Been going to Turka for a little over a year and I’m not sure what happened. When I first started going there as a group, the service was excellent and prompt. Now, as of late, the service is horrible. I’ve seen so many people walk out and now I’ve joined that group. You walk in, there’s hardly anyone around to seat you. After they finally seat you, you’ll wait 20 – 30 minutes for them to just take your order. Forget it, not worth the time anymore. Sultana is much better and worth going to. Such a shame for a place that had good hookah and service in the past. It’s fallen far. Tonight was my last attempt going there. We waited 10 minutes just to be seated and instead of taking our order and acknowledging us, the server walked outside and smoked. We waited 20 minutes after being seated and decided to leave, taking our business to Sultana. The server saw us leave and made no attempt to stop us or apologize. Not worth wasting your time here.

Pretty interesting place but 2.95 charge per person for BYOB even if you’re not using their glasses little too pricey for me to buy beer and drink it out of the bottle

Great flavors, I don’t like fruity shisha so rose and clove was great. Turkish coffee good also. Great music(vinyl!). And great service too.

I’ve been to Hookah bars all over and I was so surprised to find one in this quiet city. I mean, the fact that it stays open so late on weekends in Bethlehem is great. And on the North Side! The SO and I wandered in last Saturday night. Our waiter was casual and friendly, and above all, helpful. We were a bit sad to see no drinks on the menu, but this place is BYOB with a small fee per person. He directed mah dude to Rippers for a six pack, and then it was game on. We did a tame rose + guava flavor, which was perfect. We ordered Turkish Coffees which were cute, and great for those of us who may have had a drink or two before we came in. Maybe it’s because it was slow, but we were not rushed at all, and that’s a first for us in regards to Hookah lounges. Usually waiters are pushing everything onto you every 20 minutes, but we really got to relax, and enjoy ourselves. We stayed so long I needed a bite. Hookah Turka offers a dainty but great sandwich menu. I got«The Moz», which is the classic Tomato, Mozarella, Basil Panini. This is a small operation, so the waiters prepare the food. It was good, and exactly what I wanted. Atmosphere is your standard fair for Hookah. The lit-up little tables were nice to see, and I love the curtains for privacy. Bathrooms are clean! A+ Chalkboards are always fun too. The Pandora Station was a nice choice as well. We will be back! Our Damage: $ 48.00 for 2 people + 1 flavor + another coal + 2 Turkish Coffees + BYOB fees + our«Moz» sandwich. That’s really not too shabby for a hookah bar, and certainly well worth the 2 hours we spent there. Also, don’t forget to tip! Heads up: Cash only! There is a Wells Fargo right next door with an ATM.

It’s a nice place to go on a night out and the service was very nice. The champagne gold ceiling does a good job setting the mood. As a first time hookah user, it was cool. I would definitely come again!

If you’re looking for a chill night out with some friends or even a fun date, hookah Turka is the perfect place to go. Their food is super fresh and always on spot, the smoothies and masala chai tea lattes are tasty and their unique blend of hookah flavors keep you coming back for more! Overall, a great place and a much better alternative than what Bethlehem has to offer… come on guys… Starters pub? Are you kidding me?

Honestly, the biggest waste of 30 minutes ever. I can not imagine how anyone could give this place more than 1 star. We arrived and were 1 of 3 other tables at the establishment on a Saturday night(alarm bells went off immediately). After sitting down in the somewhat awkward and dirty cushioned area we were greeted by my educated guess as the owner. She seemed very nice but after looking at the menu I could tell that we were probobly in for a disappointing time. The hookah is sold per person(1 hose a person) and with a big bowl with one cheap instant light coal. If you want more coals they charge you a fee. ASANEXPERIENCEDHOOKAHSMOKERANDSELFPROCLAIMEDPROFESSIONALHOOKAHMAKER I can with experience say that the cheap, disgusting coals they use are as cheap as you can get and to actually put on a menu that you charge for more is absolutely hilarious. Our hookah was made poorly and improperly because of the lack of being able to smoke it. the pan underneath where the coal and bowl are located was so disgusting and dirty that some black nasty juice off of it dripped onto me. After a second attempt at it the hookah came back and 4 min of intense trying I was able to get it going only to get the burning and chemical taste from the charcoal. The Turkish coffee is very disappointing and after about 25 – 30 of sitting there(15 of which was waiting for slow service) we decided to leave. The owner/s should take a trip to Turkey and visit some authentic hookah joints and maybe take a short trip to the NYC metro area to see what a real hookah lounge is.

Definitely one of the Valley’s coolest hang outs. I’m not a Hookah smoker, but the food is amazing and the baklava is the best I’ve ever tasted. The perfect atmosphere to sit and relax with a Turkish coffee.

If I could give this pace zero stars I would. I have plenty of experience with hookah and hookah bars and this place is ridiculously disappointing. I pack and smoke friends hookah and also go weekly to the hookah lounges at Penn State. I was home visiting friends and they suggested to go to Hookah Turka. I had never been there but they said it was really nice. Let me tell you my story… First off, everyone who is smoking needs their own hose. That, my friends, is a complete waste of money and their way of screwing you over. We had a party of 6 so we ordered 23 hose hookahs. For a party of six, 1 three hose hookah would be fine. A two hose hookah is usually enough for 8 people to enjoy in my experience. This is their first way to rip you off. Secondly, the prices are outrageous but apparently not the most expensive in the area. $ 16 for three hose? Really… come on now. So we had to get two hookahs totaling $ 32. For that, we could have almost bought our own hookah. Third, they get off at charging you tax twice. The menu said $ 16 per hookah. Our bill came out to $ 16.96 for each hookah. Extra flavor is two dollars but on our bill it was $ 2.12. So those taxed hookah prices were added to create a subtotal which was taxed again. EVENMORE they charged us $ 5 something tip which you’ll see why they didn’t deserve. Also, when I was re-reading the menu, I saw their notices that non-smokers must buy at least a $ 3 drink and anyone who wants to BYOB is charged $ 2. Really? I am going to pay you so I can drink my own beer? Never in my life have I been charged to drink my own alcohol unless it was bottle service were they actually do work and serve you. Ok, so yeah they definitely screw you out of your own money, but I can get over that for good service, but I can’t even give them that. We made reservations for 10:30 and ordered almost immediately. From the time we ordered, it took over 30 minutes to receive our hookah. At home, I can pack hookah in less than 10. Every place I go to at school takes less than 10. Why would I want to wait 30 minutes and then tip you? Even more, I had the audacity to order a drink which took another 15 minutes. When the server brought my drink he said, and i quote, «Did anybody order a lemonade. Wow man, I’m so glad I remembered that.» Like really? Your job is prepare hookah and serve drinks. Get your act together. The hookahs we ended up having were mediocre at best. The one hookah hit alright but the other one we got was weak at best. We had 6 people trying to get the one hookah to start up for about 20 minutes and it never hit right the entire time we were there. Part of the problem I think is the tips that they use for«sanitary» reasons. The male tips were far too thin for the hoses they were using. The tips did not fit and slipped out of half of our hoses. You would try to take a hit and end up with a tip in the back of your throat. We ended up dropping one on the floor and were unable to get service to have a replacement. Honestly, I have used male and female tips at several hookah places and this was the only hookah lounge where I felt they were just terrible. The only pro of our trip was the flavors. Even though the hookah itself was mediocre and expensive, the flavors were delicious. If I wasn’t with a group of friends I would have complained and attempted to get a replacement hookah but really, I don’t think I would have wanted to wait around for another half hour so they could pack another one. Honestly, there are not many hookah bars in the Lehigh Valley and if this is where you have to go then I don’t blame you. But I will never return. I would rather put up with crappy music and half-naked servers at Essence before returning to Hookah Turka.

When our evening began, I never imagined my partner and I would end up at a Hookah Turka after midnight. We were visiting Bethlehem and tried to stop by another restaurant that was open late, only to find out they had turned into a club and weren’t serving food. We were starving vegans having a food crisis in a town we weren’t familiar with and thought Hookah Turka may be the answer. We don’t smoke, but weren’t bothered by the atmosphere. Think laid back café with unique seating: someone clearly went crazy furniture shopping. Pretty much everyone else there was smoking and seemed to be having a good time. Seating can get rather cozy – expect to sit VERY close to your neighbors and hear everything they say. Since we’re on vacation, it was interesting to eavesdrop. But if you’re a local, you may find it irritating. Their menu states they want you to enjoy the slow Turkish pace(or something) that is the Hookah bar experience, so don’t come expecting anything to happen quickly. It is CASHONLY, so bring that too. Our server was a soft-spoken nice guy. We had one of everything vegan on the menu – several metzes with bread and carrot sticks, as well as some grape leaf wrapped stuff Everything was yummy and tasted fresh. Our server offered to bring us more bread free of charge – we were too full, but it was a nice offer. All in all a unique and interesting experience. They are open CRAZY late – 3 am on Fridays and Saturdays. Night owls rejoice!

My favorite hookah lounge in Bethlehem! Very relaxing and aesthetically pleasing. A great place to go on a date or with a group of friends! I recommend the flavors«Code 69» and«Blue Mist». Request 2 coals for a smokier experience if you are a seasoned patron of hookah :)

This place is a nice little non bar hideaway in downtown Bethlehem. I go to HT about once a week and have yet to have a truly bad experience. The place is usually loaded on Fridays and Saturdays and they have open mic nights on Mondays and thursday nights. The owner is lovely and very knowledgable. She also provides awesome teas along with great smokes.

Hookah is an interesting experience and a great way to spend time socializing with friends. These establishments are rare in small cities in Pennsylvania, so the addition of this venue adds a unique spin on the Downtown Bethlehem community. They have a large menu for hookah, and interesting blends of flavors. Although I was tempted to thy the«Snozberries,» we were more conservative and had the Lemon & Mint blend. It was very enjoyable. This establishment is a BYOB, and there is a $ 5 corking fee. For customers not enjoying hookah, there is a requirement to purchase a drink at the business. In addition to hookah, they also have a small menu and there staff is pleasant.

I had a small group of folks looking for a traditional relaxing hookah bar to go to on a Saturday night. We also definitely wanted BYOB and also some snacks. There are basically 3 options to choose from in the Bethlehem area and by far Hookah Turka was the best for us. We went to one other establishment, trying to write a review for that after this one, which says it’s BYOB on its website but it turned out not to be… very very annoying. The staff at Hookah Turka was very nice, the prices seemed reasonable and the atmosphere was relaxing. Food was nothing special but I don’t think you really go to these places for the food. We’ll definitely stop back if we’re looking for a relaxing night out for BYOB and some snacks. If you’re definitely heading to a Hookah bar in the area I’d recommend trying this one first unless you are looking for a club/techno/packed bar scene, then try one of the others.

A friend had been wanting to bring me here for almost a year now. We finally went today. It was some experimenting, some hot chay, some smoothies some about dogs, some about relaxation, some about being able to chat with my girlfriends. If you cannot already tell, I loved the place. It is a minute away from downtown bethelhem. Clean beautifully done place, owned by this most adorable young lady whose charisma and charm resonates in this hookah lounge. It doesn’t have a huge selection, but what is there is good. Definitely worth a try why visiting Bethlehem. Tends to get busy over the weekends. But a great place to relax and hang out with your friends.

Hookah Turka… i don’t think words can express how much i love this place… they’re great for after the bars or just for a lazy Monday evening with friends. There are a lot of choices for the hookah flavor, which means you just have to keep going back to try them all… I’m sure you will find a favorite or a few :) Has a great atmosphere which makes you feel like you’re sitting in a hookah lounge somewhere in Europe and the service is great. Aside from the hookah, they have a selection of appetizers and sweets. My personal favorite is the Turkish coffee… they actually know how to make it. It always has the nice thick layer of foam, which is the best part.(i refuse to drink my Turkish coffee unless the thick layer of foam is there) Thank you Hookah Turka for making each experience there better then the last ;)

I came here after my friends recommended it. When we decided to visit they had live DJ and belly dancer. I loved the fact that they are open till 4 am, in downtown Bethlehem and they have free parking for customers. Now if you live in or around Bethlehem you know what a treat it is to find free parking :). Now the food: it is so fresh and yummy and hookah flavors are abundant. Owner told us that she makes all food on premises. You have to try her Baklava. She told us it was her grandma’s recipe. The fare is sort of Middle Eastern but more Mediterranean. Organic tea, coffee and fresh brewed Jasmine tea is my favorite. We ha d an issue with our hookah once and they resolved it and sealed the deal with comp. Baklava… how can I resist? Try this place. you won’t be sorry.
