McCourt’s Musical Instruments

This place is decent, and gets all the referrals from the local schools, but the particular violin instructor that we used was a bit unprofessional. In speaking with her and her supposed years of experience, I could see that she was used to talking herself up to appear more seasoned than she was. My daughter could play at the same level and felt that the instructor was impatient and could possibly guide very beginning students, but that was about it.

Incompetent and deceptive staff. Will not return.
I called on Saturday and asked them about a particular guitar service. The person who answered said they provided the service, buy were closing in 20 minutes. I asked when they opening the following day and he said Noon. I thanked him and told him I’d be in the next day to have the service. When I got there a woman said there was no one available to perform the service. When I said that I called ahead and told the guy I’d be in today, she tried to get rid of me by saying she was the only one working yesterday so it could not have been their store, and suggested that I might have called the music store down the street. I believed her so I apologized and walked to the store down the street. When I got there it was closed. I checked my phone to make sure I wasn’t crazy, and it indicated I called McCourts. I walked back in and showed her that it was indeed her store that I called. She then said, «Oh that must have been _​_​_​_​_​_​_​. Sorry about that» .
Thanks for wasting an hour of my time and lying to me on top of it. Will never return, not because someone screwed up, but because of the customer service. That sort of treatment of customers is inexcusable in my view.

Good people, solid establishment but the parking can be a real issue!

The Music Stand is a helpful little music store. Ample parking in the back, lessons available on-​site, lots of sheet music and accessories for the taking.
