The best people (talent and personality) work here. Not only do I come here to get my hair done by Mr Fabulous Kusero, but now I’m bringing my friends (lol, all the way from the East Coast) to experience the talent and magic of Cush’s magician Hector who did an amazing job on my friend’s hair this past weekend. Definite must for your hair care and beauty!

(Cut & Style) — HECTOR RODRIGUEZ does wonders with a pair of scissors! He executes the exact look I want even when I didn’t know I wanted it ha-​ha. To put simply, he’s a talented artist who knows exactly what to do and always considers your opinion.
(Color) — What I appreciate the most about him, is his highlight and lowlight placement; definitely a true art form. It’s effortlessly natural!
This is a top notch salon and you will definitely not be disappointed.

I’ve been going to Cush for over a year, and always cut my hair with Anna. My first experience was a walk-​in because I work across the street, and Anna had just had a cancellation so she cut my hair and it was the best cut I’ve ever had. Since then, I’ve gone to Anna once a month, including the occasional touch-​up when needed. She is fun to talk with, super funny and a great person. and she gives THE BEST HEAD MASSAGES when shampooing my hair. Of the hour hair cut, probably ten full minutes are with the shampooing/​massage which I love. Anna has never messed up my hair, always suggests new ideas and is fun to hang out with. Also, to make an appt I text her directly and she always responds right away with availability. Her price is also extremely affordable, much cheaper than most BH salon prices. I highly recommend her and Cush salon!

CUSH is BY FAR the BEST and MOST POSITIVE experience I have had ever in regards to BOTH Cut AND Color. The moment Anna gave me my first fade and the most perfect and long-​lasting beige blonde treatment, I was hooked — as I’ll remain FOREVER! The realization that I had finally gotten exactly what I wanted for my hair was bittersweet as I realized I had wasted so much money for years at various other salons pursuing the result Anna gives me — each and every time without fail! She’s also a real personable stylist, gives great advice, and always sends you out onto La Cienega feeling and looking incredible and even feeling much better than you did when you walked in. I love CUSH and its cast of characters (especially the lovely Chelsea at the desk and her precious dog, Maddie), and I couldn’t recommend the every stylish Anna more highly! FIVE STARS!

Alex is ridiculously talented. He listens to your vision, takes the time to discuss the best approach, and provides guidance when needed. You can also leave it up to him entirely with little direction and still come out looking better than what you would’ve envisioned on your own. After the initial discussion, he works his magic. Watching him cut and color is like watching an artist perfecting his piece. Alex is extremely meticulous and has great attention to detail. He’s also super sweet and has awesome stories, so time flies by when you’re in his chair. My friend, who has amazing hair, recommended Alex two years ago. Since then, I’ve referred family, friends and co-​workers without any hesitation. Everyone loves him. He’s an expert at creating a sultry, ombré, layered look with tons of body.
The new location has a great vibe. Hector, the owner, has created a very unique look.

I have been coming to Carlos aka Sugarskulls for 2 years and have consistently received the best cuts of my life. He understands style, and has just the right amount of «edge». I get approached on the street regularly by people complimenting my Hair. Carlos has an understanding of barber principles mixed with the finesse of a high end stylist– the cut is only one half of the equation, he doesn’t stop there… he takes the time to educate you about your hair and how to style it to accentuate your features.

The crew here is awesome! I go to Melanie for cuts and color :) When going back to brown she nailed my root color with her low lights which REALLY helped me make the transition seamless!

I’m not from LA. Needed my fade done really well. I followed (Carlos) sugar skulls on Instagram for some time. Finally, was able to get booked in with him and I will say it is one of the best cuts I’ve had. He’s such a humble dude and very welcoming and friendly. His co-​workers we’re all so kind too!
