Cig Palm

Stopped by this little shop in search of a cheaper glass piece, a bowl piece, and some organic American spirits. Walked in to a standard set-​up, nothing special about the products, and the glass selection in the back was just okay. To a novel smoker it may have been kind of cool, but I’ve had experience buying very cheap glass in the wholesale district in LA, so I wandered unimpressed. The prices are terribly high for a low quality, subpar variety. I asked to see the glass and the man was polite at first and let me take the glass out myself (maybe after I had asked about price negotiation, and the fact that I had purchased cheap glass in LA). But the second piece that I took out and considered buying was a small beaker-​bottom with a short down stem and a crack lining the bottom… This pice could break at any second. So I asked if I could purchase the cracked piece for $ 10~$ 12 (originally priced at $ 19.99). He said that he could send it to the wholesaler and get a new one, so I asked again because I was unclear whether he was saying no or was taking it to the front to negotiate a real price. After I asked the second time, he barked at me with his foreign accent and got frustrated in an instant. «I will take it to them and I will get a new one!» He yelled. I backed off and wandered around and back again to let him cool down, then I asked for a bowl piece, and settled for a $ 10 small clear one, that I would usually get for $ 2 in LA. Others such as a half-​ass ninja turtle one were priced at $ 20 and I would get them for $ 4… Do you see the trend here? Finally I asked for Turquoise American spirits, and they had them luckily. They were decently priced so i purchased them too, then I had forgot to ask for one last thing, zippo fluid (also decent price.). He grunted as he grabbed it from right behind him and said «is that it.» In the same hissing tone. «Yes» I replied, remaining polite throughout my visit. Overpaid for a couple things and was on my way! I will never return, unless maybe I am stranded in that shopping center with no cigarettes and couldn’t find anywhere better, but that is far fetched, so, so long!

Way too exspensive for for whats in that store. Charged incorrect price on cigs, charged me a higher price than whats labeled behind him. And glass is marked way high. Dont waste your time. Seriously uou will be glad you didnt

I was in Palm Desert over Memorial Day weekend so I wanted to find a place that would have a good selection. I went on Unilocal and found Cig Palm. They had 4.5 stars overall and many reviews stated the selection was good. I figured that was good enough for me. I’ve been smoking cigars for 10 years and I smoke 1 – 2 sticks a day. I will say the selection is good if you don’t smoke very often and you are open to trying something new. If you are a regular I would say the selection is average at best. Not necessarily a big deal. I ended up buying a Fuente Anejo for $ 15. Actually a pretty good price for the #49 size in California. The problem was it was clearly either well past its prime or was dried out at some point and then re-​humidified. I smoke these all the time and this one was sour. I couldn’t even finish it. If you smoke Anejos you know that is very rare. These are great sticks. I was unaware they have a no return policy. There is a sign that clearly states as much below the cash register. The gentleman that helped me on Sunday was actually very helpful and had a good attitude the whole time when I brought the partially smoked cigar back on Monday. He was simply doing his job by telling me I could not return or exchange the cigar. I agree with no refunds but for a cigar like this one I should have been allowed to exchange it for something of equal or lesser value. The gentleman did say he would mention it to the shops owner. It’s not my shop so I will chalk it up as a loss. I recommend this place in a pinch but NOT for the serious cigar smoker.

Place is pretty pricy when it comes to pretty much everything. They have have a large selection which is why I am giving it 3 stars. Everytime I go in the the guy who works there comes off very cock and hovers over you why you browse. It’s unfortunate the customer service is lacking in a store with a giant selection.

My son recommends the Hollywood e juice honey dew cotton candy. Smells super sweet not as offensive as cigarette smoke. Although I don’t even smoke, it seems like whenever I’m in his car it always manages to find it’s way here. Friendly, helpful, fast service and good prices. He keeps telling me it’s not smoke, it’s just vapors.

This is one of the best smoke shops I have ever seen, they have everything u actually need and they offer the best service u can get. And there I tried a lot of the liquid cigarettes flavors and it was for FREE :-) I love this place.
