I’ve been to this particular Dickey’s three or four times already and I must say the food has been consistently good. The sauces and food have always been fresh. How do I know? Because I’ve eaten at another Dickey’s that is closer to my house and its night and day. You can tell the sauce from the other place was caked on the side and the food did not taste fresh. This Dickey’s by the airport is awesome all around! The service has always been really polite and very accommodating. I’ve never actually stayed to eat because I’ve always gotten my food to go but there seemed to be plenty of tables and I always see someone sweeping and cleaning. I think there is free ice cream and the ice tea is brewed fresh and very good. As far as my favorite types of food here… I really like in awesomeness order, the jalapeño sausage, chicken, and the ribs. The brisk was a bit dry for me and I believe the pork was also on the dryer side. As far as sides go, I like the green beans with bacon and the cross cut fries are really good. They have three sauces, spicy, original, and sweet. I will tell you they are all very surprising good. I liked all of them but my favorite is the spicy sauce since I like a little kick with my food. And yes, there is some delayed kick there so be warned. This is my go to place for BBQ in the area. I hope I will find more places in the future because I really do dig me some awesome BBQ but for now, this is my go to place. Plenty of parking in the strip mall. There is a Sheetz on the corner. You can get to this place if your in the Sheetz parking lot. There is also a Starbucks on the corner. I would give this place a try, it’s really worth it!

The staff was nice. With only one person preparing the meat and sandwiches there was an unnecessary wait. I had the rib plate $ 14.95 with two sides — fried okra and potato salad. Hubby had the Western sandwich with honey ham and beef brisket $ 9.95, beans and mac and cheese. I tasted his sides, not bad. My potato salad was what I expected(ie no relish, no eggs, and not much flavor — definitely not my mom’s). The okra was made to order and brought to the table. It was hot and pretty tasty, not bad. The ribs was a good portion, but OMG way too much salt. I wanted to soak those suckers in water to de salt them. We had the sweet tea. Kinda weak, but not over sweeten. Condiments, hand wipes salt and pepper, knives, and forks are on the side. BBQ sauce is kept hot with ladles and containers to bring to table or take out, comes sweet, spicy, regulary. Soft serve ice cream is free for kids. Refills on drinks. Didn’t try dessert. What can I say? it’s a joint and if you are hunkering for some ribs, hey why not?

just had it today. in love withtheir beans. Highly suggest their Mac and cheese too. Pulled pork can vary on some days. I usually get the two meat platter. Worth every cent.

Beef brisket was so salty it was barely edible. Usually the sides at these type of places are good, but I didn’t enjoy the Mac n cheese or potato casserole. Sadly, the best part of the meal was the roll. I love BBQ but I sure didn’t enjoy the food here at all.

Thanks to the informative reviews here I knew what to expect and I was good with that. We wanted something other than the usual burger and fries easily found in a pinch & last minute. Stating the same thing other FAIR reviewers stated, it is a CHAIN. Now I’ve lived in Texas a few times. I know what real barbecue tastes like. But I’m not holding it against this place. The service was very friendly and the food was decent. It was a little better than I expected actually. I was prepared for very dry tasteless meat. I wouldn’t say the meat was very tasty but it was not dry. I got the sliced brisket. My daughter got the pork and we were very surprised that it was actually pretty moist. The sauces are not very good I will admit. I am sad to say that I’ve had store bought that was better :(but I also wouldn’t say it was awful. All and all, I was pleased.

The people waiting on you were not the friendliest. When I got my order I noticed that they did not have the Mac and cheese with it. When I said something one of the cooks got upset and said that it was in there. When they checked, they saw that they forgot to add it. It was not that good and I would not order it again. To be honest I will not go back. The food over all was just fair.

I don’t know what’s going on here but things seem to be getting worse. Tonight we decided to stop in and cash in on a free sandwich coupon we had. And now there is huge signage every where! And it’s overwhelming! So the place was empty. And it seemed like the employees weren’t happy we were there. But non the less we ordered. Both my wife and I had the pulled porked sandwich with waffle fries. Well it came out within like 5 minutes. Looked good. That’s all I can say. I’ve had the pulled pork there many times. It was so dry, flavorless, no amount of bbq sauce could make up for it. The fries were way over cooked. I tried to pawn them off on my wife and she took two and was like no way. Hers weren’t as over cooked. The bright side is they finally got rid of the wicker chairs! These hemorrhoid producing things were so uncomfortable. This place just seems to be on the decline.

My friend said«this place has the best BBQ pork, beef and etc.» I got to this place and its a fast food kinda store. Ok, no big deal. The store is clean. Super friendly staff. Offered us free ice cream before we got our food. My friend ordered two family style meals. The portions were huge. Definitely worth the money. Let’s get down to the taste. The two sauce. Original and the slightly lighter but sweeter sauce. Lol. Definitely the original sauce tasted better. Biscuits, Mac and cheese, potato salad, beef, pulled pork and pork. Lol. It was a lot of meat. Biscuit on the dryer side. Mac and cheese is ok. Almost like whiz and Mac. Potato salad was not my cup of tea. The meats were good with the dipping sauce. The original sauce was the best sauce. The free ice cream tasted like fat free yoghurt. Lol. I’m a fatty so I like my ice cream rich, creamy and fattening. Lol. Overall this place is made for meat lovers and the BBQ flavor of down south. Would I try this place again? Yes, maybe! But not for awhile. It’s a glorified carnivore spot. Great parking space.

After spending a day at Wild Water Kingdom the family was way too hungry to sit and wait for food. We decided to try this place and loved it! The food was good and fast for a great price!

We went here when it first opened and were not impressed. Needless to say, we haven’t been back since(5+ years). So the other day when we were in the area and tired of eating at the same places, we decided to give it another try. Nothing has changed on the inside. It’s a bit of a mess, although it’s clean. Soda machine was spewing all over the floor next to where you order. There used to be a vat of pickles for customers to snack on, which unfortunately appears gone now. We did ask for pickles when we got our food and they brought us a few spears in plastic bags. Ok, acceptable since it’s a chain. As for the BBQ, we got the Southern Pulled Pork and Texas Style Chopped Beef Brisket sandwiches. Both we actually really good this time. For sides we tried the BBQ beans, fried onion tangles, mac n cheese and waffle fries. All were netter than average for a fast food offering, with the last two being especially good. There is a free ice cream machine, serving only vanilla and what tasted more like ice milk the actual ice cream. I was ok but nothing worth mentioning other that it’s there. So in the end, we’re glad wet gave it another try after some many years. It’s definitely an acceptable fast food offering if your in the area.

I give it 3 out of 5 not because the food is great. But, it’s a chain and you know what you’re getting. Consistently average at best. If you want bbq and you’re not in KC or Texas, I guess this place will do.

I just did the mobile to go food yesterday. The mobile app was a breeze to use. Everything was very simple and explained. Went into the store and the place smelled delicious. I came in about 15 minutes early, had ice cream, for my sauces together and the manager was getting my order together. She apologized for not having it ready when I arrived and thanked me for being understanding. The sandwich was amazing as well as the waffle fries. The mac and cheese kinda tasted like stouffers. Wasn’t too thrilled on that. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the side and the fact that none of our sandwiches were cut in half.

Went to the one in Norristown. The baked beans were horrific. If you sell BBQ it’s important to have good baked beans overall the service was great loved the free ice cream offer great for kids.

This place was great when it opened up. People haven’t cared about service and the portions have gotten smaller and smaller. For example I asked for a side of pickles and I got three single pickle slices in a large container. What a waste. Food tastes good. Just portions are small and prices are expensive for what you get.

In my opinion, this is the best«fast food» barbecue around. The portions are large, you get a 32oz souvenir cup at every visit, free deli pickle and free ice cream. The pulled pork sandwich is my favorite, with their sweet barbecue sauce and waffle fries. The serve a full line of fountain drinks with crushed ice as well as southern style sweet tea and free refills. The service is friendly and quick. The atmosphere is very laid back and enjoyable with the tv’s on the walls. Definitely one of the best places to go in the area if you’re watching your money and want a good quick meal.

Not bad for a chain, but I’ve certainly had better. Let’s face it, if you’re out in the sticks, your food choices can be somewhat limited. Personally I would have liked a mom and pop bbq place but I was unable to come across one. I came here with a couple friends after a brewing session. The food wasn’t bad. The pulled pork and sausage were actually quite decent. What bothered me were my boiled to death, nearly flavorless green beans and my not spicy at all jalapeño beans. The sides were really lackluster at this place. They give you free ice cream which is nice. It’s simple soft-serve but it helps after the meal. Oh and if you get a drink, the signature cup they force on you is about 45 ounces. Supersize me anyone? Not fantastic but if you’re desperate, you can do worse.

Went to Dickey’s on the recommendation of a friend and came away somewhat disappointed. There really wasn’t any atmosphere to be found; it’s your typical fast food setup: order at the counter and wait for your food. I ordered the 2 meat plate with pulled pork and brisket, mostly so I could try two things. For sides I went with mac & cheese and waffle fries. Before our food came out, I got a free pickle, which they have on the counter with the soda fountain. It was ok, but not great. I would’ve preferred pickle spears rather than a whole pickle. The meal came out pretty quickly, and was brought to our table. The food was ok. I found it strange that the meat didn’t have any barbecue sauce on it when it came out – I had to go and get some to add, because the meat by itself was pretty tasteless. After adding the BBQ sauce, it was alright, but not great. The mac & cheese was terrible – there was no flavor whatsoever, and it seemed like it was a couple days old. The waffle fries were great, however. All in all, the meal wasn’t terrible, but I definitely don’t have any desire to go back.

I was in the mood for some ribs after the other reviews. I went there and ordered the polish sausage(recommended by someone on Unilocal) and some pork ribs. The polish sausage was bland. Compared to Famous Dave’s sausage this was like eating a meaty rice cake. The pork ribs were okay. It was cooked but didn’t have the smokey flavor of something BBQed. The best part about this place was the free pickles. OMG! They are the best. I usually don’t even pickles alone but had one based on another recommendation. Definitely worth it. Oveall, a decent place if you want some BBQ but nothing special
