Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Pick-​up was delayed by 20 minutes from my requested time. Staff were delightful and quick however. Got a nice Cadillac instead of a Kia Rio!

I had to call 7 times today to check if I can replaced my car that I rented from this place. No answer or they just hang up on me. No more car renting from them,

I have rented from Enterprise before and it has been always a nice experience until this last time. I booked the weekend promotion that it is a great deal a car from Friday to Monday for $ 35 is great. But the service at this location was so bad that it does not worth to take the trip to go to this location. First they make us wait 30 minutes to pick us up at the metro and they never showed up so we had to get a taxi to get to the location. Then at the location they make us wait again and again and finally even though i specifically had reserved an economy small car they were trying to make me rent a huge SUV. They have to drive me and another client to a different location to get a small car. On Monday when we returned the car the employees of that location were rude and treat us and all the other customer with not interested at all in doing a good job. When we asked if they can drop us off at the metro station they responded rudely yeah but you have to wait around 40 minutes… We left right away using an Über. Worse experience ever with enterprise.

I needed a specific type of vehicle and Enterprise had the vehicle. The vehicle was fine and the staff here are professional and friendly. Two stars are due to Enterprise Corporate policy 1. I came into this office several hours before pickup and requested a full tank of gas. The manager assured me the car would have a full tank of gas. I was presented with ¾ tank. They have some stupid limit on how much gasoline they can charge per day. 2. I declined the «extra insurance coverage» because I was covered by my credit card and my normal auto coverage. I was asked what the deductible was on my insurance policy. I declined to give this information. Bottom line, no matter how professional and nice the staff are at a rental location, expect to be hassled when you rent from Enterprise. I usually rent from Hertz and I never deal with this «stuff» of not full gas tank and «what is your deductible». I cannot recommend Enterprise due to edicts imposed on branches from corporate.

The $ 9.99 weekend rate can’t be beat.

Walked 20 feet down the sidewalk to meet me at the repair shop, and give me a tour of my options. Rental fleet options include non-​Ford vehicles, which is nice considering the dealership it’s attached to. Car return is relatively painless, you just have to walk into their office on the left and not try to drop it off with Ourisman or Geico. Friendlier service here than from their neighbors, but they gypped me of a discount on the sly so I’m left feeling lukewarm.

I decided to rent a car form Enterprise in favor of my brakes not giving out on a road trip to Ocean City Maryland. From start to finish the experience was great. I reserved a car over the phone the night before with a kind phone salesman. He informed me that the closet Enterprise was charging 99 dollars a day for a full size, but if I went a little bit out of my way the cost was 30 dollars a day. Ok, I’ll go a little out of my way. That’s a HUGE price difference. What was nice too was that they didn’t even have to take a deposit for the car reservation. Nice deal!
So if you don’t know where this is — it’s attached to a car dealership next to the Home Depot behind Montgomery Mall. Don’t know theres a Home Depot behind Montgomery Mall — it’s hardware’s best kept secret.
I go in and the lady who handled my reservation was very kind and pleasant. The only star knock off has nothing to do with customer service or the actual car I got. They charge you a 200 dollar deposit for putting the rental on a debit card and a 100 dollar deposit for putting it on a credit card. Why? This is a silly policy. Enterprise — just change this. I wouldn’t even been mad if they charged 200 dollars for both types of cards. Just don’t give me a double standard.
The gentlemen who showed me around the car (a Toyota Prius) was kind and courteous making small jokes as we toured the car: «Ok, so there’s no smoking or pets allowed in the car– and for your pet’s sake– no smoking pets either.» BA DA CHING! The Toyota Prius was nice and I completely chose it based on gas mileage. There’s always been something about Toyotas that has bothered me. One thing is the stubby non telescoping wheel. The Prius wheel in particular is not even a circle. Get this communist crap out of here! :) I’ve never liked Toyotas, but it treated me well for 2 days. Overall the car was a fine drive (not much power behind the gas pedal) but that’s how you save on gas milage.
The car return was very easy. The return process was very painless. Check that the car has no new damage and hand me my receipt. Good deal.

After extremely poor experiences at two Silver Spring Enterprise locations I came to this location hoping (needing) something better. It was on a Friday and I needed a car. The manager, Pete, explained to me that he wanted to rent me a car but he had none. He said «Around 4:00 pm». I was very irate from the poor service from the other locations and a bad day in general so I stormed out of the place. Turns out I needed to return. Humbled and somewhat ashamed of how I acted I apologized and Pete was upset but forgiving. He ended up working out a rental agreement that got me the car I needed in a way I could make work. Pete is a stand up guy and a good man. He is a real businessman who values the customer. I will rent at car from Pete any day of the week. The other young guy working the rentals who I initally spoke with when I discovered the location is also a good guy as well. Overall, even though I’ve soured on Enterprise as a company I have no problem at all going to this particular location. When I returned my car I saw that Pete was catching hell from a couple who, apparently, had shedded dog hair in their rental car. They were even more irate than I was the day before. Pete was professional and managed, from what I saw, things will class. Again, Pete deserves your business and this location is far better than any other Enterprise I would ever go to.

I’ve always had good experiences with Enterprise, but when my car broke down yesterday this office provided the fastest service I’ve ever had. By the time the tow truck arrived, these folks were there with a car ready, and I was back on the road within 30 minutes of having called for a car. Thanks!
