanks, Lupe!

Lupe was very accommodating! I called her on a Wednesday for special occasion hair + make up that I needed that Sunday… at 8 AM! She was quick to call me back and agreed to get me taken care of. I really appreciated the fact that she was able to be so flexible and see me for such a last minute request.
During the hair and make up, Lupe did a great job listening to what I wanted, while providing me with recommendations. For example, I needed the hair and make up done for a photo shoot later that day, and Lupe gave a recommendation on the eye shadow that would enhance my eyes for the photo shoot. The hair and make up package also included individual eye lashes, which I had never gotten before, and they looked great! There was one part of my eyelashes that were a bit stubborn, so Lupe had to try a few times, and I appreciated that extra effort to make sure I looked just right.
For my hair, she did a side updo and it lasted the whole shoot. We started at 8 AM and I was done around 5:30 PM and it still looked great. Thanks, Lupe!

Wow! I can’t believe Lupe doesn’t have more reviews here. I just got my first cut from her and it is the best haircut I’ve ever had. Hands down. She’s also very personable and easy going. So happy to have found Lupe!

My quick fix for a broken heart is usually a visit to the salon. (Am I right, ladies?!) I called Lupe for an appointment the day after I broke up with my boyfriend, and she slotted me in even though it meant staying a bit later than she’d been planning that day.
I showed up all snotty and in tears, my hair an atrocious mop of unkempt madness that hadn’t been cut in months. She transformed my dirty blond frond into a chic, brunette bob. The cut is stylishly asymmetrical, framing my face with a precise, calculated slant. Can’t wait to go back in for a touchup on my bangs! (She trims bangs for free when you see her regularly. Can’t argue with that!)

I have been going to her for the past few months. Lupe is gifted with hair and makeup. She did my makeup on different occasions and my wedding photos came out beautiful! Most recently she did my blonde highlights and they look great.

I have worked with Lupe on several photos shoots and she was a pleasure!
She listened to everything the clients wanted down to the last detail. She also understood what would read well through the camera lens.
I would gladly work with her again seeing her final product and how happy everyone was with their look when she was finished.
