The phở here is pretty good — but nothing exceptional. The broth doesn’t have much flavor, so you have to add your own. However? The prices are decent, and the portion sizes are reasonable, as well.

Big fan of their Vietnamese coffee and pretty much any of their phở dishes. Prices are decent and the serving size is large. The broth is delicious!

This is my boyfriend and I’s favorite phở place of all time. Ever. Like seriously we’ve tried almost every phở restaurant in Berkeley, as well as quite a few down in Monterey and LA, but Phở K&K is our #1! Their broth is always super flavorful without being overly salty, and they don’t skimp on the noodles or toppings. Service is great and although it can definitely get crowded, they expanded the dining area with more tables, and the servers are always quick and attentive. Since it’s on Telegraph though, parking is the biggest struggle :(so try to find a spot a block over, or walk if you can!

Go-to hangover place. The phở’s not bad, but It doesn’t have that much flavor and tastes kind of bland. I always mix the sriracha and oyster sauce and eat it with the phở which is pretty good. There’s a lot of seating in the restaurant and service is fine, overall not a bad place to grab some hangover phở.

Wow! We had beef and chicken phở plus a fried rice dish I can’t remember what it was called. Everything was cooked to perfection! Everything was so tasty and great! My hubby had never eaten Vietnamese food before and he’s now a fan! The service is great. The restaurant was clean and sanitary and we wanted for nothing. They were on top of it. Food came out pretty quick too. This is a little Gem for sure. We will go back when we are in the area for sure!

I have never been a fan of phở; it’s one of the foods I avoid at all costs. I’ve been here twice, and I came here the first time because my friend was really craving phở, and since they offer other dishes, I was okay with the choice. I ordered the lemongrass beef and was slightly disappointed. The lemongrass flavor was pretty faint and the meat was slightly tough. The meat was also sautéed with green bell peppers and onions, but their flavors didn’t fully blossom either. I must say that the service here is great! My friend is a frequent customer but hasn’t been there in awhile, and he still remembered her name and was super friendly and accommodating. For my second time, it was a rainy day and my friend was craving phở, and this time I decided to be spontaneous and try their phở even though I usually don’t like phở. We ordered to go and I was pleasantly surprised with the phở. I got the raw beef phở, and the meat was tender. They separate the noodles and soup so that the noodles don’t get soggy. The broth was super flavorful, but I have to admit that it tasted like there was a little MSG in it just because I got super thirsty afterwards. Nevertheless, I was impressed by the phở, and will definitely come back, especially on cold and rainy days.

This is our go-to place to get phở. It’s cheap and cheerful, with most phở costing just $ 7.50. I generally get the vegetarian phở chay, and my boyfriend gets the phở with rare beef. Both broths have great flavor, and the noodles are the perfect texture. I’ve ordered their hot tea($ 3.50 a pot, I believe) and it was luke warm, lacking flavor, and had lots of tea leaves floating around. They’re always busy, but we never seem to have trouble finding a table for 2. Overall, the price/quality is excellent, and I would highly recommend it for phở.

I strolled into this establishment after an evening of last minute Christmas shopping. Hoping to eat a simple bowl of Chicken Phō I was served a bowl of chicken hell nō! I also ordered a «papaya salad» that was just as bland and flavorless as the chicken Phō broth. The shredded chicken was tough and tasteless. If you are a solo diner, the host will bring you a very meager portion of phō fixens(sprouts, basil, jalapeño). These fixens do no good anyway. The Tea was some how room temperature. Geeeeeeez!!! To top off this sad excuse for a meal, the host went on to rudely replenish the silverware rack at my table while I ate. How this place gets a best Phō rating I have no idea. I strongly advise curious eaters in the area to steer clear of this shite hole. On the brighter side, the restroom was very clean. Thank you happy holidays.

I’ve been here 5 times. First 3 times was lousy. Phở and rice plates lacked taste. Recently went twice for Phở. Broth had pretty good flavor. It could have been more robust. The brisket was soft, came apart nicely, and some pieces were lined with sinful fat. Just right. Fried spring rolls were rolled tight, tasted good, and came out hot from the fryer. They expanded to the space next door. They were packed with CAL students, mostly Asian kids. Only 2 servers for about 30 tables, but they did an amazing job. Good food, lively atmosphere, good portions.

I came here on a Wednesday night around 8:00pm with a group of friends(party of 6). Phở K & K expanded the size of their restaurant since the last time I came here. They now have two rooms for seating. Despite the expansion, there was still a line at the door for open tables. After about five minutes, we were seated. It took awhile longer for the waiter to finally be able to take our orders because the place was just too busy. Overall, I felt like the food was okay. I ordered #29. The presentation of the dish was not the most appealing. Portions are also pretty small compared to the quality and price of the dish. They also charged extra for hot tea, which I thought was unfair. Usually, tea is not extra charge at other Vietnamese restaurants. I feel like Phở K & K could use one or two more workers.

Pretty standard phở place! I always come here because it’s a great way to get some delicious phở at a cheap price. I usually come and get some sort of phở and maybe the shrimp spring rolls as well. Not too special about this place, but overall good quality and service.

Would argue this is the best place to get phở in Berkeley. I always get the rare beef steak phở and the meat is rare when you get it versus other places where it’s cooked by the soup and gets well done before you get it(for anyone who can appreciate rare meat this is a big deal :3) They added a new section to the restaurant(my girlfriend and I thought it was a mirror at first) and they gave us complimentary Thai Ice teas as part of their grand reopening ^_^ Pros: –spacious as ever –phở isn’t too greasy, vegetables are clean, meat is cooked to order –bathrooms inside –food is on the cheaper side –free drinks(as part of their renovation; dnt know how long it will last) Cons: –kinda out there(down telegraph) especially for people living on west or north side

Had lunch here a few weeks ago. Not too bad. I got that traditional thin noodle dish with eggrolls and shrimp(i think #23). The shrimp were pretty good — 3 of them grilled on a skewer. The noodles were good, but were lacking some flavor. The chicken eggrolls were pretty tasty, non-traditional. My friend got the Phở, and he seemed to like it but not love it. I’d come here again, but if I found a better place, I’d probably go there instead. It was a little far from campus, maybe a 15 – 20 minute walk.

Phở k & k is better than many phở places in the east bay, although it’s still not super amazing. I usually get the beef combo. It’s a decent price and a really big portion. The broth is good too! We’ve had the spring rolls and egg rolls before. They were just okay but thankfully the phở itself is a big enough portion to fill you up.

Two words to sum up Phở K&K = GOODENOUGH. The location is prime, the restaurant is clean, and the service is fast. When I’m too lazy to drive all the way to Monster Phở in Oakland, the-walking-distance Phở K&K has yet to let me down. I usually get the #12, the Rare Steak & Meatball Phở, which I find to be a rare-ity(heh…). A lot of phở places only offer meatball phở with nothing else, or they make you order a side of meatballs on top of some other combination phở. Big ups to them! The phở I ordered just the other day could’ve used more meat, but there were enough noodles to make up for it. Overall, I’d come back if I’m craving phở, but I wouldn’t eagerly recommend to a friend.

Been here a few times for normal phở and chicken phở. Not bad! Prefer Oriental Restaurant for normal phở but it’s so far away. Phở KK is close to campus and nearly as good! They give a lot of noodles and meat too because I can never finish mine. The broth is not bad, good amount of noodles and you can always ask for your bean sprouts cooked! When I’m feeling a bit sick, I go with chicken phở because of the chicken broth, BUT there’s not much variety to it. It’s literally broth, noodles and chicken unlike normal phở where you get a variety of meat. Overall, try this place out, not shabby for being one of 2 phở places in berkeley!

For those concerned about oil/salt, definitely get the chicken dumpling soup! You can add noodles, too — which I HIGHLY recommend, especially if you love carbs as I do. The people here are super nice. We called ahead to see if they have a tv to watch the game and it turned out they were fans too! By the fourth quarter, the whole restaurant was cheering at the tv — the staff really made you feel at home

I don’t know much about authentic Phở, but I know that the vegetarian phở here is really good! It tastes so healthy and light but still fills me. It’s filled with vegetables and the broth is really good. I have tried some of the desserts here before, and the fried banana eggroll with ice cream was amazing, but the bean/jelly dessert wasn’t as good, there was too much ice in it.

Friendly service, clean interior, fairly priced entrees and a convenient location. Two in our party enjoyed phở and one had the seafood clay pot lunch. I cannot say the beef in my phở combination bowl was memorable but the shrimp and shrimp meatballs made up for that nicely. The sprouts and basil accompanying the dish was ultra fresh! The basil looked like it was fresh picked and tasted so good that it practically stole the show.

Phở K&K is good, hearty Vietnamese food in a very convenient location for students. Lately I’ve been coming here at least once a week and I never have negative experiences. It may not be a life-changing bowl of phở, but it is a solid good bowl of phở! I usually order #8, the large combo phở with everything in it. The flavor of the broth is good, and the portion of meat and noodles are fine. The chicken wings are a great appetizer, along with any of the rolls. The service here is really fast and friendly. Phở K&K has definitely become a go-to spot for me(it’s only a block away from where I live!). Not many complaints here!
