I recently came across Marissa through searching for a new esthetician. She’s very knowledgeable on skin conditions and is very helpful with recommendations for post-​facial instructions. I came to her to address my dehydrated and dry skin issues and she was able to restore firmness and hydration that lasted days after the facial. She was also very helpful in recommending what may be causing my skin problems. We even discussed monitoring progress throughout my next facial visits. She uses from what I could see and feel on my skin great quality products. She’s also very light handed so the extractions went through like a breeze.
I came back shortly after my facial for a Brazilian. As anyone would know, this service can be a bit awkward when it’s the first session for two people but marissa asked me whether I have done this before and still walked me through getting comfortable at her spa which I appreciate — professionalism is hard to come by nowadays. The Brazilian was pretty much as painless as it could be. She used both soft wax and hard wax on me. I’ve never had hard wax prior to marissa and I will not be going back to all soft wax with anyone else! I do have thicker hair and I appreciate Marissa reminding me when to take deep breaths for larger and sensitive areas, it really did prepare me for the pull since she knew it was my first Brazilian with her.
Service, technique and ambiance overall was perfect, she’s also very understanding with time because the parking situation is horrendous is downtown Bethesda.
