Delicious! I love the plain vanilla ones & the Dirt ones, vanilla covered in Oreo crumbs and real buttercream icing! Moist! Always fresh and a reasonable price. Big cupcakes! Lots of wonderful varieties like Honeybee, Coconut, Red Velvet, etc. Gracious service! Yummy, thick Whoopie Pies too! A lot of cupcakes are hype, this place is the real deal! Bravo!

My wife and I am wandered into this establishment about a week ago(Halloween day to be exact), as we happened upon Berlin and we’re just walking along the main street. We picked up a couple of cupcakes, and then one across the street and got a coffee to enjoy them with. In interacting with the owner, at least I believe the lady that was working there was the owner, she was incredibly friendly and told us a little bit about the area. The cupcake some cells were quite good, we enjoyed both of them — having had two different kinds. Highly recommended!!!

Delicious and beautiful cupcakes! Definitely a place to stop while exploring Berlin. The almond cake with honey cream cheese icing was delightful. The cake was slightly dry, but the somehow rich but light icing made up for it. The delicate flavors would make a perfect combination for a wedding cake that is traditional enough to please everyone and unique enough to stand out. There were probably at least 20 different kinds of cupcakes to choose from that were beautifully decorated. I wanted to try them all!

Looks better than they taste. The cake part is very dense not fluffy like I would have expected. Served cold and icing is good but the not the cake part of the cupcake.

Eat more cake! That’s SOO easy to do at Cupcakes in Bloom. We were on a family camping trip near Ocean City. A shop owner told us about Berlin, MD. We all loved Berlin! Our last stop was Cupcakes in Bloom. The cupcakes were ALMOST too beautiful to eat. Many flavors to choose from. My favorite was key lime. My son loved the caramel corn. We bought 12 for 8 of us, but they were so good we got 6 more! Best cupcakes we’ve ever had and not too expensive.

My wife and I took a ride to Berlin, Maryland after reading the reviews on Unilocal to see for ourselves what all the excitement was about. We bought twelve assorted cupcakes that we thought we like and took them home and tried them that same day. I can only tell you that we should have purchased twelve more because they did not make it through the rest of the day. I cannot really describe to you in words how delicious they all were. The cake was moist and the frosting was the perfect amount for each cupcake and the frosting was just flavored perfectly. For those who have read my other reviews I am painfully honest when writing a review. Please make a special trip to this bakery. I for one will be back soon!

Stopped by on drive from Virginia to ny and stopped by this place owing to reviews. Small unassuming atore but boy did it exceed expectations. The cupcakes are little works of art, some with edible glitter and sticking to the theme of the cupcake. Had the hummingbird and the coconut cupcake, yummy!

Was in Berlin and figured Id check the place out, I love cupcakes and so does my family. The line was long but it went fast. Got 3 cupcakes, Chocolate Chocolate, Creamsicle and Lemon. I only had the Creamsicle and gave the two others to family members. Mine was very good and my family said theirs was very good as well. They were not dry at all! Perfectly moist and very good! And very reasonably priced at $ 2.50 each. I hope to return!

I want to start this review by saying whomever they went against in cupcake wars must have been like Crumbs or Magnolia Bakery for them to come in SECOND??? I’ve been to quite a few cupcake shops who hang the mighty tank o’ cupcake wars in their windows. Well Cupcakes in Bloom is the only cupcake shop that can live up to the glory in my humble opinion! Last year another cupcake shop was in this location and the Spring Celebration held the cupcake contest a little differently so I wasn’t really interested in even stopping in. Well thank god for the nice young chap standing outside with the tastiest carrot cake cupcake I’ve had in a long time. It was moist and had the perfect crumb. I hate when cupcakes are dense. These are the kinda cupcakes you could eat two or three of and not feel sick. So, I’m literally licking my fingers, digging my finger in the cream cheese frosting which is a lovely shade of peach, and my mother comes and goes ‚“What are you eating?”. The boy had already run out of samples so he ran in. My mother isn’t much of a cake eater so she must have been craving something sweet. We went in and got in line. Once inside we saw the gorgeous cupcake bouquets they custom make! Super cute for weddings, showers, and even kids! The one that tickled us the most was the john deere/camo one! While in line the nice young boy was walking out with a tray chock full of samples. He was sweet and let us all in line try them! So, my mother tried the coconut. She really only likes coconut or carrot cake if they are good. She said it was so light and fresh. She generally will not eat frosting, but remarked it was perfect not cloyingly sweet at all. I had the red velvet which was true real red velvet. I hate when red velvet is red colored chocolate cake lacking depth of flavor! This was delicious. It had the tang of buttermilk along with the slight tang of the cream cheese icing to really create a delicious balance. So as we get closer to the display case I am taking out my phone to take pictures of these beauties! Cupcakes that look like zinnias, daisies, birds nests, sheep and other gorgeous creative cupcakes!!! Well Mama wants a coconut of course and it is ridiculously cute. It’s been created to look like a sheep with flaked coconut. I was set to have red velvet or carrot, but then I saw Hummingbird cake. I’ve never had it so I inquired… the nice gal behind the counter told me it’s like banana cake with nuts… SOLD! Mine looked like a pansy! I was all set just to get two, but upon checking out I had to get a red velvet for home! Three cupcakes for 7 bucks! Three cupcakes in Philadelphia could easily be 15 bucks! You also have the conundrum of gorgeous cupcakes tasting not so gorgeous or great tasting cupcakes looking sort of sad! I’m not sure if we would get in the car and drive 4 hours, but we will definitely be back when we are in the area! I would even be so bold to say that if a very good friend was having a party or a special occasion I might order a pretty bouquet of these delicious babies! Oh my gosh and I almost forgot to mention they have about 3 or 4 gluten free varieties too!!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Shawnee this weekend for a cupcake tasting. She was so nice and personable, and knew her stuff! After giving my fiancé and I a huge plate of cupcakes to try, she let us dig in without hovering over us. Her flavors are a lot of fun and really tasty. She was receptive to our ideas and had great ways to enhance our vision for our wedding cake. The pricing is incredibly reasonable and she was very accomidating. I can not wait for the wedding, our guest are in for a treat! In addition to the cupcakes she makes these insane chocolate chip cookies that I’ll be thinking about for a loooong time. If you need sweets for any event this is your place!
