We had a great meal with excellent service by friendly and attentive Linda. Oyster stew was a little different but super creamy and well flavored. The smoked salmon BLT was something special! The BBQ were also awesome. The oyster po boy was tasty fried in a flavorful batter. Chips were very crisp and hot. Too bad we don’t live here because there were at least five more things we wanted to try. FYI Upstairs on music night was too loud to have s conversation.

Leaky Pete’s Oyster Bar and Chophouse Leaky Pete’s is a welcome addition to the burgeoning food scene in Berlin. The menu has a variety of land and sea items, and the Oyster bar upstairs is the only place you can get freshly Shucked Oysters everyday in the town. On Wednesday & select weekend nights live music«Up in da’ Oyster bar!» is a nice supplement to Geezer PLeezer approach of the hotel and the«Too cool for school» attitude at the Brew Pub. I have seen a few different acts, they tend to be singer song writer /Americana /Traditional Rock-n– Roll outfits, the space is a good size for music. Last time I ate at Leaky Pete’s I had the Burger which was excellent and I split some wings, also on point, I had a few shucked Oyster’s which were delicious and we split a Crème brûlée, I was drinking Scotch and the Barkeep, she poured ‘em like a sailor would. Look for the live Music events, and plan accordingly, Leaky Pete’s makes the cut.

We outside which was nice. Service was pretty good. Food was ok. I had the beef on weck. Not an authentic beef on weck(if you’re from western Ny you know what I mean), but good for a roast beef sandwich. Kids hot dogs were too big for them to fit their mouths around. Wings were decent. Prices reasonable. Not too bad and I might try it again.

A friend and I are in the area vacationing and decided to stop in because the place looked cute and the menu looked awesome. Upon entering we were immediately greeted and seated. The young man that was our server was very outgoing and helpful. He acted as the bartender, host and our server.(Too much for one person) He educated us about the fresh oysters and handed me a card. We ordered the olive appetizer, salad, soup, fish tacos and bucket of mussels with old bay and butter. We were both pleased until I received the mussels. They were«fishy» to the taste and not cooked correctly and did not come as I ordered with old bay and butter. I got up and asked our server for old bay and added it on my own. Then I came across a short blonde hair in one of the mussels and completely lost my appetite. My friend also lost her appetite. We let our server know who went back and told the«owner». He came out and let us know that the mussels would be comped but never said sorry and his mood towards us changed.(It is not the patron’s fault that a server or cooks hair ended up in the food they are supposed to being enjoying) The owner did not even come out and apologize to us either. We could have made a big scene but remained calm and understanding, as I too work in the restaurant business. Owner needs to address health codes in the kitchen and when there are issues should address them himself in person. What a HUGE let down!

Food was very good price was also very reasonable. My only complaint is the staff needs to be given lessons on customer service and the décor was also sub par for this price point. Let me explain we had four people at 4:45 pm on a Wednesday afternoon. Place was empty we asked for a large booth as my family is a bunch of foodies and we like to taste different things on the menu well we where denied(not allowing us to order multiple appetizers and entrees to try then wrap up and bring home. Big mistake as the bill was much lower due to this mistake) additionally during our entire stay nobody else came in and no more tables where turned! Second, we had to beg our waitress to ask the chef/cooks if they could allow us to order from the main course menu that started in fifteen minutes. Honestly this should have been a no brainier as the main dishes cost three times more than the lunch portion and the sous chef had to be ready since the normal serving times for the main menu was 5pm! Overall we had a good experience but like I said the poor waitstaff and the snobby hostess can not allow me to give this place more than three stars.

This was a nice little place to have lunch while visiting Berlin MD for the day … They do have inside and outside seating and they open the upstairs for happy hour and dinner with live music according to the bartender The service was good The raw oysters were yummy, I tried the chincoteague’s I also tried the house salad with the avocado ranch dressing and I added grilled shrimp … I was disappointed when The salad came out and all I could smell was that the shrimp wasn’t fresh :(… You know that ammonia smell … It was overpowering!!! … Peeeeeee uuuu The waitress told the chef and I was told that they just peeled the shrimp… Doesn’t mean the shrimp is fresh … Fresh seafood is a must! GI upset! haven’t they watched Gordon Ramsey kitchen nightmares??? Good news is they took this shrimp off the bill Also I am a craft beer girl… They only had one of the three beers on their menu that I wanted to try … :(Not so sure why the beer was dry! So I was only able to try one beer … My mom had the mushroom cheese flatbread which was fresh and good So that’s the scoop … Hope it helps!

We ordered oysters, crab dip, firecracker shrimp and orange crushes. The oysters were served with a sauce that ruined the oysters. When our waitress asked how they were we told her horrible, that the sauce was more like a salsa. She looked at it and apologized for putting the wrong sauce on our plate. The oysters did seem fresh the salsa was awful. They made no effort to replace or credit us for the oysters. The crab dip was more cream cheese very little crab and I find it hard to believe that what we were served won awards for the last three years(per their menu). The fire cracker shrimp was bland. The shrimp were good, just more of a fried shrimp. The orange crushes were very good. Service was acceptable, waitress was polite, pleasant. Would not return.

Comfortable, cozy renovations, wide variety of food and attention to detail make this a guaranteed success. The lobster mac and cheese was made with Gruyère, had a TON of HUGE lobster chunks and was then baked in the oven so it was golden brown and crunchy… Just perfection. The burger comes with brisket AND bacon on it, and is just ridiculously good. EVERYTHING was good… Planning to make this a weekly dinner option!

Didn’t even get a chance to eat, but was really looking forward to it. Was told it would be a 20min wait which was no problem, but then a waitress came out and told us they would be not be able to serve us due to reservations and the kitchen being slammed. I would have at least appreciated the chef or manager to tell me that instead of a waitress. Really disappointed!

The owners started their restaurant in Cambridge, and have now brought a version to Berlin! Nice little row house on the North end of Main Street in Berlin. Hostesses a bit young a strange-need some practice with smiling and communication skills. Our waiter was super nice and offered suggestions and great service. They have seating outside, upstairs, and downstairs. Lots of seafood dishes, live guitarist/singer. The best part… it’s in Berlin! No Ocean City crowds! I really hope they do well here.

My wife and I were rambling around Berlin, visiting all the great places(blacksmiths, globe) and we saw this new place, leaky Pete. The location had once been a Mexican food restaurant. The menu looked interesting, so we tried it. We were doing small plates, so we tried calamari, pan fried popcorn, and the spicy olives. All were great, and good values. Leaky Pete is creative food, but not very expensive. And, they have burley oak on tap. Also, they had a live musician, solo acoustic guitar — he had a good voice, and played some Gin Blossoms. We will be back. They are a great addition to the Berlin food scene.
