Some of the best doughnuts in the DMV. I am particularly a fan of the glazed. They are both salty and sweet.

The donut selection looks impressive – I just wish we’d gotten there earlier, they were mostly sold out when we arrived! The donuts are on the daintier side (so you can feel less guilty about eating more than one), though some are bigger than others. The largest of the three we ordered, the dulce de leche (yeast donut with creamy caramel filling) was surprisingly good — I’m generally a cake donut kind of gal, but I could see myself ordering it again. The other two were also yeast donuts, and were smaller: the vanilla glazed was classic and tasty, and the toffee peanut butter crunch was exciting, bold, and totally yummy. Coffee was hot and strong, the perfect complement to the sugary treats.

Oh and the staff are very friendly and the music is awesome.

These might be the best doughnuts in the DMV. The espresso is quality. If you’re coming from NYC or PDX or SEA sure these donuts are only a 4 of 5. But they are top contenders in the area and the staff is excited for you to enjoy them. They’re a lil’ small for your average donut which I take as a positive. It means I don’t have to choose between their incredible flavors.

So this little shop is located inside Bold Bite on Fairmont Avenue and I have been getting donuts from them for a while now and they are TO DIE FOR. They have recently rebuilt the inside to make room for the coffee and donut counter. I’ve been going to Bold Bite since they opened so to see them grow into such a great place to go and get good food, and now good donuts and coffee, makes me happy. The gentlemen behind the coffee counter was so pleasant and made my day but letting us try some new donuts. I recommend the dulce (duh), toffee or plain glazed.
