McDonald’s

I live nearby and have been here many times. They often forget one small thing or the other (ketchup straw drink, fry size) and i don’t realize til i am home but today was the last straw; first they forget part of my order; then i went home to eat my apple pie which was not an apple pie with fruit pieces but a mix of some apple paste and some kind of gross cream cheese half; now it is too late to run back out and eat but i am never trying this mcdonalds again.

This is a place to go when you are low sugar, and I mean hands shaking, sweaty palms, headaches and the whole nine yards. I can’t really see any other need to visit this establishment because the sugar and fat content are truly decadent. However when experiencing the low sugars and in me –Low sugar makes me feel like I am dying– the food will balance out the sugar problem

This location is conveniently located right off of River Rd. Having said that, the drive thru is usually crowded, especially during weekday lunch hours.

I would never normally rate a McDonald’s but this place is full of rude people but worst, the food is always bad. Just had a buttermilk chicken sandwich and the thing tasted like a flat piece of cardboard. They made me wait for 5 min at the drive thru for three fries and they severely shorted me. On all 3! My daughter’s nuggets were cold. Their attitudes are terrible every single time. I’m local, less than a mile away and i hate this place. Just suck it up and goto Tenley or Mazza.

I stop here most mornings for coffee (drive through). Love McDonalds coffee! I used to ask for cream and Equal on the side, but decided to let them start adding it for me. I am at a loss to understand how 4 cream and 4 Equal creates a different cup of coffee every time. There is absolutely no consistency to the way the coffee turns out. sometimes it’s way too sweet, other times it tastes like there is no sweetener at all. Today my coffee was so light I thought I was drinking all cream. Come on people, aren’t you using a pump dispenser system? If you count correctly, 4 pumps of cream and 4 pumps of Equal should be the same every time. This may sound trivial, but it’s really annoying! I’m going back to doing it myself!

On the times I get back down to DC, I rarely stop at this McDonalds. However, today I needed to get on the internet, so I stopped by. I had my first McCafe peperment latte, and it was pretty good.
However, in general this McDonalds is only about average. Their burgers are seasoned with salt and pepper better than many other locations, but sometimes they over pepper the burgers. That’s jus not good. I have also had numerous experiences with underdone fries here. Once several of mine were actually raw.
In all, it is not a horrible place to stop and get something quickly. But if you just want a burger, there are better places in the neighborhood.

So… do they have someone in the back slicing up real books? Or do they get them shipped in from a fake book factory?

I’m not a huge fan of McDonald’s, especially since I am a vegetarian, but I have to give this McDonald’s credit. We decided to do a McDonald’s breakfast drive thru run one morning when we were in town and drove up with a huge list consisting of 10 people’s orders. To my shock and amazement, not only were they fast, but they also got the entire order correct! They even aced the often confusing «Egg McMuffin with no meat» order. Impressive!
