The staff are very friendly and cheerful. They are very fast and accurate at taking the orders and making the drinks. And the environment is very clean and comfortable. It is always pleasant to visit this store. Highly recommend!

I use to go to this Starbucks 3 – 5 times a week until I made a complaint about a barista always making a simple drink wrong. I tried giving this location a chance since service and drinks were always good in the past. Anyways, I was offered a complimentary drink the next day after I made a comment about the drinks and wasting my money because I’d end up throwing my drink away instead of actually drinking the coffee I paid for. The past couple of times I’ve been in I’ve had drinks with a weird after taste in them. I ended up throwing them away as well but it tasted like rinse water(water that cleans the machine before coffee comes out) and the last time I was in tasted like cleaner. Possibly urnex cafiza in my drink?(espresso machine cleaner) It was so bad I had a sore throat and stomach pains the same day I purchased a mocha. Now I have to call in sick to work because who knows what they put in my drinks and hope I haven’t consumed anything poisonous. Stay away from this Starbucks if you ever think about asking to have a drink remade. They’ll do rinse water/cleaner or decaf in your drink from my experience. And I’m not crazy, I do know two Starbucks employees at different locations. 3 years of my money given to this place and this is what I get in return. Thanks Starbucks.

This is my favorite starbucks. When I was in college, I would take the bus here just to study or hang out. I now work close by, so it’s still an incredibly convenient location for me. Tons of seating and space relative to other nearby locations. Including outdoor seating, which my dog loves because that means she gets to come along. Always clean and we’ll maintained. Staff are always impeccably friendly, helpful, and competent. They also always spell my name right, which I think is a cruel joke the El Cerrito Plaza location plays on me. Seriously, Keit??? Who does that!!! The Colusa location would never do that. They would be your friend.

Just learned one of my acquaintances works here at this Starbucks branch on Solano Avenue. I have been meaning to come here for quite sometime to pay a visit because of her. Before heading home, I was feeling quite peckish. I needed some sustenance and I was in the area, so I figured, «Why not?!» So I stopped in. I went up to the barrister on duty to inquire about my friend was working at the café. Guess who came up to me as I dried up trying to say her name! Yeah, I needed sustenance all right. I was so happy she saw me and came to my rescue. I had a $ 5.00 gift card on me to use, so I put it to good use in getting a chocolate croissant and and espresso drink with milk called Flat White. I think I found my new favourite espresso drink here at Starbucks. The staff on duty were pretty cool and chill when I was there. My friend was the only staff female member there while the others were males. They were quite gentlemanly. One of them was good-naturedly teasing my friend a bit. Of course, she was matching him wit for wit. I was able to pay a visit to my friend for a bit before heading home. We caught up with each other lives inside and outside of UC Berkeley. I gave her some UC Berkeley related buttons I had in my purse since she was admiring my pictures of swag on one of my social media sites. I told her that I had extra badges at home she could have too. Now I just have to high-tail my hide/hinny over to this Starbucks when I am able. I remember when this used to be Ortmans Ice Cream Parlour. Back in the days when I used to take ballet lessons, we came here for ice cream after one of my ballet recitals. The employees wore white shirts, white pants, black shoes, snd black bow ties. They wore Whoo hoo! I was sad when Ortmans was no more. The building was unoccupied for a long time. Then Starbucks opened a branch at the old Ortman’s Ice Cream Parlour. I quite like this Starbucks, it was pretty quiet and chill to study, not so noisy like many of the cafes and other places near and at UC Berkeley. I will stop by at this Starbucks again if I am in the area and have time. Cheers and Ciao! Á bientôt!

This particular café is the greatest, it has its own individual character thanks to the guys who work here. They make you feel at home, the coffee is great, it’s a friendly nice space. Every coffee house in the area has its own mystique and prices and coffee, but what makes a good place great are the people who work there. Starbucks should be grateful to have employees who are knowledgeable and patient and friendly and have a great sense of humor. Btw, the way I can tell if someone has a sense of humor is if they think I’m funny. These guys think I’m funny. But seriously, this Starbucks is the best. Thank you, Allen

Coffee is watery and the taste resembles cardboard, trust me I know. Friend convinced me to try frap(more like crap.). Wasted $ 4 on a tiney cup of shugery milk slushy. Is it even legal for them to say it contains coffee? Either way, the inside the café is spacious and seating is abundant. Perfect for studying in public, if you’re into that sort of thing.

I’m not a coffee connoisseur, and I’ve enjoyed the few drinks – coffees and iced coffees – I’ve had here. The cashier kindly explained to me how sweet their vanilla pumps are and how I should adjust them. However, my boyfriend tried to get plain matcha powder in hot water, which is one of our favorite drinks that we’ve ordered at other Starbucks, and later we realized that he had received some ridiculously sweet and creamy drink. We weren’t sure what it was.

I love coming here! I work on the street and usually in a rush on my break and the workers are attentive and fast!!! I love AJ one of the talented baristas he’s creative with drinks and very aware of what flavors work with my beloved coffee and prevents me from ordering too extreme of things too! I’m assuming he’s a highly paid worker because he’s happy and a Starbucks dictionary… If he isn’t one of the highest paid there I hope he will be asap!!! Anyyyyywayyyy…I love iced coffees with peppermint and caramel and AJ helped me invent that))))) The staff is very nice and fast and knowledgable on all Starbucks questions. This particular crew gets along well and it’s a nice environment … I come into chill on my lunch breaks and others come into do school assignment, business meetings, interviews too. ((Love this spot! More than Peets for sure))

It’s a Starbucks one on every corner, nothing special at all. Now the place that lived here before Starbucks was amazing. It was Ortman’s Ice Cream Parlor. They had the most amazing ice cream in the world! Now all that’s left is the clock. I I wish I could bring my kids to Ortman’s who cares about Starbucks???

This Starbucks is located at such a convenient location and it is always kept in outstanding condition. Unlike some other Starbucks I’ve visited, it’s not cramped, messy, or chaotic. Also, I love how they always keep the temperature at a comfortable level. During the winters, the café is warm and cozy, and during the spring and summer, it’s air conditioned. This is extremely important to me, as I do enjoy studying at cafes, and the Starbucks at the El Cerrito Plaza is always so freaking stuffy. Service is quick and great. Baristas are all very friendly. Although this Starbucks is a lot farther from my home than the one at the plaza, I definitely prefer it a hundred times over and would make the extra travel distance.

Nice place to go to get out of downtown Berkeley. The staff is friendly and on a Friday it was packed at around 4PM. :)

This Starbucks, being in Solano, is so much nicer than the ones not too far away in Berkeley. Service is faster, more power outlets around the place for those that want to sit down and get some work done with a laptop, and the place is just cleaner. This location staffs four behind the counter so I’ve never had to ever wait more than 5 minutes for my drink. Parking around the area is not too difficult so that’s a huge plus for those that drive by.

Seems like a good Starbucks to me except parking can be difficult and since you have Pete’s up the street you could do better. But they do have coconut mocha fraps here so I’m fucking addicted.

I love this Starbucks! The staff are especially friendly and make some fantabulous soy lattes. It’s a cute spot and a nice walk up Solano with plenty to do after my caffeinated fix. It’s super clean and has a great selection of retail. The weekday morning crew is especially friendly and offer up stickers and friendly smiles to my some… BIGDOUBLETHUMBSUP! BUT do know the parking is strictly enforced. I found out the hard way with a $ 43 ticket. DAMNIT!

Today is the very last opportunity to get Frapps for half off: 3−5PM only! here’s hoping for no queues when I get there… certain to arrive after a sweat-inducing workout, to set it all back to equilibrium!

Grande| Soy| No-Water| Chai Please… At this Starbucks I don’t even have to say my order because they start making it for me by the time I pay. My all-time favorite Starbucks! It is on my way to work so I frequent the place habitually! All the baristas are super sweet, friendly and reserved! I have not met one that I do not adore! The only thing I hate is the annoying sponger at front of the café that is very demanding and aggressive. Everyone who goes there knows who am talking about. He probably has become a millionaire for the years of his mooching. Aside from that, this Starbucks is different than any others because I feel like it should be called«Cheers».‘since everybody knows your name!’

This is an OK Starbucks and really only come here when the Peets(less than a block away) doesn’t have the right sweet roll to go with my coffee or their line is too long. This Starbucks was also the place that I picked up my stepdaughter after school and friends. This Starbucks is also the site of the former Ortman’s Ice Cream Shop. Bill Ortman operated his ice cream shop and plant for 49 years before shutting down(probably due to high rent). The only thing left is the old clock on the building. For awhile, the old Berkeley Bakery sold Ortman’s ice cream, but that business too is long gone. Ortman’s was a fun family place and had really good ice cream. I fondly remember taking my 2 stepdaughters here. My son and I are also fans of the Chocolate Shower flavour, which we can now find at Loard’s or at Fenton’s(under a different name).
