Apollo Grill

Came here for restaurant week a couple weeks ago. Food was incredible, service was not bad as well. The only complaint I do have is the lack of separation from the bar and dining area, but overall a great place. Will return!

It is kind of like a diner with the lights dimmed. Service is nice but the atmosphere isn’t great. The bar area bleeds into the dining room and you can see the bright screens of the TVs and hear the bar music throughout.
The menu lacks any kind of culinary direction — you can get anything from buffalo wings to quesadillas to udon noodles to filet mignon. My wife ordered the crab mac n’ cheese off of the appetizer menu for dinner which she enjoyed. I ordered the 5oz filet and was very disappointed. It was inconsistently cooked and had to be sent back at first because it came medium rare and I asked for medium well. The second time it came back it was at least medium so I just went with it.
Overall, if this is your kind of restaurant style it may work for you but my wife and I won’t be back. There are so many other restaurants throughout Bethlehem and Allentown that are much better.

What a gem, this place is! The food is scrumptious! There are a few diffrerent vegetarian options that are sensational! The Tricolore salad is amazing!!! This is one of my favorite places in Bethlehem! Yummy!

For the first time in this city I did not need my personal salt shaker (at least not for the appetizer). I ordered the lump crab and avocado martini and it was unique and amazing. It comes in a tequila lime butter sauce. For dinner, I had the beef short ribs with manchego grits. Once again, we hit a wall. The short ribs were dry and tasteless – except for the glaze. The grits were lumpy and lacked flavor. For dessert, I was considering the banana foster cheesecake. But I thought better of it after last nights fiasco with my churros at Tapas. I did however, want to give props to my waitress, Alex. She was very sweet and thoughtful.

Went for Restaurant week last night. Everything was amazing. Had the best cream of mushroom soup that I ever ate. Could not finish the short ribs on mashed potatoes even though it was wonderful. Our waitress was very good. $ 30.16 for a fantastic four course meal. Worth every penny. An experience that we will remember for years to come. Thanks Appolo.

We went there for dinner a couple of weeks ago. I ordered the short ribs on grits, as I read rave reviews about it. I wasn’t disappointed. The portion was also rather generous. We ordered the Buffalo beer battered shrimp appetizer, although it was very tasty, it also was very salty for both our taste. My partner ordered the Udon noodle. It was very good especially if you like Asian flavors. The portion was also very generous. Needless to say we both had leftovers. I ordered a Cabernet Sauvignon, had to send that back. Tasted like vinegar. Next wine I believe was a Merlot although better still not a good wine.

Food was a 5! Overall the experience was a 4 as it took a long time to get our drinks and the water we had requested. The experience got better as the night went on. Nice atmosphere. Make a reservation.

After being shafted by Mama Nina for dinner, my friend recommended we try this restaurant. Arrived about 8:30 or so on Saturday night (12 Dec), we had a bit of a wait. This is my first time to Bethlehem, so I’m not sure if the weather had something to do with it or what, but every bar/​restaurant was packed, so having a wait everywhere you go was expected. Anyhoo, we settled at the bar for a drink while waiting for our table. It was about a 30 minute wait, not too bad, and we were finally sat. Our server, who’s name I can’t remember, was really awesome (if I remember it, I will surely update my review with his name, because I think it’s very important). I would think at 9pm or so, after a long busy day, he’d be running on fumes. But we was really upbeat, courteous and funny.
So, after he read off the specials, we ordered three app’s… Clams Casino, Cashew Chicken Skewers, and Calamari. All were served quickly and they were hot and fresh, very tasty and hit the spot!!! For my meal, I decided on a burger, with swiss and bacon, side of fries. My buddy also ordered a burger, and we both wanted fries… The server told us that the fries portion is really big, and one order for us both will due… And it did! For $ 3.00, you get yourself some fries! High 5 on that tip buddy… My burger was cooked perfectly to order and was very juicy and hit the spot! So, four meals, three app’s and one drink, the bill as $ 98.00… VERY reasonable for four people.
Perfect ending to a perfect night out in Bethlehem with great friends… I highly recommend this restaurant, just be prepared to wait if you don’t have reservations!

Wonderful experience. Food excellent & exactly as we wanted. Ahi tuna amazing. They swarm a table to clean and turnover.

The service was great and super friendly. When I asked for suggestions/​directions to other places they were super helpful (even giving me their mobile number if I got lost).
The food was tasty, I like the inventive twists on classic dishes. In my 36 hours in town, my husband and I came here twice. That tells you how much we enjoyed the experience.

First time here. From the moment you walked in great service, food is delicious. I came with my kids and the macaroni and cheese are to die for. And it looks like the short ribs (which i also order) are very famous. Everything was delicious. Great food presentation. And the cosmos are great. Definitely coming back, i wanna try their martinis! 5

My suggestion: best for Lunch or Drinks & Apps
Went for dinner on a Friday night with a reservation. Was greeted warmly and seated as soon as we walked in. Waitress was VERY attentive and helpful with suggestions.
(1) I ordered a Strawberry Cheesecake Martini with a crumble crust on the rim. It was smooth and delicious.
(2) Order an App: Asparagus wrapped in bacon wrapped in filo dough with a mozz pesto dipping sauce (I uploaded a photo of this dish to Unilocal). It was delicious with the asparagus well cooked, yet the salad & cheese bowl it was severed in we did not finish
(3) I ordered a smoked turkey sandwich with pears, arugula, maple mayo, bacon on wheat bread. It came served with chips and a pickle. I was surprised because that would be great a lunch time, but at dinner I felt it cheapened the dish. Once I bit into the sammie however, it was heaven. I will try it again if I do return
We unfortunately did not feel well as soon as our dinner came out and promptly had to leave, which the waitress was understanding about and wrapped up our food to good, which we were very thankful for.
Overall, I was happy, but will only likely return for lunch or for happy hour

The lemon ricotta pancakes were on point (so go get them)
Went In Twice in 1 week and both our waitresses Michelle and jasmine were great! Both were sweet and delivered service with a warm smile.
We met the manager and she was just as sweet & you can tell she really cares for her employees which is refreshing to see

I can’t come up with a bad thing to say after my nice little lunch time drop in. I had a grilled sandwich that was the roasted turkey and Brie. It also had some apples in it. So tasty!
The chips were good and so was the pickle. The gal at the bar was nice and helpful.
For a single lunch drop in you’d not come here to watch the tv. It’s an uppity place and you’ll pay for what you get but its a very nice experience.
I’d love to go for dinner some time.

Let me tell you about this little gem in downtown Bethlehem. OMMMGGGG!!! It was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Every single thing we tried was PHENOMENOL. I can’t wait to bring my husband back. We tried 3 appetizers, 3 entrees and 3 desserts, lol yea we were hungry but it was so we’ll worth it. Service was amazing, place was amazing and food was out of this world. Definitely tops the charts.

Wow — one of the best meals I have had out in a long time. And my party of four all agree. I had the swordfish special for the night. It was cooked perfectly and such a fresh piece. The others at my table had steak. The menu had something for everyone. Great appetizers and desserts too.

While visiting my son and his wife, they had the good fortune to make reservations at the Apollo grill. They have outdoor and indoor seating as well as a very active bar area. There was probably a little more noise than I would have liked, but overall the ambience was very good. It was Friday night and the place was packed. We were seated promptly upon our arrival and we were greeted by a very energetic waitress. My son ordered the crab cakes, his wife the medallions of you and I the «catch of the day» African Huff (?). We enjoyed a bottle of Cabernet from a very diverse wine list.
Overall the food was excellent, our wait staff was attentive, and the experience was worth every dollar. I would definitely recommend this place to the person who has a more discerning palate than steaks and burgers.

I haven’t been here in years, so long that I didn’t realize that I was at the Apollo Grill years ago with my fiancée. This trip I stopped with co-​workers on business.
The place is trendy with a nice bar area and casual dining area.
They have a full menu with several options. Importantly for me, they have a «slimmed down» gluten free menu to leave the guessing game out of my ordering decisions. In my opinion, gluten free menus can keep the servers more sane by not needing to check with the kitchen for every little thing.
For lunch, I had the quinoa salad and scallops. Both were fresh and well delivered. The combination of avocado, cheese, and quinoa made the salad a flavorful hit.
The service was friendly and attentive. Our drinks were frequently refilled and felt that the needs of the table were frequently checked.
An excellent stop for food or cocktails. I’m sure if my fiancée and I make it back to the Bethlehem area, we’ll stop back again.

So damn delicious.
Crab & Asparagus Brisk soup was so good. I’m not big on seafood but the smell was so mild and the flavor was so strong. I will never forget it.
The Lamb Shank was a huge prove of meat after like 5 bites i was full. The veggies were good and not your ordinary California blend. These were sweet potatoes, Brussel sprouts and something else. Lol idk what is was, but it was good. Galicia potatoes where also good maybe too much salt. I still ate them tho.
Now, the waitress was fast, attentive and again i did not wait too long for the check (a pet peeve of mine.)
I cannot wait to travel back to Bethlehem.
I will definitely return for a new dish.
