The Cheesecake Factory

Huge tables and booths in the dining area available — not crowded at all. In fact almost no one was there when we went but we got sat in the bar. Party of 8 people but we were asked to wait while our table was being set … for six. Not the biggest deal but… first round of glasses so dirty you could feel them. My iced tea glass was flocked with the last drink in that glass. Service was okay. The kids were fine with their food. Had a veggie burger that was gummy.

Waste of time and money. We didn’t even see our waitress until we’d been there 15 min. Food was nothing I’d want to eat again and it took 40 min to come out. No apology or explanation. Table across from us was seated after we ordered and they got their food before us. My tacos were cold and completely soggy on the bottom from where they had been sitting. Waitress was very insistent that I was wrong and food was not allowed to sit, but had no way to explain why the food was cold and soggy. My dish was taken off the bill. I felt the issue was as resolved as it was going to get, but she sent the manager over anyway. Manager looked at me like I was an idiot when I explained (again) the long wait time for the food and how it arrived cold and soggy. Still no explanation. Two different people tried to hand me menus and get me to order dessert after I had already said no and had asked for the check.
Considering all the other options this mall and area have to offer I don’t see any reason to ever go here again.

Tonight I went in gave them my name and was told the wait would be 20 mins. Once the 20 mins were up, we were notified because our handy-​dandy buzzer went off.
We went in and gave it to the lady, who was dressed in a white button up long sleeve, and was told to wait to the right side. So we waited patiently and I kept an eye on every party that was being seated because this is not my first time that I have been forgotten. So after watching five parties being seated including three parties for two who came in after us I was furious. I can not believe they are so incompetent with seating. Do they not value people’s time?
I went up and told the lady who was seating people, she was dressed in black, that I have waited and my name has yet to be called. She then asked me if I had given my name. I’m like yes I have because I wouldn’t be up there giving my buzzer to the lady in white. She tells me to wait and she looks at her screen tapping away, then from the corner of my eye I see the lady in white print a ticket with my name on it. I couldn’t believe this. As she was slyly printing my seating ticket the manager comes and tells me that they called my name numerous times and I was no where to be found? Are you kidding me? I stood there the whole time waiting and watching people to be seated. She wasn’t even there to begin with when I had the issues. So I pick up the ticket and I tossed it towards her and told her «she» just printed my ticket and pointed to the lady dressed in the white top.
The manager proceeded to tell me that they called my name, I don’t understand why they can’t accept that they made a mistake and that they will seat me right away. Instead she proceed to argue with me.
After 2 – 5 minutes of going back and forth with her I told her to just seat me I didn’t want to argue with her. She sat us down and half-​heartedly said «sorry». The «sorry» was pathetic and left me upset during the beginning of our dinner.
Anyhow, our server Donald came over with his upbeat personality and made our night better. He was extremely nice and was attentive.
Appetizer:
Portabella Avocado Zucchini Fries — all three were delicious. Light battered then fried, came piping hot with shredded parmesan cheese on top; two amazingly tasty sauces to dunk the veggies fries in. Must try if you have yet to try their new appetizers.
Entrees:
Steak Diane and Chicken — both were cooked to perfection with the accompanying sauces. No complaints here. (I usually order the cajun jambalaya but THIS location seems to never make it right.)
Tomato Basil Pasta — delicious as well, loads of tomatoes which can be a tad overwhelming but the basil sauce and cheese was on point.
If my experience from beginning to end was better, this could have been my first 5 star experience.

Be wary when you make reservations here; they may or not have it. And also you can’t get seated until 80% of your party comes if you have a reservation. Which is understandable but kind of awkward standing around lmao since people are usually late.
Our waitress was really nice and provided excellent service; no idea why Unilocal has so many negative reviews on the service when I thought it was fine.
The food was large-​portioned and tasted fine. It’s not like super super amazing, but it’s pretty good albeit the price tag that comes along with it.
Also, bring flashlights because that place is dark. (just kidding, please don’t actually do this) When we sat down the lighting was fine but literally 10 minutes later it got significantly darker. Anyways it was a normal experience.

Godiva chocolate cheesecake gets them an extra star!
Quick summary: bar lost our drink order, burger not cooked correctly. Small portion of salmon and mediocre food in general (i could do better at home). Had to keep asking for extra plates and utensils. Not enough napkins. Too busy with not enough staff.

I miss the white flint location. Although this is a chain restaurant, the restaurant is not as clean and the staff are not great.
I love this chain –one of my favorites, but the service was disappointing. Our waiter kept disregarding us and seemed as if he wasn’t interested in our table. The salads we ordered — the Greek, Caesar and chopped were delicious! I also had the rib eye and salmon which were decent. The mashed potatoes were good– nice and whipped. We also ordered tiramisu and regular cheesecake which of course never disappoints.
I’ve come here for happy hour and it is excellent. Appetizers and some drinks for just $ 5. My favorite appetizer is the sweet corn tamale cakes.
The burgers and fries are also tasty. The pasta never disappoints and the salads again are Fab! I wouldn’t come here if I was craving a good steak though. They also offer pumpernickel and white bread with butter at the beginning of your meal.

Recently I have just been getting desserts here! The service depends on the server, I come pretty late at night so they sometimes rush me. Some servers are really friendly, I had one that was more on the rude side. My friend always gets coffee and it is always hot, which is obviously good.
I have gotten Linda’s fudge cake, this is super moist and served with three dollops of whipped cream. It has a rich chocolate ganache frosting on top and layered in between, I do wish there was more between though. There is a thin layer of the ganache on the backside of the cake too and this part is covered in chocolate chips, which add a nice crunch. I would definitely recommend this cake to someone looking for chocolate cake here.
My personal favorite dessert here so far is the Godiva fudge brownie sundae. This comes with 3 triangles of rich fudge like brownie, 2 scoops of ice cream with dollops of whipped cream on top, some fudge sauce and 2 chocolate squares. I love how big this dessert is! I do eat the whole thing by myself (I have a very big sweet tooth!) but it could definitely be shared with 2 or 3 people… probably more but I wouldn’t share with more than one lol. I love that the brownie is so dense and fudgy and the vanilla ice cream goes so well with it, I am drooling now…
I got the pumpkin cheesecake. The texture was good and the crust was nice and crisp. There was a big dollop of whipped cream on top and on the plate that went well with the smooth cheesecake. My problem with this was the size, compared to the brownie sundae it is probably ¹⁄₅ the size at least and I didn’t feel satisfied after. But this is coming from a sweetaholic.

Normally I wouldn’t bother writing a review for a place like the Cheesecake Factory (places like this you kind of know what to expect) but our experience was so poor that I feel like I need to warn people about this specific location, because from the looks of other reviews this is kind of the norm.
A friend and I came for dinner on a Wednesday night around 6:30pm — wanting to catch up somewhere that reminded us of high school, so where else than the Cheesecake Factory, where we like every other American teenager used to go when we wanted a «classy» dining experience. I’m not trying to harp on the CF; it’s a good place to go for some American chain restaurant dining, even if you’re going there «ironically» like my friend and I were. Anyway, our experience:
Walked in the and the hostess said hi and just stared at us, I’m not kidding. After a few awkward seconds, I asked for a table for two and she led us. Weird, but whatever. Our server, whose name we never got, didn’t even bring us drinks (when we just wanted water) until after he had brought us our bread basket. The sweet brown bread was delicious, but the white bread was rather stale. He then took our orders, and our food was brought out within reasonable time by a different server who set it down and left.
My friend ordered macaroni and cheese and was brought the fried macaroni and cheese balls appetizer. I ordered the Skinnylicious lemon garlic shrimp and asked for a side of vegetables instead of the pasta, but was instead brought a bowl of lettuce. As a former server I completely understand mix ups happen, but it was frustrating because if our server himself had brought us the food (instead of shmoozing with the table of girls next to us, which he was doing all night), he could have attended to it right away. When he saw us with our food he came over and right away pointed to my bowl of lettuce and said «That’s not a side of vegetables» and picked it up to take it back. My friend is very shy and I knew wasn’t going to say anything so I went ahead for her and let him know that she wanted mac and cheese, not the fried MC app. His response was «Well, that’s not what you were pointing to on the menu», which kind of took me back — not how a server should respond. We both just kind of looked at him and he said «Well, I can put in mac and cheese, but that’s going to take a while», and my friend said the app was fine, but I was pretty put off by that. He brought me back a side of vegetables: a plate of steamed snow peas, carrots, and something else drenched in this asian sauce. Not very good.
The MC balls were good but we were very unhappy with how he handled the whole thing. Also, if you go to CF, don’t order off the Skinnylicious menu. I paid 17 dollars for six tiny pieces of shrimp and asparagus. It’s not worth it — make CF your cheat meal, don’t try to be healthy there. Lesson learned.
Dessert was delicious, obviously: my friend and I shared the Cookie Dough Cheesecake and the Godiva Brownie Ice Cream Sundae. Our server brought out both with no utensils (after taking our dirty ones away), so we had to wait.
I would not go to this CF again. It seems like a lot of other people have had poor service here.

Every time I’ve been here there’s been a problem– either food or service. Doesn’t seem to happen nearly as much at other cheesecake factory’s. On this visit tonight the front desk was helping someone with an issue. We waited 4 minutes then I asked if they had a flight. She said «I’m helping someone else.» I said yea I know I just wondered if there was a wait so we would no. She could have just said yes/​no. Instead she again in an even ruder voice said «I’m helping someone else». So we left. I called and talked to the manager, and after waiting 20 minutes on hold, talked to Shania, and her only offer was that if we wanted to drive back we could and she would seat us.

It’s the Cheesecake Factory! What’s not to like about this place? You’d be crazy not to love this restaurant…
Took my husband here for the very first time since he LOVES cheesecake. He absolutely was not disappointed! The portions were great, the menu had plenty to choose from such as different sea foods, pastas, steaks, burgers and salads. The kids menu was also had a wide variety. The atmosphere was beautiful (the dimmed lights brough a warm feeling to it!). The customer service was excellent and fast, and the cheesecake… Well… Probably the best there is!
My husband and I ordered the pumpkin cheesecake after our meal and shared it with my son. They have other fresh cheesecakes that you get to buy, by slice or by full.
All in all, we need a Cheesecake Factory here in Frederick hands down!!! Totally worth the cheat meal day! ;)

I love the Cheesecake Factory and everything it offers. Great drinks, huge amounts of food and lively atmosphere. Yes, I would consider it «fast food» it’s a CHAIN people. For the money you receive a pleasant amount of food, yes the cheesecake is over priced– but of course it is! It’s the CHEESECAKE FACTORY

I love The Cheesecake Factory in general. From the portions size to the cool décor to the crazy amount of options, this place is my go-​to for a casual lunch with a friend (especially, in this location, if I’m shopping).
I *highly* recommend the «Pasta Da Vinci» — it’s so delicious and the sauce they use is unique from the usual alfredo and marinara sauces you usually find with pastas. It’s made with a delicious wine reduction that makes my taste buds dance.
The crabcake sandwich is pretty delicious as well, though I’m not sure how much of it is actually crab meat and not filling — but I’m a lover of all crab cakes!
The service can be pretty slow during the dinner rush, but my lunch experience today was excellent. The place opens for lunch at 11:30am and we got there at 12:15am — immediately seated and experienced decently prompt service. They are very accommodating of certain things you want modified with your meal, such as extra sauce or more thoroughly cooked pasta.
Overall, I love this place. I feel a bit guilty about how many calories I just ate when I’m leaving but hey, I always pack leftovers!
Tip: Make sure you ask for more bread to pack as well. I like the brown bread a lot more because it’s sweeter, whereas the white bread tends to be dry.

What can I say about the Cheesecake Factory that hasn’t been said before. Quick, starch and salt filled food, expensive drinks, and slices of cheesecake which contain more calories than an average adult needs in a week.
There is nothing about this location that is any different than any other location except for that it’s at Montgomery Mall rather than Anymall USA.
Decent place for a girls night out if you feel like treating yourself to martinis and cheesecake. Okay place if you’re in high school and want to go on a «fancy» date. Expect a lot of noise, people with massive amounts of shopping bags and to leave feeling full, bloated, and probably a little worse about yourself after consuming a 5000 calorie meal.
Service is usually on point, and despite the lines you can usually get a table in 20 minutes or so.

I visited (4÷28÷15) ordered Southern Catfish Dinner w/​mashed potatoes, corn & string beans. Meal arrived @table piping hot!
The catfish fresh flavor, fish costing is crispy lightly seasoned. The corn & beans crisp fresh taste, chunky style mashed potatoes.
Delicious meal. Great service.

Portions are always huge here and I love the lunch specials but why do I always get the «new» server and why are they always out of bread when I’m there and why oh why do they always force me to sit in the bar area when there are plenty of seats open in the dining room?
Once a week my husband and I have date day. He usually wants to go here. The food is great but it would be nice just once to not be forced to sit in the bar.
We’ve asked to sit in the dining room. We get there right when they open. But it seems they have a server rotation they will NOT budge from.
He works 6 days a week. It’s our one day to have a nice lunch and every time we are sat in the bar.
That being said, the salmon lunch special is great. Juicy salmon cooked to perfection. Hubby likes it with mashed potatoes and carrots.
The meatloaf is a HUGE portion even on the lunch size and is better than my mom makes (sorry momma).
Lately I’ve been getting the Cobb salad no bacon and cannot finish the lunch size. Last week when I was almost finished I bit into a big chunk of pork (bacon). I cannot eat pig for religious reasons and was very upset that it seemed they caught their mistake and picked most of the bacon out. But not all.
Also ordered a Caesar salad no cheese no chicken to go for my vegetarian daughter yet when I got it home it had chicken and cheese. My fault. I should have checked before I left.
Love their signature tea.
Love the portion sizes and lunch specials but for the love of G-​d, just once could we sit in the dining room and have some yummy sour dough bread when we come in at opening? Please and thank you.
Ps the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake is divine. The Reese’s cheesecake is waaaaaay tooooo sweet. But get some of you may love it.
Next time I come please don’t force me to dine in the bar and maybe not be out of bread by 11:30 am.

This is an awesome addition at montgomery mall.
Restaurant itself is spacious and staff is usually friendly. Food options are as expected and comes out food.
I’ve been here several times and had good experience with all of them!

I agree with others that the space seems smaller. it was pretty crowded on a Saturday night even though it was already after 9:30pm. Although, i was told the wait was 15 minutes for two, we opted to sit at the high top tables in the bar area. I was reminded of my college days when Cheesecake was at White Flint. Back then the wait was over an hour and we would stalk the bar tables as well.
Service was great. I forgot to take pictures but I really enjoyed the Mojito which came in a tall glass with just the right amount of sweetness. The Tex Mex egg rolls were much thinner than I remembered but still just as good.

Stepped in here the other night for dinner. Had the dynamite shrimp which was delicious. Tempura shrimp was light, crispy and flaky. Dipping sauce was a nice compliment. Not too spicy but with a little kick. I ordered the southwest burger. Damn, that was a good burger. Medium well, juicy, with bacon, aged cheddar, crispy onion straws and bbq sauce. **Money** Found some room for dessert and ordered the lemon meringue pie cheescake. Nuff said. This would have, been a 5 star rating but my server/​waitress was very lack luster and we’ll just not good. Overall, food wise, great dinner. Will be back.

One of the items my dad always buy from Costco is the boxed Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake. He eats it fresh out of the box, straight from the freezer (yep frozen cheesecake), and sometimes even with his bare hand. He’s one of the biggest cheesecake fanatics I know! Little did he know that it is branded after an actual restaurant. For one of our father/​daughter dinner date, I knew I had to show him there’s more to the world than plain cheesecake!
Before we dived right into desserts, we did have a proper, ginormous dinner — mac and cheese burger and pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. For a chain restaurant, I’m very impressed by Cheesecake Factory! The burger/​sandwich were well made (plus on quantity, plus on the quality too). The burger patty was juicy, the layer of fried mac and cheese was gooey and crunchy — I wasn’t surprised that my dad devoured the entire burger in one seating. My pulled pork sandwich — perfectly toasted bun, saucy delicious meat on top of meat, topped with their creamy Cole Slaw — forget trying to save room for dessert! And did I mention their sweet potato fries were fried perfectly? One of the best sweet potato fries I’ve had — straight from the fryer and yet not one bit greasy!
We wrapped our dinner date by sharing the perfect treat — Godiva chocolate cheesecake — 3 combined layers of perfection: brownie cake, chocolate mousse, and Godiva cheesecake. We polished the plate clean! With so many cheesecake options to choose from, my dad is now convinced to make a weekly outing to Cheesecake Factory to have one of each!

Happy it relocated to Montgomery Mall from White Flint. The space is a lot smaller here, but they tried to compensate by adding a lot of «outside» tables — just looking at the Old Navy really. Been here many times already and the food and service has been pretty good. Glad they have their calories listed in the menu. On the days I want to eat healthy, I order from the Skinnylicious menu. The soft tacos are very good and filling and under 600 calories.
On the regular menu, can’t go wrong with the garlic pasta with chicken. I also like their club sandwich, cobb salad and shepard’s pie.
During lunch they have smaller portions along with lower prices compared to the full meals.
Don’t miss out on their happy hour specials and of course their cheesecakes!
