Being not from the area and knowing the Danbury area really has no record stores I can see why people really enjoy this store. I can also see why they are able to charge 10 dollars more on every item then anywhere else. I saw several items I was going to purchase but at 25 – 30 a record il pass. Hopefully I will find them cheaper. I’m hoping to win the lottery so I can freely buy everything that I want. My brother and I spent like an hour looking at every record and coilsnt find one reasonable enough to purchase. This was the stores second chance for me with the same results. Over priced. I will probably never return.

My favorite place to buy music! The atmosphere is very cool and friendly. Dennis and John the brothers/owners are great. They are incredibly knowledgable about music. This is a great resource for those who really love music. In a modern world where pirating music and downloading is unfortunately the in fashion, Disc and Dat is a beacon of hope. It holds true to the organic way of building a music collection and supporting music. The only problem with the place is it’s so hard to get out of! I just want to stay there and buy everything. Long live Disc and Dat

Disc and Dat is the best record/CD store in the area bar none. Dennis and John know their music and if they don’t have what you are looking for they will special order it for you. Browse the racks. Listen to a used CD before you buy. Bring in your old used CDs and records and trade them in for your newest interests. If I didn’t have to work for a living, I’d spend all my free time here!

Love this little place, my boyfriend and I have been going here for about 4 years now. I’m not as into music as he is, but if I’m looking for something specific I can usually find it. If not, the owners are happy to order it for you. My boyfriend almost never comes away empty handed. For a small place, there’s a great selection of new and used CDs and vinyl, which I find is more reasonably priced than other stores in the area. Definitely my favorite music shop.

I just love reviews based on nothing more than a peek in the window. What? I’ve had similar uninformed brilliant assessments of my own business through Unilocal unfortunately. Anyhoo.
I know this store for 30 years from when they started in Stamford. One of the last bastions of music knowledge and coolness. The owners are awesome, friendly — great music store — period.

The store was closed when I walked by, but from peeking in the window it looks like a funky (as in cool) used CD store. I hope to check it out the next time I’m around. Three stars for apparently having the funk.
