I met Sarah back in August of last year, and you would be hard-pressed to find anyone more dedicated to her business! She redeemed a Groupon for me, and upon tasting one of her chocolate-enrobed(covered is just not a strong enough word…) caramels, I promptly bought another few single caramels of other flavors. The raspberry was a close second to the salty vanilla, and I have been back to the Women’s Market several times since, just for Sarah and her delicious caramels.

Very delicious(hard to eat just one) and meticulously handcrafted delights. I love the Old Bay dark chocolate caramel the best. My second favorite is the almond vegan caramel but all of them are delicious. Sarah’s enthusiasm and talent in making the chocolate caramels is the best in the area! She has a store front in Bethesda at Montgomery Farm Women’s Cooperative Market and in select farmers markets in the DC Metro area and an online shop as well. Do yourself a favor, buy her chocolates, you will not regret it. Best gift for housewarming, graduation, birthday or just a sweet hello to someone special. I love Chouquette.

Chouquette’s lovely chocolates can be found at the Bethesda market building Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays 8 – 4. On Sundays, the proprietor brings her friendly smile and beautiful sweets to the Bethesda Central Farm Market. I recently sampled a Guiness caramel(delish!), and bought a box of DC-themed vanilla sea salt caramels for a friend who is leaving DC(she loved them!). A box of 5 runs $ 12.50, and really makes a lovely gift, as would any of the larger boxes.
