I went in on a Friday night and got a pesto pizza & salad to go. The food was excellent! I would especially like to give a shout out to the staff. In a world lacking in true customer service, the young women that were working were outstanding. While I was waiting, I observed them both go above and beyond to deliver friendly, genuine, prompt & helpful service on the phone, at the counter and in the dining area. It was so refreshing to witness! I highly recommend this restaurant for all around greatness.

This place is amazing!!! I really can’t understand why there aren’t lines out the door for this place. Everything is organic and local, even the sodas so be prepared for a bottle of local Rootbeer or Gingerale instead of a Coke or Pepsi but don’t let that scare you away! They have a great variety of options for vegans, vegetarians and carnivores so everyone should be happy. All there food is fresh and local. They have seasonal specials and hand-​made desserts. Definitely check it out!

Vegan cheese FTW! Hillside offers up some delicious pizza. The regular crust and the regular sauce are tasty. You do have the option to choose a specialty sauce or another crust like whole wheat or gluten free. What takes this down from a five star review would be the fact that they were skimping on the topping. I ordered green pepper and there was hardly any on it. I ordered extra sauce but it really wasn’t enough.

A friendly and excellent Pizza House just off of I-​91. I believe this to be the final exit of Massachusetts if your heading north bound.
The pizza was an excellent thin crust cheese/​sauce with sliced turkey sausage & spinach. So tasty and a large was more than enough for 3 people!!!
The waitress was cute and very attentive as well as friendly.
Hillside did have other items on their menu so check them out online!
Note! They also have a Hillside Pizza House in South Deerfield, Mass. as well!!!
We’ll be back!!!

Brattleboro, VT
Hillside Pizza is our go-​to place for really good pizza in the Brattleboro area. Sadly, it is about 12 miles south, in the building that used to be Streeter’s general store in Bernardston.
But if you happen to be in or near Bernardston, I highly recommend the pizza. They have an excellent selection of toppings, the ingredients are organic, the crusts are excellent, and they are not stingy with their toppings. They have several different sauce options, but we usually just get the regular tomato sauce, which is really yummy.
Today we had a 16″ pie with Kalamata olives, broccoli and tomatoes on a whole wheat crust (an option for $ 1 extra). It really hit the spot.
I wish these guys would open up a store in Brattleboro.
