Good for being an AYCE crabs/shrimp/friend chicken, etc but the shrimp was too salty. Service wasn’t bad but had to keep telling them to steam my shrimp without old bay.

Came here with family upon recommendation from other visitors to the area. We ordered the crab cake burger, salad, cream of crab soup, regular burger, calamari, and flounder sandwich. Everything came out fairly quickly. They had run out of mussels; according to the waitress the manager neglected to leave a note to tell the other servers that they were out. Regardless, the food was all very tasty and the waitress was quite friendly. Some people came back later to buy bags and bags of the little blue crabs to disassemble at home, and reported it to be delicious and decent portions for the price.

Great small spot in Bethany. Excellent soft crab sandwich, large, crispy and served with homemade chips. delicious! Mussels were good as well sauteed in tomatoes. Service was little spotty with foreigners that didnt understand many menu questions. Overall nice place.

If this is one of the better places in Bethany Beach it’s gonna be a difficult week. Maybe I should go home now. Fresh ingredients. Nothing else to brag about. Large salad small portion of food.

We all got the king crab legs and it was just silence for a half hour as we focused on prying every bit of delicate crab meat from every cranny of the delicious crustacean. Good kids menu too. It has a good location, not in the center of the boardwalk so parking is a bit easier.

I really wanted to like it but they make it hard. We had the cream of crab soup, supposedly voted best soup in Delaware(voted by who? Well, that’s unclear). All three of us thought it was bad. When a person wants cream of crab soup they want 2 things: cream and crab. For some reason The Blue Crab thought it would be a good idea to fill the soup with crunchy celery and carrots and other unknown items. This destroyed the soup.(The cream itself was good, if you’re reading this Blue Crab, the easy fix is to just do cream and crab). Moving on to the main course, our«jumbo lump crab cakes with no filler». I put quotes around it because I am directly quoting the menu, but I’m also putting quotes around it because it’s the customary thing to do in our society when being snarky or sarcastic. The crab cakes were filled with shredded claw meat, NOT jumbo lump crab meat. Lastly, a dinner place should offer other legit potato options other than fries. Baked potato or mashed potatoes would be nice. They do offer potato salad, but that’s a snack/lunch food… Not dinner fare. If they make their corrections I’d be happy to correct my review and add stars.

It will take your waitress/waiter a couple of minutes to realize that you have sat down. And I’m talking about 5 – 7 minutes. The 60 second meet and greet window is out the door. But once they do come, you must get all you can eat crabs. The chicken is amazing! It is definitely worth your money! My family and I go every summer at least 4 times.

Called to order take-out dinner for 15 – fried chicken, crab legs, apps, sides… the works. The amount of food we received was laughable and the quality was horrible. Don’t waste your money here.

The steam mussels are just perfect. The cream of carb is delicious. The feasts are incredible. And the margaritas so tasty.

I went to Blue Crab with some girlfriends on 7÷24÷15. This is a somewhat difficult review for me to write because I think the food was a solid 3 stars but the service was 2 stars. Before I even get into the service aspect of our dining experience I need to talk about the«false advertising». The friends I was dining with had some very specific diets and when we looked at the menus outside the restaurant we were thrilled to see that Blue Crab could accommodate all of us. However when we got into the restaurant we found that the menu on the table was nothing like the menu(s) in the window. Since, it was way past the time we had planned to eat dinner we decided to give Blue Crab«a go» anyway. The service was disappointing. Our waitress forgot to bring my friend her beer and she had to ask for it twice. She also forgot to include the side of hush puppies she ordered when the main order arrived. The biggest«ding» to this restaurant is the time it took between when we asked for the check and when someone came by to pick it up. It took almost 30 minutes for a waitress(who by the way was not our original server, we had to flag down someone else) to pick up the check. I could have been more understanding if the restaurant was busy. However by the time we were ready to pay and leave I counted 6 people in the restaurant. In a nutshell, if Blue Crab can work out it server issues I would consider going back because I thought the price point and portions at this restaurant were fair but until this happens I don’t think I will be going back.

The food and cocktails were delicious. The service was so-so, but when brought to the servers attention, she was most gracious about it and made it right.

Great food! Definitely would be back. Service can be a little lost at times … But it’s season and they were super busy. But crab cakes were awesome.

Always good crabs. I had filet and it was pretty good. Great crushed drink. Good service. A little loud inside but they are always busy!

Three things: 1. Excellent seafood at a reasonable price. 2. Their seafood feasts are the bomb, but don’t overlook their regular menu. Their daily fish specials and crab cakes would be considered excellent in any city. 3. It is easily the best restaurant within walking distance of downtown Bethany. They have attentive service, fresh, local in-season produce and an unpretentious atmosphere. PS — If you think eating blue crabs with a hammer is cool, then someone should hit you with a hammer in the back of your douchebag head. YouTube how to eat a crab for the love of god.

Delicious! Stopped here during lunch because my aunt and I were craving crab cakes. I’ve had quite a few in my travels, and these were great — large chunks of crab and hardly any«filler» stuffing. I had mine fried and she had hers broiled. Both were perfect and there wasn’t too much breading on my fried version. Just a nice, crispy finish. We ordered the crab sandwich which was served with homemade chips. I’m not a huge fan of homemade chips, but if it’s your thing, then they were pretty good and for the lunchtime price of just under $ 15, it was a great deal compared to some of the other places I saw in the area. The dinner prices did look a bit higher though, so not sure how those compare. A little small inside, but overall, a good little spot in Bethany Beach.

Food wasn’t that great at all. Their crab soup had no crab in it, and all their foods that we ordered were pretty dry. I didn’t give them one star because they at least managed to not fuck up the cup of iced water.

As good as it gets for all you eat food at the beach. Blue Crab also has a regular menu, but their all you can eat choices are fantastic. We went for the biggest which includes crabs, shrimp, corn on the cob, fried chicken, hush puppies and homemade potato chips. First, the wait staff is mostly eastern European and they are all extremely polite and eager to please. We were well looked after with very attentive service. The homemade chips come with a horseradish-flavored dipping sauce and are excellent. The fried chicken is as good as you will find on the Eastern Shore. The corn was very good even though it’s too early to get local corn, it tasteed great. The crabs were about what you’d expect — they were OK sized, but spiced well, served hot and were mostly heavy for their size. The shrimp were plentiful and well-spiced. Anytime we needed refills on anything it was promptly delivered. I suggest getting there early as the restaurant does get crowded. We arrived at 5:00PM and were immediately seated. When we left the tables were pretty much all filled. The all you can eats are not for the budget conscious crowd. However, if you skip lunch, go hungry and want to enjoy a high-quality feast, try the Blue Crab. We try to go at least one time whenever we’re at the beach.

Pretty impressive but limited menu here. My wife had the seafood pizza which she was happy with. We also split a cream of crab soup which was decent. The highlight for me was the fish of the day. It happened to be red snapper. It Was prepared perfectly. They put some kind of pico de mayo on it which I didn’t really care for and there was a lot oil/butter on the plate but it didn’t take away from the flavor. Just pushed it to the side and all was good. Place had a family atmosphere to it. Wait staff was good. Prices were a bit high but on par for a tourist destination. Overall I was impressed.

Nice place in the heart of BB. I got takeout for the family one night this week. Mrs W, a Baltimore native, had a hankering for crabs. She pronounced them very good. The star of the meal, however, was the fried chicken. We got six breasts for $ 15. This is amazing fried chicken! The other reviews are spot on in this regard. We also got a side of hush puppies. I’m sure these would be great hush puppies if you ate at the restaurant, but they were inedible when I got them home. DONOT order hush puppies to go!
