This club opened a couple of years ago and is a great addition to the Berwyn community. The interior is exposed brick and beams. The seating on the main floor is very limited so plan on standing if you are attending a concert. They offer VIP seating in the balcony but I’m glad we didn’t purchase it. From what I could tell it didn’t seem worth the extra $ 20.00. The beer selection is pretty good with several locale craft beers on the menu. The sound quality for our show was excellent. We will definitely return to hear more from our favorite musicians. Ticket price are very affordable. Parking can be an issue but other than that great small music venue.

THISISNOTABOUTTHEBAND, BUTABOUTTHEVENUE!!! My husband and I had tickets to the 10pm show on Friday May 6th. I usually purchase VIP tickets for most shows that I attend as I enjoy the less crowded space. Friday was no exception… Once we arrived to the VIPAREAOFWIRE… We saw THATEVERYTABLEINTHEFRONTWERE«RESERVED» for special guests and indicated that by signs with the names on them. We were there early enough to secure seats as the VIP area was virtually empty. If we sat in the back there were no tables which to see the band. The whole thing is was a complete SCAM as I paid $ 30 extra for these seats 2 ½ times the normal GA price of $ 20. We just went down to the GA area and enjoyed the show… We paid $ 100 when $ 40 would have been just as good… I’ll never go here or encourage a anyone else to go here… I’ll just stick with Martyrs…

This venue has horrible acoustics! It is loud, overcrowded and uncomfortable. We just went to hear a fabulous band that was playing there and had to leave sadly because the sound quality, and the fact that people were literally elbow to elbow made it hard to move or dance. I would warn others that this is a disappointing place to see a group. Don’t go!!!

Wow! What a nice intimate venue to see a show! And it’s in Berwyn, of all places! What is an old hollowed out shell of a business, comes to life with original brick walls, an open ceiling where you can see the support trusses, and nothing in the way of you seeing your band on the wide stage. The bartenders are friendly and quick, and they even put a «beer cart» adjunct to the main floor so you are always just steps away from your next drink. The bathrooms are clean, and while there is often a line for the women’s room, that line moves along at a fast pace. When you order your tickets on line, don’t waste time having them mail them to you. The so called«will call» is a guy at the door with a list that has your name on it. Check in with your friends as he will ask to see who you have bought tickets for, and then you are in. Very speedy and very easy! If you drive, there is parking on Roosevelt within a couple of blocks or on Euclid on the north side of Roosevelt which is just a couple of blocks to the east. Watch parking on the other side streets as it is reserved for residents. All in all a great way to see your favorite show. Good sound, good lighting, good drinks and really good people who work there!

Excellent venue. We saw Jon Cleary at Wire. Staff is friendly. Acoustics are good and it wasn’t so packed that you couldn’t move. Clean restrooms. We paid for VIP, it was worth the up charge. We got seats in the balcony area and had a table and attentive server.

Eh. Saw Jon Cleary there. He is fantastic, but the venue blew it. The décor is great, but the bar isn’t very accessible and the drinks are pretty expensive for a suburb. 25 bucks for 3 modelo and a dirty martini. Yeah, I know Berwyn, «it’s not a suburb», trust me, it is every bit a suburb. Also, we bought VIP tickets hoping it would be on par with SPACE or Thalia Hall. No dice. The VIP section was upstairs with limited seating and no bar. Hardly a VIP and not worth the extra cash. Also, of the two openers, only one, Nicholas Barron, fit well with Cleary. The other band seemed out of place there. There are plenty of Chicagoland bands that could have contributed to the bill, Four star Brass band, low down brass band, and furious frank to name a few. We did have a great time, but that was solely due to Jon Cleary. I would go back, but only if I had to.

Nice roomy venue. Street parking can be tricky in the area and the ladies room has an odd traffic flow, but clean. Standing venue, good sound. Balcony VIP seating available.

Great small venue with some good local bands. Went here the other night and had a great time. The only thing they need to work on is that they need more bartenders! Getting a drink was a project and did cause us to leave early and go down the street to another venue with music and drinks. I’ll be back to try again, as I have only been this once. I did like the music and the crowd.

Saw Lateralus there last night 8-22-2015. First time being there ever and I’ll be back. I love this space. The sound is fantastic, and employees are relatively pleasant for a venue like this. –1 for the $ 10 cover. But I understand they have to pay for the sound system somehow. :)

I have been a fan since opening but I do have one complaint. When there having bands that cater to the over 60⁄70 y/o crowd’s I really think it would be a good idea to have more then 4 tables and a hand-full of chairs. I was at the last Tributosaurus CSN&Y show that really kicked some ass, but was really amused to see many first timers in shock when they walked in and discovered that there was zero seating. Just a thought Wire why not just charge a few extra bux and have seating for all? I’m sure it would also boost liquor sales as well as tips for the wait staff and make everyone a happy camper. Otherwise still a huge fan ;-)

What a cool place! We came here to see a band on a Saturday and had a blast. The place is large, open, with a decent amount of tables for sitting. Nice exposed brick, music memorabilia and cool lighting effects. The sound system there is killer. I think I left with a little less hearing than I came in with. Awesome beer list with drafts and bottles. There were a few bartenders who were less friendly and tended to skip over us while we waited at the bar(the reason for one star off), but the female bartender was super talkative and helpful with beer selections. Bathrooms were small, but clean. They really made the most out of a small space and wedged in an extra stall that probably wouldn’t have been there originally, which was helpful for crowd control. I’m definitely going to keep an eye out on their upcoming events so I can come back here again soon! Highly recommend this place.

Easy commute like 12 minutes from downtown via car, or a quick walk from the Blue Line. Met up with a few friends to see Chicago Funk Mafia at Wire on Roosevelt road, what an amazing place! The band was great and the sound was perfect inside Wire. They have an interesting concept that allows not only enjoying music performances but recording, and music studios for lessons. Nice, very nice!

Wow! This place is fantastic! I have been three times and love the space, drink offerings, and lighting. The exposed brick and creative lighting are stunning. Even when you drive up, there is a pink/purple lighting on the signage that is really fun from the exterior. I am always impressed when a business actually pays attention to the drinks they offer. I did not notice any cocktail offerings, although I may not have had the correct menu. However, the beer list is impressive-local options(Revolution on tap and in bottles), many different types of beer, beers that are unique and harder to find. Plus, the list of beers offered is lengthy. Pretty cool. On each visit, we had delightful servers, who actually cared about our drinks and experience. I was very surprised that different servers on two occasions wanted to know what my husband thought about the beer he ordered because both female servers were really interested in beer. This is a rare situation, when a server actually asks your opinion about the beer and wants to hear your real impression of the beer. Whoever does the hiring or training of the wait staff is really skilled, as both of these servers were exceptional. We saw the show for Tributosaurus the day before Thanksgiving, and it was fantastic. This band is terrific, adding strings, adding other instruments as needed throughout the performance. Really, really talented and inventive, even though they were doing a cover show. I liked the creativity and the enthusiasm they had for performing and for their material. Pretty awesome. This is a great, great space, and I am thrilled Wire is in the area!

I’ve got friends who for years have been checking out local or touring live music bands and it just never appealed to me. Walked into this place last night and by the time we walked out we were planning our return. Know nothing about the bands that played, but they were all listenable. The venue was the star, great service at the Bar, wait staff equally attentive, great selection of libations and solid beer offerings. Even met Chris Neville who owns and performs there and it was though we’d known each other for years. Very personable, warm and genuine, this is definitely a place my wife and I will check out to close down an evening or even to make one.

Wonderful little club right on Roosevelt in Berwyn. Cannot miss the neon blue lights that light up the brick building. Parking can be an issue if you don’t know where to park in that area. Inside is beautiful and a perfect place to hold a private party! Nice bar inside and great service.

Okay, wait. .. Berwyn?! Berwyn. This place is brand new, and gorgeous! Well laid out, nice interior. Front windows all open to the street, bathrooms are clean. The stage is GIANT, and held a 10 piece band the night I was there with my favorite rock star. The sound. .. I’m not sure it was the sound guy or the venue, but I need to HEAR the horns, mmkay? I’m hesitant to blame this on the venue though, and am not taking off points for this. Spacious. The joint was packed, and it didn’t feel claustrophobic. Nor did it feel cavernous and impersonal. The staff is great, and they have cider. But. .. Berwyn, really? A cool place in Berwyn? The blue lights illuminating the façade of the building are COOL. All in all, a really great place, well thought out, well done. I look forward to seeing more music here. Berwyn. I KNOW, right?

My new favorite music venue! I was there on opening night and Tributosaurus rocked the house(as usual!)! Wire will be their new«home-away-from-Martyrs’.» Wire is actually so much more than just a concert venue. It’s a facility designed by musicians, for musicians. It’s a place to record, perform, as well as hold classes. Naturally the acoustics are top-notch; I’d expect nothing less. It’s a pretty open space, but with popular shows, it will likely be crowded. There’s a full-service bar, serving plenty of beer, wine and liquor, so you can get your drink on before, during, and after a show. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was able to get here from the city, so don’t let the fact that it’s in Berwyn deter you from seeing a fantastic show. Parking is hit or miss in this area; since I’m a city-dweller, I am not at all averse to walking a few blocks, but if you’re one of those people that won’t walk a couple blocks(shame on you), they’ll offer valet parking for more popular shows. Since my favorite band will be making this a regular spot to perform, I reckon I’ll be spending a lot of evenings here. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - *Booya!
